Amy's closeup on her right eye tells me this is a girl with Metal Sonic PTSD.
I wonder if anyone pointed this out yet. In a way, Amy formed an early version of Team Rose. Ray was the friendly flight companion. Bark was the big power companion. Heck, even the blue Flicky could be a stand-in for Cheese. _Personally, I would've used Carrotia and Honey._ With the latest TailsTube video, I hope the gates have been opened for Classic characters to appear in the Modern era and vice-versa. Within reason of course. Maybe Classic Charmy is a baby bee. I mean, the Mario series have shown how active baby characters can be. I hope Knuckles' 30th Anniversary Special features him wearing his treasure hunter hat. I'd hoped that he would team up with the Chaotix or fight EggRobos, but having him start a rivalry with Fang is... fine...
I'm aware of the new TailsTube that came out regarding Classic Era characters & games. I was already too far into editing to fully adjust to it. The best I could do was make a last minute note in the video. Timing was not good to me in this case.
Honestly, I’m just glad that it seems like they’re going away from the “two dimensions” thing and back to the timeline by having modern Sonic acknowledge classic characters. At least it’s confirmation they do in fact exist and weren’t just wiped from existence in the modern era. Just hope that this is hinting towards Sega getting rid of their classic character restrictions.

Something I found interesting reading around is that apparently Tarot card reading in japan is meant to be something girls do casually when they’re young so supposedly the tarot thing wasn’t meant to mean much in terms of anything mystical but showing off the kind of girl Amy was with a shorthand Japanese people would understand
Wished this was mentioned in the review, but the colours in this special really pop out. The shadings, the different colour palettes from panels like Amy's expressions throughout the comic like her fear of Metal Sonic, and the faded backgrounds for flashbacks, the colour scheme kinda reminds me of the art style of the Sonic CD cutscenes. To me, in comparison with the previous anniversary specials, Amy's anniversary special has the best colouring throughout the comic.

yeah so bean is related to Bin and Pin from the sega arcade game Dynamite Düx can't remember what the exact relation was but I do know Bin and Pin's designs were a heavy inspiration for Bean.
So we're all in agreement that knuckles special might be either a focus on Angel Island or they might just go ahead and lump in team chaotics's one after all I don't think they are going to really encourage the revival of the 32 X? I wonder if there will ever go with the idea that we have been following junior in the modern era and senior is in the past era for the bee it would be kind of interesting if they played up with that?
This was a fun comic. I personally had no idea it was out until I saw it at the comic store and immediately grabbed it. The plot was simple but fun. I enjoy character meeting new characters and teaming up. It was an interesting team up. And the art was fantastic
The reality is the reason why knuckles chaotic Sis never use is because the English translation made him 16 when he should been 6. after Sonic Heroes, all English comics must make sure that he a kid.
Were the tarot cards idea from Sonic CD came from the Japanese manual or the American manual? Cuz I don't think it was in the American manual I think due to the religious reference
Considering what I’ve heard, Japanese seems more likely as what I heard was Tarot was a hobby young girls partake in casually so mysticism may not have been considered when adding that detail during Amy’s inception
The Classic Era stories are always a good time. I’m mostly fine with them being relegated to special occasions, but I wouldn’t be mad if they were more frequent either.
I'm glad that Sonic Cannon is being organized to have everything explained especially The Disappearance of classic era characters in the modern era and explanations for past Adventures of the characters although I'm still wondering how they're going explain Knuckles chaotix and that's the weird one, in Sonic Heroes it was they're reintroduction, it's supposed to be a fresh new start and then the game was considered Non Canon but the game was reintroduce back into Canon so that's going to have some weird Ripple effects

I get that they wanted to show there's more to Amy than being a hammer wielding powerhouse, but they could've at least tone down the flash cards tremendously. Like I was looking back at the episode of Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi, where Yumi relay too much on that fortune fish
How was amy story is the weakest among the stories and after that imma whoop your ass like how your biological landlord who evicted you after 9 months do it
Sega didn't do a special for Sonic Satam's anniversary because they don't care about this show, that maybe the reason the blu-ray version of Satam is garbage.
