It is a job that so many people desperately want but don't get........it really hurts when you see a pretty girl or boy have this much coveted job and then quit; if only they knew how many people pine for this job day and night!!
@LoveFoodDogs : Thank you for your elaborate explanation....I do understand! By the way you were extremely lucky to have gotten hired by Delta! Did you know that every year over 40000 people apply for flight attendant jobs for Delta alone!! They say it is easier to get selected for Harvard Univ. that to get hired as a flight attendant by Delta Airlines. I disagree with you when you say that the flight attendant job is "looked down " upon in the US, certainly not if you are working for the major legacy carriers especially Delta. You may be right about it when it comes to working for regional airlines or budget airlines like Spirit etc. I do however find that the quality of flight attendants that the airlines are hiring in the US has gone down tremendously compared to what it was like in the 70s and 80s. There is no comparison between them and lets say the flight attendants in Emirates....just look at imbrigita, you would be VERY hard pressed to find a flight attendant of her caliber in US airlines....the politeness and refinement is missing!!

You really think so? 😲 thank you! No, nothing. I have a very sensitive skin but considering I wear makeup almost daily I should probably go for facials more often than once in 6 months haha. I only use Black African Soap to wash my face in the evening. 🤗

I kept my name tags and my hat because it has so many sentiments to me. But you can also keep your bag and shoes if you want, I returned all of that. 😊

My skin is so red and sensitive! Is the breakout recent or something you had for a while? Could be hormonal, could be stress or diet! So many factors can affect it.

I know, the timing of this message that I quit was not quite right for this video, but I was always postponing to film this get ready with me video till I couldn’t wait anymore. It was actually my last flight with Emirates. And I will make the video explaining why I quit my job with the airline in the next couple of months, right now I’m in the process of transitioning my life and I feel a lot of pressure “to explain” why but I will share my story when the time is right. Because I never imagined myself doing this job forever. It’s a tiring job and 3 years of sleepless nights for the price of seeing the world was enough. Now I want to travel but without paying that price. ☺️🌸
imbrigita I excepted this reason. What about pilots? How they stay in the job till they’re 60?
It’s a very different job working in a cabin around 400 people, and flying the plane. They usually have a little bit less flying hours. It depends what do you like aviation or traveling or both. Based on that you can choose what to study. 🌸

I think it’s normal that we strive to be happy. After 3 amazing years in the sky, I no longer felt happy & challenged. I didn’t feel any progress. I also received a better job opportunity and that is why I decided to make this change in my life. Nothing related to the country as I’m staying in Dubai. 😊

I was sad to leave! But the first step is the hardest. There is so much life outside the airplane and the sleepless nights. It’s very easy to get sucked into the lifestyle and just feel like tike escaped from your hands, and trust me it’s not a nice feeling. So I wanted to be brave and take the risk before I had any regrets. 🙏🏼

Hi Xeniah, unfortunately tattoos in visible places are not allowed. Only standard earrings are allowed, so not on your top part of the ear.

Hmm.. I never noticed it tbh. I think it’s very matte plus thei aircraft air is so dry, so any liquid out of your body dries out instantly 😅
