- Chrono Trigger Jets of Time Randomizer. First time ever trying this and I have no idea what I'm doing. *SPOILERS below for my overall thoughts regarding the randomizer*
I absolutely love and adore Chrono Trigger to the max. I've always considered it a contender for one of my favorite games of all time.
That said, I felt like the randomizer fell flat. The combat feels slow and intrusive a lot of the time. There are so many forced random encounters, as opposed to Final Fantasy VI randomizer which lets you skip most "regular" battles, unless you have a specific reason to do them.
I haven't fully explored all of the randomizer settings, so maybe there are better options available. But this is my initial impression based on a "normal" settings randomizer.

Oh man I am hype for this, finally a randomizer of a game I know well enough to actually follow what's happening.

I listen to the OST every once in a while, but I haven't finished this in maybe 12 or 13 years. Plenty of times during this video I'm like "Hey, isn't there a bunch of chests... over there?", nope, memory sucks :D

Yeah, Chrono Trigger is widely regarded as one of the greatest games ever made, it's an amazing piece of art but underrated it is not.

Wow.. Black Rock, if memory serves, unlocks Magus ultimate tech/combo. That would be a ridiculous find if you knew what it did, lol

Chrono Trigger is Best Music in an RPG - The Game. Every tune is amazing.
Lmao dude Ayla started learning kiss as soon as Crono joined lol she loves strong man =)
However since its a RANDOMIZER while Charm is useful I'm not sure if the items stolen are RANDOM IE if the Giant's Claw boss does NOT have the Red Mail to steal then you MUST find the enemy that DOES since I'll NEVER fight Son of Sun ever without the ENTIRE party absorbing FLARE first.
As for Giga Gaia if the 1 Rubble NE of the 1st save point can be killed over and OVER I still recommend learning EVERY 2x and 3x tech in game by LV 40 BEFORE fighting it.
Once Ayla learns CHARM on this mod KEEP her in the party sure the Mail/Vests COULD be buyable but are TOO costly your better off FINDING them in chests OR STEALING them.

ways to challenge lavos: bucket at end of time, black omen, epoch travel to 1999 and in new game plus the green sparkly at the right pod. to get one of the many endings (i think a total of 12) will depend on when u challenge lavos using the green sparkly, or one of the mentioned endings, and whether u revive crono or not after he passes. there is also the forced lavos fight which is with a super OP version of Lavos after u travel to the ocean palace and before the epoch gets wings during the 400 bc or w/e it is ice age before it all shrinks down.

It gives magus Lucca and marle dark eternal when one of wears the black rock and its a triple tech
However it still sucks even on the NON modded games the Only USEFUL one is the SILVER Rock Tech sure its Single Target but since LEFT Pod lavos 3 BATTLE CAN make the effects of the Prism Helms useless the faster you temporarily off it the Better and it absorbs ALL elemental damage so only the Silver Rock 3x Tech can damage it so could the GOLD rock but not only does that require the Upgraded Masmune equipped to use it it uses Frog Squash so as a 3x tech the Gold rock one SUCKS.
Even on the non Mods the Gold Rock 3x Tech can NOT be used on a NG+ run WITHOUT getting the upgraded Masamune ALL over again.

i noticed lightning 2 only has 2 streams instead of the usual 4. is that a rando thing or a low lvl thing? ive never seen it with 2. 1:02:48 for refference
the 4 yellow light beams radiating from the user? I saw all 4, maybe it's a framerate thing or a glitch with your video playback. they do flash rapidly so that's a possibility
@@antimatt_r maybe. I was watching it on my phone and computer and i only see 2. But later i saw 4 but only temporary. It had 4 but then glitched to 2.

It actually is. Robo’s theme is based off that song and was a Rick roll before Rick rolling was a thing.

This was fun to watch, but doesn't compare to the FF6 randomizer. I don't think it's the game itself, I think it's the design. They really should have done level scaling better and not randomized skills for extra challenge. Also they need to remove all forced battles. Those tweeks alone would do wonders I think.
Randomized skills are an optional flag, as are quite a few other settings.
