I build these units and would like to share a bit of info....most of us love spot free washes and equipment, but every area of the country has different water quality, your formula is great info for all, but this is the governing factor....flow....the faster the water enters the resin and comes out the poorer/higher the TDS will be, you need to use a low flow nozzle to reduce output by at least 50% lower output the better life and results. also when you fill your resin housing make sure of 2 things 1;settle the resin by tapping the bottom lightly as you fill, 2; make sure your connections are correct; the water in should flow at the top down thru to the bottom of the resin and the clean Di water comes out/ up from the bottom pick up tube. Buy virgin Di resin about $200. CF our units have gallon flow meters to keep track of life at about 190 TDS in should give about 1600 gals. DI water again keep the exit flow down. A normal car wash using a pressure washer uses about 25 gals....pressure washers save water vs normal hose (60gals)
Great Video!! The Pillow Case is a great time saver. I just changed the Resin in my DI 50. I was done in 5 minutes!! Thank you for taking the time to make this video.
This was very helpful. I have the same DI Rinse Pro 50 and planning to change my resin today. So I checked TH-cam and your video came up. Perfect. Thank you for posting.
Loved the video. I purchased this exact unit after watching your video. I’m on 140gal of water ran through it and I have noticed the ppm on the tds is now at 4ppm. From what I understand anything above one can cause water spots and was wondering what your experience has been?
ow many gallons do you have to run thru the system, after soaping with hard water, before you get back to zero dissolved solids when turning the valves back on for the tank? Running a few priming gallons thru everytime to get to zero dissolved solids seems a little waststeful, hopefully not too much has to pass thru, right ? Curious if you measured that too (or can and comment), tks.
If you buy a 3/4 inch PVC pipe to replace the filtered pipe but just a little shorter you can attach it with a small hose coming out and run the water slowly and all the resin will come out the hose. Really easy instead of trying to dump it out. It takes about a minute.
I saw where someone asked you how long you were able to use the old resin & you said 9 months. How often would you say you were you using your tank during that time? I ask because once a month for 9 months would be lousy but every day for 9 months or multiple times a day would be awesome.
@@Chavez_Auto_Detailing that sounds like a good rate of return being used frequently like that with the water quality in your area. I'm ordering one today so I appreciate your quick reply!
Just ran across your channel man. How do you think this compares to the CRSpotless? I assume the CRSpotless would last longer considering it’s 2x 20 pounds
Depends how your setup is brother, because if your bypass on your pressure washer is routed all the way back to your tank like mine is you have to make sure you shut off your DI tank as soon as you let go of the trigger on your gun, or it will bypass all that DI water back into your tank.
Do you ever have a problem with the tank starting to smell after a refill? Mine lasted a year when new and with the new refill it lasted 2 washes, smells bad, and the tester says it’s time for new resin already
Here is a link to video to do it. But don't go to his extreme just replace the current filtered pipe with regular PVC 3/4 and it will run out with no problem even with quick connects. th-cam.com/video/xJ2Dt_s2TPo/w-d-xo.html

Obsessed Garage sprayer and wand. Nice!
Thanks bro!

TDS of 103 is something I can only dream of for my water. Just tested mine today and it was a TDS of 505 here in Orange County, California.
Damnnnnn 😬 Yeah if you were to use this it’ll work but won’t last very long, maybe couples months for you.
Perfect video, exactly what I needed.

No problem!
Thanks buddy great video. I also love my Mosmatic gun and wand :)
Thanks for the video! Cleared up some questions I had.✌
Awesome your welcome!
Dang our average is 400ppm. My di tank lasted 2 1/2 months of every day usage. Almost 600 gallons I'd say. But its so worth it thanks for the help
Great video brother 👍 just setting up my detail van and about to get one of this
Nice! 👍🏽
Could you make a video of how it’s used? Just wondering what the bypass valve is for. Awesome set up brotha!
Jose Melano yeah I got you. Hopefully this Monday after the 4th, I got some time to do my setup video and I’ll include that into it. 👍🏽
Do u use this just to rinse or do u wash the whole vehicle wit deionized water

Hello, haven’t measured that, currently switched to an electric pressure washer, so that I use less DI water.

I'm a weekend warrior, but do some appointments during the week. I would say about 4 days a week, average of 8 cars a week.

Just got mine, it’s a dual bed system I’m wondering at 115PPM average how many gallons I’ll get out of them!
That’s clean pretty clean water. You should get a little more time, if you use it right. 🤙🏽
103 that’s crazy low
Here in LA we at 420+
Wow 🤩

Sorry late reply, haven't really used CRSpotless, my neighbor bought one seems to not last as long as DI Rinse System, though.
awesome
How long did it last , if I’m a mobile detailer and I do 2 a day how long will it last

It should last you 6-9 months easy, if you careful not to waste any DI water. Any little counts.
@@Chavez_Auto_Detailing awesome do you have a video on how you set it up to your tank ? These Florida Summers are horrible with the water spots
@@GoebelsDetailshop78 I talk about it on my setup video. Haven’t made one of just how I hooked up my pressure washer yet.
Nice!
For How long did you use your old resin?
Elias Barajas Used it about 9 months.

When it’s in need of replacement, it will start smelling fishy. After a few months though not after two washes. What resin did you use?
I bought it from rv mods
How many gallons can this set make
Never calculated that brother, I just check the TDS like twice a month to see where it’s reading.

At what tds level do change out the resin
Roy Delgado DI Rinse recommends when it reads 50 tds
