I got caught in a cycle of continuously buying various plugins, but eventually realized that most of them were one-trick ponies, or they were lacking in some other aspects. Now I really only use stock plugins, Fabfilter, Cableguys Shaperbox bundle, and Izotope RX 7. I do use some different reverbs from time to time though. But if you spend the time to learn how to use the fabfilter plugins, you can do anything with audio I think.
Hey Nathan. Good call for sure. It's easy to get lost in plugin materialism and buy software you don't need. I find that the FabFilter bundle is so useful and versatile for mixing that they can do most of what I need. Happy music making!
