    Another tip is to put your spotter ships on do not engage and they will not get themselves into a fight as soon as they spot something they will just follow a fleet around until your strike force gets there.

      Good idea! Another sneaky way (that I don’t approve as it feels broken) is to use submarines on always engage, then they will bind enemy large fleets without any anti-submarine capability

      Mining fleets should also be on do not engage. This makes the trait Craven useful, because an craven admiral who gets into a fight anyway will run away faster.

    Cruiser submarines are imo superior to CLs in spotting, if you can access them. While not as capable of max spotting, they will almost never be found and sunk, unlike cruisers. It's also worth licencing them from someone who can make them, France, Germany, Japan etc

    Incredible TH-cam channel for HOI4 in depth explanations. Now, I won't say I truly understand Navy, but sinking the Royal Navy as Germany with a surface fleet of roughly 45-50 ship, make me feel that I definitly understood something.

    Can we get a navy Japan build video? Like the types of fleet setup you need and how you deploy and use each type properly ?

      I’ve been playing around with navy quite a bit lately as Japan. Honestly there is no one size fits all navy build it’s how you counter what your enemy is doing that counts. Let’s say you are fighting a us navy with a bunch of carriers. You will need quite a bit of AA to be successful. But if the enemy fleet is using all battleships and destroyers as screens, you wouldn’t need as much AA you would need more light attack to kill off the destroyer screens in order to get to the battleships. Preferable light cruisers with substantial light attack capabilities and some armor so that the destroyers can’t pierce them. I find that a battleship group with a good amount of light cruisers with a balanced loadout of both light attack and AA is the best. That way you can defend against air attacks from carriers but still do a good amount of damage to the enemy screens in order to be able to reach through and hit the big ships. Also include several dedicated torpedo destroyers so that once the screen starts to fail they can hit the larger ships hard with torpedoes and finish them off quickly. Navy is one of my favorite aspects of this game. It has quite possibly the deepest mechanics in HOI4 IMO. If you throw in all of the admiral traits and stats on top of this you can do some crazy stuff. I like to use the lancer trait on my admirals and stack that it the close quarters navy spirit and the long lance torpedo focus to get a near 50% torpedo green penetration stat on my submarines. You can sink random American carriers and battleships with a single submarine with that setup as Japan and after a while you just start whittling away the American navy to the point that there isn’t anything left. Fun times.

      Yeah maybe! That’s a good idea:) I do have this one I made before as a navy build discussion for a MP game: HOI4 - How to Navy | With Badger & TheRealBoppus

      Hey mate! Thanks a lot! If you use the micro advise I came with here, and then just build a lot of Battleships with enough screens you’re good (and make sure to have all research and doctrines)

    Im more interested in knowing how many ships you need on spotting. I usually go for 6 fast destroyers, but maybe already 3 is enough>?

      Hey mate! Sorry for a late reply. I like to use 1 really quick LC filled with seaplanes and 1 really crappy gun. (And some other modules ofc, but you get the point) then that alone LC spots stuff super quick, for the strike force

    Very interesting is the fact that aviation on the aircraft carrier can operate with maximum efficiency in the entire maritime area regardless of the aircraft's range. I want to ask if it is true that for the destruction of submarines a carrier cas is better than a carrier nav? Thank you 👍

    Could you make a video covering naval patrol, specifically heavy naval patrol airframes, since when I use them they seem useful but I'm not certain if that is true

    • @Nszeiner
      @Nszeiner 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The naval patrol command for airplanes doesn’t engage enemy ships. Only spots them for a strike force. So instead of sending a bunch of random destroyers or cruisers to their death in a small group you have airframes with high mission efficiency due to their range as spotters and then your strike force can attack based on the info received from the patrol airframes.

      You can use your carrier fighters for this from land. Just unembark them to an airfield and click on the 'this specific type only' for that airwing thus it won't go above 10 unless you are still producing them. Hence your old interwar fighters have a use.

    Regarding upgrading ships, is there a way to quickly assign all harbors being used to build ships to upgrade ships you put in your queue?

    • @hyggegaming
      @hyggegaming  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hey mate! Kind of. You have to put your current productions on 1 dockyard per ship and then the rest will be assigned to upgrades if you que them up

    • @Uberskull
      @Uberskull 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@hyggegaming That seems kind of annoying to do every time you want to upgrade ships, though. I wish you could assign harbors for upgrade duty like you can do with repairs.

      Control click on a port removes it from the repair list. Not sure whether this disables upgrades as well.

    • @hyggegaming

      You can outmanouver a death-stack build with a raiding build :) Fx, if UK only focuses on that, It's really easy to raid them down until they run out of everythng :)
