SPOILERS FOR TEARS OF THE KINGDOM:
I really like this take of Zelda still being traumatized by the guardians. It would explain why there's barely any trace of them or the divine beasts in tears of the kingdom. As a symbol of moving on from the past traumas that haunt her and everyone else in Hyrule, she could have had them destroyed.
I think Ganondorf was creepy when I find him with Zelda.

I also felt it weird that we’re not Link, so I decided to imagine that we’re an incarnation of the Hero of Time in between his major escapades, where maybe he has a different name. So, we’re Link, but also not Link. That perspective also makes some of the other things she says in both parts 1&2 make more sense, too, since there are a few lines that suggest we could be an incarnation of Link.
The third video was amazing, i fell asleep and woke up with a great night's sleep. All three videos were the most relaxing ASMR. 10/10, saving to my ASMR folder.

I'm not the author but the way I interpreted this scenario was that the feelings between Link and Zelda either a) weren't romantic or b) were one sided.
The scripts were written before TotK, and while I totally love the canon couple, I think this scenario is unique & beautiful in that it gives women who like Zelda a chance to experience the self-insert fantasy too :)
