Ascap 850 Don't get the sa 12 if the p3 blows. Get the SoundQubed HDC3 12. it has a much bigger triple stacked Y-40 grade magnet compared to the Sundown sa's double stacked magnet and lower grade Y-35 magnet. And plus the SoundQubed HDC3 has a 3 inch voice coil compared to the sa's 2.5 inch coil. And the HDC3 is hand build in America and not in China like the Sundown sa's. And they are the same price, but one is much better lol

Those are great subs i got a t1500 on two of them n i got 100pw rms goin to them u did somthin wrong that amp had to of been clipping n that coil is burn not blown only blown if the coils came udown they might have but it didnt look it
I have 2 of these subs and one has blown, my 1000w amp keeps clipping. I blew the sub when setting up the bass control knob. I set the amp settings with the bass knob on minimum so when I turned up the bass knob, I blew it. Rookie mistake.

Love how the new rockford subs P series at least have a pointed dustcap thats inverted so when the bass gets heavy it bumps the piece of foam mounted on the pole piece instead of bottoming out.. but this also allows you to overdrive the sub and not know.. and not sure for those that are failure with the old fosgate subs but the xmax or excursion levels used to be amazing.. now theyre cheap (sound nice at low volume) but just cant flex like they used to. Fosgate will no longer get my business in the subwoofer market... on to Sundown for real XMAX.
I have run 2 of these for 6 months on 1800 watts......clean power my ass on those subs. you don't smoke a coil like that unless you are clipping the shit out of it.

The place I bought it from has in house warranty and exchanged no questions asked and still went home turned the gain all the way down and still mashed on that shitty sub! I won't ever waste money on fosgate junk. Rather save my money
Your the subwoofer king but you know nothing about subwoofers " I don't think he had the gain up all the way" the gain is not for power or volume. You can put a 2000watt RMS amp on a 150watt RMS speaker it's all how you set your gains
He had 500 watt rms amp hooked to a 400 watt rms sub and he even said he THOUGHT the sub was 600 watt. That's what you call NOT KNOWING WHAT YOUR DOING. He said the gain wasn't turned up all the way. LOL. What a idiot.
Stop assuming. This wasn’t even my system. I have a system with 3 extra batteries, high output alternator, multiple runs of 0 gauge. I have a high end system that I tuned myself because I’m been doing it for years

If you would have took that off cleanly you could have replaced the coil and had a working subwoofer but now you destroyed the cone
This sub has a small weak magnet anyways. I only use big boy subs, with big coils and magnets

What brand of amp is it? If you don't have at least 2 extra barratries or a upgraded high output alternator. You're not pushing a true 6000watts RMS
