Yes, the aquarium broke two years ago. In 2020 it had been completely overhauled after 15 years of usage. Still, material fatigue let to the acrylic breaking, flooding the hotel with 1 million liters of water (264172 gallons) and 1500 large and small fishes of all kinds, most of whom did not survive. It was called AquaDom. It will not be rebuilt. Instead, the hotel decided to build a "lving tree" a garden in the form of a giant tree, reaching up to the top of the hotel.

Cherry blossoms in the picture shows the Heerstrasse, Bonn, NRW, Germany. Do you don'T have green or red pasta in the US? Green colored with spinach, red with beetroot? And the Ice cream is green because the customer wanted pistachio ice (our ice-cream is what americans call Gelato (or something like that) ). Traditional Spagetti-Ice Cream is : First sweet whipped cream topped with Vanilla ice pressed through an Spagetti maker topped with strawberry sauce (simulating the Tomato sauce) and white chocolate flakes (simulating the parmesan cheese). Invented in Mannheim, Germany by an Italian Ice-Cream shop owner who wanted to make a funny ice for kids (that combines the best known foods of Italy - Pasta and Gelato).
Over here in Stuttgart, the ice cream parlor closest to me went all the way: They have spaghetti ice cream, either as 'tomato' (with red berry sauce) or 'carbonara' (with vanilla sauce and ruby chocolate flakes). They also have lasagna ice (pressed sheets of icecream interspersed with whipped cream and red berry sauce), as well as ice pizza (basically a vanilla ice cream bed spread out on the round plate, covered with red berry sauce and several small-sized chunks of ice cream and/or fruit & chocolate).
@@Peter_Cetera Durum wheat semolina and maybe eggs too are supposed to be in pasta. But Spaghetti ice? Just choose. I haven't tried the green version yet but I think that could be really nice. I agree, the Spaghetti Ice looks a bit odd. Usualy you make it from Vanilla Icecream, on top you pour Strawberry sauce instead of whole Strawberries and garnish it with white chocolate shavings. Yummie

Peter from Germany: Dear ladies, I'm happy that you like Germany so much. But I have to tell you that our neighboring countries are no less resourceful. Every country has its peculiarities. Please come to Europe for a longer period of time and see for yourself.
I lived in a small town in Germany not far from Düsseldorf before moving there. And even in this small town we had Cherry Blossom Trees. As a fan of japanese culture I loved that.
Yes that aquarium actually broke, it happend at Seaworld in Berlin, where I'm from, it was quite sad. But on a more positive note, I love your interest in German culture and hope you can visit sometime 🤍
The snowy bridge looks like the Geierlay Bridge in Sosberg in the state of Rheinland-Pfalz. It’s 360 meter long an 100 meter high. I’ve walk over there in Summer. It’s beautiful ☺️
I enjoyed this very much, lots of places to explore and enjoy, people get an image in their heads about what countries are like and then get suprised after seeing videos like yours. Wouldn't it be great if all your fans and you could really go to these places together. Well done girlies ❤❤
The bridge at minute 5:00 is in Kromlau in the northeast of Saxony on the Polish border. This is the Rakotz Bridge, also called the Devil's Bridge. This is a wonderful place. There is a park all around. A few kilometers east, in Bad Muskau, there is also a very beautiful park owned by Prince Pückler.
10:15 This thing is huge. To compare. The largest aircraft carrier, the "USS Ford", fits in completely. But then you can still place a Tico-class cruiser to the left and right. And next to that you can place a Burke-class destroyer on either side. The Eiffel Tower also fits lying down and the Statue of Liberty (without base) fits in twice, one on top of the other. In some weather conditions, clouds even form inside. Well, this year we're going on a short vacation again in one of the modern houses there. The Tropical Island is located 70 km southeast of Berlin. My kids love it.
I remember the Spaghetti ice cream (Spaghettieis) frpm from time spent in Germany as a child when my dad served in the British Army, it was delicious (think the green glass in the photo makes the ice cream green but it is not).
Uhm actually the Italian Eisdiele were I live has diffrent "noodles". We have classic (vanilla), whole flour (hazelnut) and green noodles (pistachio) server with strawberry sauce or "cabonara" with vanilla sauce. 😂😂😂 They offer Pizza ice, too. Vanilla base with strawberry sauce and fruit toppings. White chocolate shavings as cheese.
The differences in light come from the different types of street lighting used on both sides and not from the light bulbs in the apartments. Sodium vapor lamp in East and Fluorescent tubes in West.
the ice cream is "green" because the plate is green and the lighting is strange normaly the "classic" version of this ice is: Vanilla ice as "noodles" Strawberry sauce as "tomato sauce" and white chokolate as "parmesan" but there are many iterations of this ^^
Tropical Island water park - that blimp hangar isn't that old. It was built for the failed startup "Cargolifter", who were trying to build a giant airship to carry loads of up to 160 tons all across the globe.
when you start a job after school you are called lehrling(apprentice).when you are done after 3-4 years you become a Geselle (journeyman) and in some jobs, like the carpenter, you have to create and built a piece all by yourself.whenever you think you are ready to improve, you can make the meisterprüfung(master craftsman exam) to teach other apprentice or open your own business.
11:21 Eschenheimer Turm is a former late medieval watchtower that was situated at the city of Frankfurt’s walls‘ gate in the direction of the road to the village of Eschersheim. Iirc it now serves as a café. The building in the background… one sec… one of the skyscrapers, obviously… but we got over a dozen of them in Frankfurt… should be „Nextower“.
The watering cans being stolen or misplaced is a problem in graveyards in germany. Her e in my village we have a rack with two watering cans and some rakes and other tolls for all to be used and no one steales them. They even got replaced by someone when a toll is worn out or a can broken. Good, friendly community here.
the picture of the tropical island. shows only a small part. it is a family resort. you can book a room or a tent to sleep over there inside the water park. there are restaurants etc. even a hot air balloon. there are videos about it or visit their website

The Kromlau bridge, or correctly "Rakotzbrücke" or "Teufelsbrücke" (Devil's Bridge), you can find in "Kromlau Azalea and Rhododendron Park". It's always open with no fee (except for parking).
The watering can rack is really pedantic. Relatives come to Swedish graveyards for upkeep too but the local garderner makes sure there is a few watering cans on site, instead of each person bringing their own.
about the graveyard thing. in germany, differently from most english influence countrys, graves are often decoratet with flowers all year around. You are given the option to have a gardening service take care of this for you or to do it yourself. if you do it yourself you need to bring your own tools and since the watering cans are always quite big the graveyards sometimes provide a rack so you may look them up for the 3-7 day between your visits.
Great watching you girls trying to pronounce words! Quick guide, the general rule is that all letters are pronounced, the sounds made are as follows: w sounds like v, v sounds loike f, ie sounds like ee, ei sounds like eye, ä e or ae sounds like ay (as in bay), ö or oe sounds like er (as the pert), ü sounds like oo (as in boot), äu sounds like oy (as in toy). How to pronounce Wuppertaler Schweberbahn would be Voopa-tar-ler Sh-vay-ber-barn (I know, it becomes a tongue twister for English speaker but I've managed to master it after 20 years). Word of warning, the Germans have a habit of combining words to make longer words e.g. one hundred and fifty thousand becomes einhundertfunfzigtausend)
Second attempt at this post, which disappeared. A channel called 'Walk With Me Tim' does videos on hotels from five star from London to Dubai down to beach huts and Tim visited the giant waterpark near Berlin. Really enjoyed today.
The Wuppertaler Schwebebahn (English: Wuppertal Suspension Railway) is a suspension railway in Wuppertal, North Rhine-Westfalia. The line was originally called the German: Einschienige Hängebahn System Eugen Langen (English: Eugen Langen Monorail Overhead Conveyor System) named for its inventor, Eugen Langen. It is the oldest electric elevated railway with hanging cars in the world and is a unique system in Germany. The Wuppertal Suspension Railway is a major part of the cities traffic infrastructure and the backbone of the east-west axis trough the Wupper Valley. The Schwebebahn runs along a route of 13.3 kilometres (8.3 mi), at a height of about 12 metres (39 ft) above the river Wupper between Oberbarmen (East end) and Sonnborner Straße (10 kilometres or 6.2 miles) and about 8 metres (26 ft) above the valley road between Sonnborner Straße and Vohwinkel (West end; 3.3 kilometres or 2.1 miles). It is more than 120 years old and one of the safest vehicles in the world. It had only three major accidents in all these years. The worst one was in 1999: The line's first and only fatal accident occurred close to Robert-Daum-Platz station during maintenance work in the early morning hours of 12 April 1999. Workers had forgotten to remove a metal claw from the track on completion of scheduled night work. The first eastbound train of the day hit the claw at a speed of around 50 km/h (31 mph), derailed, and fell about 10 metres (33 ft) into the river Wupper, killing five passengers and injuring 47, some seriously. Usually Spaghetti Ice cream is made from vanilla ice cream with strawberry sauce and white chocolate as Parmesan cheese. This one seems to be made from Pistachios or something else.
A lot of technical information. Might be even a bit too much, but for people interested in this: Great stuff! Also the "lego bridge" is in Wuppertal too!
This Lego-like bridge is in Wuppertal. That city with the Suspension Railway. AND... there is a second bridge like this in this city since a few years!
this fairytale bridge 'Rakotzbruecke' or 'Teufelsbruecke' ('Devil bridge') is in the state of Sachsen/Saxony. It was also used for different movies - for instance 'Matrix Resurrections' (in a Morpheus fighting scene). Apropos: the 'School Castle' of the German show 'Maxton Hall' (which became now a global hit - most successful international movie start in Amazon Prime history - started with being Nr. 1 in 120 countries in the first week) is the Gothic Marienburg Castle near Hannover (state of Niedersachsen/Lower Saxony (apropos: 'Nieder' is a cognate of the Dutch 'Nether' like in 'Netherlands' and also means 'lower lands') .... Maxton Hall is a enemy-to-love/coming-of-age story but in a more classic Fairytale story (means more minimal, focus on the main story and lead chars, no overly complicated side stories, cliches/tropes are not avoided but celebrated - but are not flat/cheesy to to the straight forward narrative and good actors/composition) ... you could react on that! show ;)
08:00 there are only about 7 or 8 suspension railways in service worldwide, 4 in Germany and 3-4 in Japan, the ones in Wuppertal and Dresden are the oldest with over 110 years of service, each. ^^
Normally the Spaghetti is made from vanilla ice cream and topped with strawberry sauce - it look much more realistic …. and tastes sooooo ggooooood!!! 😋😍 I have never seen a green spaghetti variant before. But there is also green pasta - so why not? I would be interested in the taste. Possibly peppermint? 🤔
the cherry blossoms are not everywhere bute also not just in one place. the picture shows Bonn, but I live in Berlin and we have a lot of cherry blossomed streets here as well. and yeah, the aquarium broke one and a half years ago. also, the electric highway thing isn't catching on. the graveyard can rack is typical german because... who tf LOCKS watering cans? why not just share? spaghetti ice is the best thing to eat, ever. 99% of the time it's vanilla icecream mixed with frozen whipped cream, strawberry sauce (for the bolo) and white chocolate sprinkles (for the parm). this picture is misleading. we don't eat green spaghetti.
Town twinning between Wiesbaden and other cities began with Klagenfurt in 1930, one of the first town-twinnings in Germany. Wiesbaden is twinned with: Royal Tunbridge Wells, England, United Kingdom (1989).
One ice cream parlor in my city used to make a concoction called "Tartufo" ice cream -- 2-3 scoops of chocolate ice cream shaped by hand into a large ball, press a hole into it with your thumb, fill the space with cassis liqueur, stopper it with more ice cream and then roll the whole thing in chocolate sprinkles. Then serve with whipped cream and maraschino cherries. Buon appetito! 🙂
Great Video, Dankeschön! By the way… yes, you would enjoy an ice cream like that. Pick your favorite taste (usually it’s made with vanilla ice cream due to the color), mince it or press it through a perforated tray or mashing “thing” and the “spaghetti” shape is already in front of your eyes. Some strawberry sauce on top(or at the side, sprinkle some white chocolate or coconut over it - done! Just don’t heat it. That will be done with body heat. You practically could create an American flag with a little food coloring and a stencil (don’t forget to count the stars though). Everybody could serve their friend or spouse something individual. A heart shaped portion for dessert on a plate with a few words along with it:”You make my heart melt!” or whatever everyone comes up with.
Love Germany! (As a Brit I could be lynched in the town square for saying it lol) Such a beautiful country its a shame they suck at football...mwahaha! x
You're right, we do suck at Fußball. Hard to believe that anyone could be worse. Then again there's England, although still better than the Dutch. And now excuse me please, I have to change my name and fly under the radar for the rest of my life. ;-)
The Cherry Blossoms are located in Bonn which is south of cologne at the Rhine River. Bonn was the former Capital of Germany. Almost the hole „Altstadt“ Oldtown has these Trees. People from all over the world come to see the Cherry blossoms, especially Asians. Is‘s so beautiful, and I am so happy that I lived 10 years in Bonn, an now since 10 years 20 minutes away. So we almost see every year the cherry blossoms 🌸☺️😍
In Hamburg, the Japanese cherry blossom festival takes place once a year and is sponsored by the Japanese community. To mark this day, a magnificent fireworks display takes place over the Aussen-Alster (a large lake in the center of Hamburg).
The Neustadt Kunsthofpassage is in Dresden, can be entered from Alaunstrasse or Görlitzer Strasse. There are other walls with different kinds of art as well. 😁
The name of the circus is: Zirkus Roncalli and it is from Cologne/Köln Germany. This or last year it was in New York! The Cathedral was in Köln/Cologne too! The Aquarium is broken. In Germany you must learn 3 years, practical and theoretical, for a craftjob like carpenter, electric or waterinstallions.
About Graveyard racks. Germans Love to Care about their Graves nearly all of them with flowers or small bushes. The Problem was the supplied watering cans were often stolen. The racks were installed so you could Bring your own can and Lock them to the Rack when leaving.
Hello Yes it is true, the aquarium burst and caused major damage. The lobby of the hotel where it was located was completely devastated and when the water flowed out of the building it also damaged other building
Hi Debbie, hi Natasha, Greetings from Berlin! Another great video. I'm glad you enjoy our snacks. We Germans get enough exercise to compensate for the good food. The burst aquarium was the AquaDom in my city, Berlin, and it will not be rebuilt. I'm looking forward to when you visit Germany. Best regards, Marco❤🇩🇪🇺🇸
@@TheNatashaDebbieShow You can make it yourself ... all you need is vanilla ice cream + a hand press with spaghetti-diameter holes ... and some strawberry sauce. Then it is up to your "artistic skill" to arrange it AND some experimentation to get the temperature right for pressing the ice cream (before it becomes liquid) ... cooling the hand press a bit might be a necessary precaution.
I dont know why but natasha looks kinda familiar The Cherryblossom trees looks like it was taken in Bonn in North Reihn Westphalia the Hotspots: Heerstraße, Breite Straße, Friedrichstraße (straße means Street)
Omg Spaghetti-Eis , take me back to Germany… my absolute favourite 😋 the wheelchair swings are in play parks in England, not everywhere granted, but more and more in new built parks.
Haven't done any German since school (50 years ago,) but the main things I still remember about German pronunciation are: 1) when you see 'ie' in a word, it's pronounced 'ee', but 'ei' in a word is pronounce 'eye'. 2) The letter 'u' is normally pronounced as a 'short' u (as in bucket,) but when it has an umlaut accent over it (ü) it lengthens the sound to 'oo', (but as I remember, 'oo' said through semi-pursed lips!) 3) There's a whole new character called the Eszett (or the 'scharfes S', i.e. 'sharp s'.) This appears as ß and is often misread as a B, but its actually the combination of a 's' and a 'z' and is used where in English, you might find a double 's' as in 'Straße' (pronounced Strasser or Strar-ser').
@Gesellenstück In Germany we have the dual training system. Technical training takes place in companies, while theory is taught at vocational schools. Apprentice: A person who completes an apprenticeship in a company. The training usually lasts 2-3.5 years. The final exam consists of submitting a journeyman's piece where you show what you have learned. Journeyman: A person who has successfully completed their training and passed the journeyman's exam. Master: A person who has passed the master's exam. The master's title is the highest professional qualification in Germany and entitles you to run a company independently and train apprentices. You are added to the list of masters in the relevant chambers of commerce. In Germany there are currently 324 recognized apprenticeships in various areas such as industry and crafts, public service, home economics, agriculture, shipping and the liberal professions.
German graves are usually have plants that the relatives take care of. So, in summers, one really needs to water them regularly. Instead of having to remember to bring a watering ca, you can simply leave it there for your next visit.
I've been to the graveyard with my grandma a lot when I was a kid 30 years ago. But... the watering cans were just hanging there for everyone. Did that change?
@@Larilafari many graveyards have public watering cans still. However, they often have holes in them etc., because - unfortunately - no one takes care of communal property as they do with their own. So, I guess, in many graveyards, people like to keep their own and to avoid having others use theirs without having to take it home and back there again, they opt to lock them in place…
As a child we had an icecream place that would make pizza ice. Vanilla icecream spread on a plate as dough , strawberry sauce as tomato sauce, different fruits as toppings and grated white chocolate as cheese. back than for 5 mark xD ahh the good old times xD
I am an Elvis Presley fan I have every movie he did my favourite is blue Hawaii. When my brother was in the air force he was stationed in Germany and brought back a piece of Berlin wall for my mum. The ice cream might be mint flavored yum yum looks lovely. Loved Germany vidio. Love from uk. Xx

Coloured pasta, yes. But NEVER green Spagetti ice!
@@Peter_Cetera Why not? I would try it
@@dennishonecker5960 Only because it looks strange... I don´t eat green pasta as well...
@@Peter_Cetera Durum wheat semolina and maybe eggs too are supposed to be in pasta.
But Spaghetti ice? Just choose. I haven't tried the green version yet but I think that could be really nice. Instead of vanilla
pistachio sounds really good to me. Don't be afraid of colors😉Who knows how my life would change if I wouldn't hate pink. Arg, no I don't wanna know 😅
We’re flying out to Germany for the euros see ya soon beautiful German people . Cheers 🥃🇩🇪🥳
is this scotish? meet you on friday, dont miss the game if you visit a beergarden prior to that ;) afterwards for you or me will have to... ok, there's a reason then anyway.
Welcome, a good time.🥰
so how was munich? i was shopping between stachus and marienplatz at noon the day of the opening match and the scottish were in a really good mood (and probably a bit drunk since they all drank atleast one maß) appreciated you being there i had a good time with most of you
I agree, the Spaghetti Ice looks a bit odd. Usualy you make it from Vanilla Icecream, on top you pour Strawberry sauce instead of whole Strawberries and garnish it with white chocolate shavings. Yummie
Ladies that Wheelchair swing. Is the best thing I've seen for years. Well done 👍 Germany 🇩🇪.
I actually think that's the best thing I've seen, for ages. Well done Germany 🇩🇪.👍🙏❤️🇺🇸🇬🇧🇩🇪🇩🇪🏴
Peter from Germany: Dear ladies, I'm happy that you like Germany so much. But I have to tell you that our neighboring countries are no less resourceful. Every country has its peculiarities. Please come to Europe for a longer period of time and see for yourself.
I agree with Debbie about ice cream! I’ve been to Germany and there are plenty of interesting things to see. Keep up the interesting shows.
great video, interesting to watch. Germany is so cool.😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Didn't they build it better
The cherry blossoms are in Bonn. It is stunning!!!❤
Germany, you are amazing!! ❤ 'd everything in this video. 😘
The wheelchair swing 😊 now that was ace

Great video lovely ladies , they have some very smart ideas over there , love the motorway one for emergency vehicles 😀😀 xx
It’s mandatory to do it…if you’re found to be blocking the passage of an emergency vehicle in a traffic jam, you’ll find you have to pay a hefty fine
This is a different idea .. l enjoyed it Germany 🇩🇪 has a lot of cool stuff .
the ice cream is "green" because the plate is green and the lighting is strange
normaly the "classic" version of this ice is:
Vanilla ice as "noodles"
Strawberry sauce as "tomato sauce"
and white chokolate as "parmesan"
but there are many iterations of this ^^
I wouldn't be to sure about the "green 'cause green plate" thing , there is a Waldmeister-Spaghetti-Eis-Version. ^^
@@BR618 Oh well, you are right, could also be that, just looked like a weird lighting to me
Some German ice-cafes also offer ice cream looking like a Pizza or ice cream looking like a curry-sausage with fries.
@@BR618 I hope its woodruff. I need it!
Love your Germany reactions!
Thank you Peter!
You have to react to a video about the water park! You will love it

We have multi coloured pasta not so spaghetti but green is usually spinach flavour and red can be tomato or beetroot.
Hey im german and i was like wtf thsts not normal
I assune the graveyard does not has alot of founds and thats why people bring their own?
It´s absolutely not common, that everyone has it´s own can. People even use ones from others, but then they put them back.
The same in Finland.
about the graveyard thing. in germany, differently from most english influence countrys, graves are often decoratet with flowers all year around.
The cherry blossoms are located in Bonn.
And the aquarium in Berlin is broken, yes.

How could you leave out the Elephant…shame on you! Your Wuppertal card just got revoked! 😂

Maxton Hall is a enemy-to-love/coming-of-age story but in a more classic Fairytale story (means more minimal, focus on the main story and lead chars, no overly complicated side stories, cliches/tropes are not avoided but celebrated - but are not flat/cheesy to to the straight forward narrative and good actors/composition) ... you could react on that! show ;)
The cherry blossom street is in Bonn, our former capital. Bonn is in the western part of Germany, near to Cologne, in Northrhinewestphalia.
08:00 there are only about 7 or 8 suspension railways in service worldwide, 4 in Germany and 3-4 in Japan, the ones in Wuppertal and Dresden are the oldest with over 110 years of service, each. ^^

spaghetti ice is the best thing to eat, ever. 99% of the time it's vanilla icecream mixed with frozen whipped cream, strawberry sauce (for the bolo) and white chocolate sprinkles (for the parm). this picture is misleading. we don't eat green spaghetti.

Haven't done any German since school (50 years ago,) but the main things I still remember about German pronunciation are:
1) when you see 'ie' in a word, it's pronounced 'ee', but 'ei' in a word is pronounce 'eye'.
2) The letter 'u' is normally pronounced as a 'short' u (as in bucket,) but when it has an umlaut accent over it (ü) it lengthens the sound to 'oo', (but as I remember, 'oo' said through semi-pursed lips!)
3) There's a whole new character called the Eszett (or the 'scharfes S', i.e. 'sharp s'.) This appears as ß and is often misread as a B, but its actually the combination of a 's' and a 'z' and is used where in English, you might find a double 's' as in 'Straße' (pronounced Strasser or Strar-ser').
Your "Stück" was on point. 100% Wooow. Ü is the one "Umlaut" nearly no American can pronounce. Kudos.👏👏👏
Yay!! Thank you!!

In Germany we have the dual training system.
