I'm currently looking at the OWC Thunderbolt Dock Pro, its the only options I've found with 10GbE built-in..

Links to recommended TB4 to 10gbe adapters? Also, how fast is the sd reader? A lot of them are super slow compared to modern dedicated sd readers.

Thanks, interesting to hear about it. What I’ve found is that most TB docks are expensive and have long lead times (Dell WD19 TB, I’m looking at you) is this a better option? Thanks again.

It's not technically correct to say that "All of these TB4 ports are going to give you 40Gbps". They are individually capable, yes. But as you are connected to a host system that is also limited to 40gbps at the source, you will never get more than 40Gbps from the dock at any point in time no matter how many TB4-outs the dock gives you.
To achieve more you would need a dock that can connect two TB4 ports to your host. That could be handy actually. :)

Nice change from the nas videos as this is used as part of a normal workflow. 2.5gb should have been included.

Now you are actually getting somewhere with you channel. It’s not enough to test different NAS all day long, a development would be to test the entire work chain! A hub like this connected to ex TVS-672XT via TB4 and a MacBook/Windows machine, does it work with one cable from the computer? A gigabyte Ethernet in todays computer/hub/docking is pretty useless. A minimum would be 2,5Gbe.

1Gbe is still perfectly usable. 98% of users are not going to notice any difference whatsoever. If you **need** more than 1gbe can give then you probably need a lot more so then you should go to 10Gbe.
But, I do agree that there is no good reason for providers to put 1gbe instead of 2.5gbe at this point. But it's incorrect to say that 1gbe is useless.

The main reason why TB4 is not taking off is because they are too soddy expensive. 400 CAD for this device and why? TB3 was in the beginning licensed by Intel but TB4/USB4 does not longer have these limits. On the other hand most new laptop have at least AC connection, the last two years with AX on wireless, which is plenty fast for 80% of people. Apple has recently gotten back with more ports on their 14 and 16 inch laptops. It is very simple nobody needs these anymore because bluetooth 5.x is reliable and most newer devices have it. Also with just 60Hz on 4k it is not something that is future proof. This is a device that is okay for today but is not ready for tomorrow - or if some peeps like to say "future proof". Like who the hell knows what that even means....

Could you at least be bothered to connect this and try it before posting a review for it?
