many people believe the standard of football is much higher now but i say that is bollocks. look at the quality within these two second division teams. a few years earlier it took a truly outstanding west ham side three years to get back into the top flight. and at that time virtually all the players in the league were british. nowhere near as much skill or flair nowadays.
