Brilliant video! I love it. The price is not looking good now I also adding a lump sum to some etf's performing poorly, This past week has been slaughtering me, at this point I'm worn out worrying about the right etf's to buy.
DCA, get you cost per share lower….add more money to it while it’s in the red….its on sale. For the last few years after a company does a stock split, it usually goes down, Personally I put down 1.5m$ on few ETFs, still diversifying. it was this time last year I made my first huge break through with a liquid 200k. handed it to a trader here in FL, I get weekly pay out which I put back on long term ETF's. TSLY just filled a gap with this latest drop. I think it will start the assent now.
"yeah tsla i noticed that. good call. i think its going to move upward as well. there is a much lower gap that hasnt been filled yet also." can you share this Pro with me
Hey Ziet. Currently we are seeing a slight strengthening of the ringgit and a big reasoning behind this being the rumours that the US are going to cut their interest rates. I have two questions. 1) What does it actually mean when a country like America cuts their interest rates and how does it affect them? 2) How will this affect investors such as me who have been investing in the S&P500 for a long period of time. Granted I’m aware that there are highs and lows in everything and my strategy remains to just be consistent and to wave through the storm no matter what but just curious how it will actually affect our portfolios. Would love if you can make a video regarding this. As always, thanks for creating such amazing content.
Another great video although 10min is too short for me 😅. Ann idea, why don't you share your portfolio and share tips of how you approach things, you can share it in a % if not comfortable sharing numbers, just an idea I think it will be a great video. Kepp it up 🎉
Hi Zeit, thank you for your informative videos, really useful. With the faltering US stock market, especially in the tech space, could you perhaps do a video on the AI/Tech bubble and market correction? Should we be buying the dip or is the bubble bound to burst Would like to get your perspective on this 😊 Thanks!
Both are viable options, CSPX if each invested amount is larger, VOO if lower - as the dividend savings from the lower WHT (with CSPX) is only significant at larger invested amount
Thanks for the great video. Stamp duty for US fractional shares / ETFs is RM1 for every RM1000 transaction amount, there is no stamp duty if < RM1000 transaction amount?
Still got! Excerpt from Bursa below: "For “shares or stock” - the stamp duty is RM1.00 for every RM1,000 (or fractional part) of the transaction value of securities (payable by both buyer and seller). The stamp duty shall be remitted to the maximum of RM1,000" www.bursamalaysia.com/trade/trading_resources/equities/transaction_costs
Hi Ziet. Your video has been helpful for a beginner like me. Can I ask, is it safe for us Malaysians to use interactive brokers since its not officially launched here? If you make a video on it would be great. Thank you and keep up the good work
Thank you brother! To answer your question, it is not 100% risk-free for sure, but same goes to any other regulated/licensed broker, every financial platforms come with its own set of risk. My conviction with IBKR comes with their background as a publicly listed market (>80bil+ USD market cap) in the US, plus they are licensed and regulated in all the largest economies out there (US, EU, SG etc.) Perhaps you can check out lowyat forumers' review of the platform and read more into what you're getting yourself into! Hope this clarifies!
Hey Zeit, Yours are probably the most informative videos on investing. Way to go Zeit! I have been looking for information on investment as I want to invest some money. What advice would you give it to someone who has a horizon of 15 to 18 years, non US tax resident who wants to invest $200K in diversified ETFs. Thank you
Hey there, thanks a lot for the kind words! 😊 For a long-term horizon like 15-18 years, diversified ETFs are a great choice, maybe global ETFs that include a mix of stocks across different regions, sectors, and asset classes. Otherwise, this video might just be what you're looking for!: th-cam.com/video/7cIhL9VQnDI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=sVrgflYoIwpjgtac Hope this helps!
Hi ziet, love your videos. What are your views on currency risk for someone investing outside the US? E.g. a malaysian investor who earns and spends in the malaysian ringgit. I’m from Hong Kong , so my home country is pegged to the US dollar. But interested to know your views on the above.
Hi there! Currency risk is definitely something to consider when investing outside of our home currency. For Malaysians like myself, fluctuations in the USD-MYR exchange rate could impact returns but its not my top priotity. If the Ringgit weakens, my USD investments could be worth more in MYR, and vice versa. Since you're from HK, with the HKD pegged to USD, your exposure to currency risk is lower when investing in US assets. But for Malaysians, it's always a good idea for us to diversify ourself from not being 100%-MYR asset
If there is enough demand i suppose, but at this moment I dont think there is enough demand for them to subscribe/open up the path to LSE/european exchanges (eventually maybe, but that will require a little bit of patience from us!)
Hi.. Thank you for your videos.. I am an Indian citizen residing in united arab Emirates. Can i trade in us markets using interactive broker... Please give your suggestion.. Thank you🥰🥰
Yes, as an Indian citizen residing in the UAE, you can definitely trade in the U.S. markets using Interactive Brokers (IBKR). It’s a great platform for global access, including U.S. stocks and ETFs. Happy trading!

Personally, which one do you prefer? Accumulating One such as CSPX, or distributing one such as VOO ?

Hey Ziet, do you think BRK.B can replace the S&P 500 index fund?
Hi Ziet, can we buy one stock per month? We buy at diff price every month... reasoning behind :can only afford to buy 1 stock of sp 500 a month
Can, you can even buy fractional shares (less than 1 full share)!

Will MooMoo ever bring on LSE
I asked MooMoo personally. They are working on it. Hopefully the trading fees will be cheaper than IBKR
