As a coaster enthusiast I will say it is 100% not contrarian to rank this so high. What’s even better than any other world class RMC is that you can marathon this with little to zero wait between rides. That’s just unheard of for a ride this incredible! Have to add, I don’t think your notions of coaster enthusiasts is very accurate. B&M is BELOVED by most enthusiasts. There are outliers in all fan groups for sure, but the consensus is that B&M coasters are some of the best out there. Montu, Fury 325, any of their hypers, and more are really popular among enthusiasts.
@@PoseidonEntertainment Thats not the only moment of whip though… If you got on here and said Arie has more airtime… yes it does.. if you want to say you enjoy the hangtime on its stall… its a top 3 hangtime stall in the US. If you feel like Arie is a more complete ride with a full filling ending… youd be right… But whip? Seems like a misdiagnosed issue to me if you got off Iron Gwazi and thought “wow that needed less airtime and positives and more whip”
I would describe this place as a 1970's park that reached 50 years into the future and grabbed Aries Force One and took it back with them. Their other adult coaster is so rough it almost crippled both me and my friend.
@@PoseidonEntertainment I guess that's my point., When it opened in the 1990's the rides were at that time still from the 70's. How would I know ? I am a child from the 70's, I was there.
I've been on all but 2 currently active RMCs around the world, and I rank ArieForce One in the top tier. The only downside to ArieForce One is the final brake run that is painful on the shins. My favorite RMCs: Hakugei, Steel Vengeance, Zadra, Railblazer
Nearly every employee I spoke to at Fun Spot Atlanta has told me that they have been rather surprised at how many people have traveled from out-of-town just to ride ArieForce One! 😅
It's crazy how a 154ft coaster can give Steel Vengeance a run for its money! ArieForce One is a top 5 coaster for sure! Great job RMC! We'll see how it works out for the future of Fun Spot Atlanta.
I love the fact that this popped up on my feed, lmfao. I got broken up with on that ferris wheel when I was like 17 and I’ve never gone back there despite living a couple minutes from the park.
As a former georgia native that grew up there i had never gone to the park until af1 opening day. There wasn’t any need to because even six flags was that much nicer which is a low bar. That being said af1 is a world class ride and I have been back a few times, but it really does feel out of place.
It just sounds to me more like you particularly enjoy ejector airtime and whippy inversions. That's fine, but it's just a style and doesn't make any one ride better or worse than others that might be full of floater airtime or steep dives or more near-miss elements, strong theming, or terrain interaction. They're just... different, and obviously people can enjoy different aspects of different rides. I specifically take issue with calling floater airtime hills forceless; that's exactly the point, you can enjoy weightlessness.
I think it depends on the restraint, but usually, I don't find floating very fun. I do like it on B&M hypers/gigas with the clamshells, but the first two inversions of Velocicoaster don't even feel like inversions.
I worked at this park during its 2011-2012 season when it was DixieLand and it was abysmal even then. The staff were all basically high schoolers, burnouts, or related to the owners of the park. Some wild times were had.
Me and my brother have very fond memories of playing Laser Tag here in the early 2000s. They also had some FANTASTIC mini-golf courses they got rid of for the coaster. Also, the go-karts (especially the wet track) introduced me to racing and my love for it. Grew up just 30 minutes from this park and it was a lot closer than Six Flags. Have yet to go on Aerie Force One but I definitely want to try it!
I have to disagree on this one. Personal preference for coasters don't line up here. Still a great video though and it was interesting to see your point of view!
This ride is extraordinarily powerful, and truly belongs in everyone's top collection, but I personally found it to be a bit too much... I got ten rides on July 4th, 2023, a day that was super hot and humid. I closed my eyes on the quad-down in the back row, and the last step down whipped me so hard I got motion sickness (very few coasters do this to me). That was ride number 7, and I still got 3 more after that, but I did so reluctantly. Perhaps if I got rides during a more temperate time of year, like fall or spring, I would like it more. I personally prefer Wildcat's Revenge, and I prefer it by a significant margin. I prefer the thick twister layout to the dull L-shaped layout, I prefer Wildcat's wider variety of forces (laterals aren't too heavy on Arie), and I also found Wildcat to be a bit more creative. I can't possibly imagine how RMC could have done Wildcat better, given the footprint that ride has- it's the only RMC coaster to both heavily deviate from the base coaster's layout, AND add track length to it.
This is actually how I feel about storm chaser at Kentucky kingdom. The way it is paced and is at a slightly slower speed than other rmcs really lets you enjoy the elements. I prefer it to gwazi for sure
Talking about what you like in coasters, Montu has a good mix of positive G-force moments. RMC’s layout designer for that first decade or so Alan Schilke said many times in interviews he purposely stays away from designing rides with strong positive G’s. He’s since retired and Arie Force one (along with Wildcat’s Revenge) have a new layout designer Joe Draves. The deferent layout designer may be a large contributing factor to why you like Arie Force One more. RMC’s stray away from positive G’s is what keeps them out of my absolute favorite rides. I like the mix of forces and pacing that some of the other manufacturers provide as well! The funny thing about this is that same guy who designed Goliath, Twisted Colossus, & Iron Gwazi’s layout also designed X2’s layout!
I didn't realize Schilke was designing RMCs, I just kind of assumed he dropped off after Arrow collapsed. That makes sense though with how you can see how different his RMCs are from the newer ones.
@@PoseidonEntertainment yeah he stayed busy! After Arrow he worked for S&S, he engineered the layout for their modern Air Launch coasters, four wooden coasters, the free spins you see all over the six flags parks and then some! For RMC, he did all of them from the beginning through Iron Gwazi! With Joe Draves taking over RMC layouts after Schilke’s retirement.
@@jricedrums Ahh, it makes sense that he has a connection to the free spins. I tried The Joker at Great America expecting to hate the unpredictable spinning. I actually came off liking it a lot more than I expected, but then went and rode X2 a few months later. I know that X2 isn't free spinning, but I did like The Joker much better
first person ive ever heard say the death roll is forceless. pretty sure its unanimously considered one of the best inversions for its whip and airtime
The fact this coaster is at Fun Spot and not Over Georgia still boggles my mind, but luckily atleast there are two RMCs less than an hour from my home :)
While I don’t rank Arie Force One over the hyper RMCs, I basically describe it as an all-star team of elements. Each element is basically the best version of that element and is an unbelievably great ride for what it is!
I love the RMC coasters. Steel Vengeance at Cedar Point is there #1 coaster. I rode it too many times and I still don't what is coming. Steel Vengeance is damn near perfect. ArieForce One just looks ok.
Making a road trip during Christmas that passes through Atlanta and I demanded I be dropped off here for an hour just so I can ride it two or three times and then bounce.
I have not been on ArieForce One, but Iron Gwazi is my current favorite roller coaster. I don’t doubt that ArieForce One could be better, but we all have different experiences on rides. I definitely feel much more power on VelociCoaster’s launches and whippiness on Iron Gwazi’s death roll than you do, so the differences in opinions definitely extend beyond just personal preferences, even though those play a role.
@@PoseidonEntertainment I mean we genuinely feel the forces differently. My example was that I find VelociCoaster’s launches powerful and Iron Gwazi’s death roll whippy, and you did not. We both rode the same ride but came off having had different experiences, and even if my preferences perfectly aligned with yours, it wouldn’t change the fact that I found those elements powerful and whippy. I was just acknowledging the interesting fact that we all have different experiences on the same rides.
I don't find it better than Iron Qwazi. Iron Qwazi is just such a fun gem that had me smiling the whole time in the front row. That said, ArieForce was fantastic. Compact but with a lot of variety. I actually enjoyed it more than Steel Vengeance if you include the obnoxious process of riding SV. Seriously, SV staff are more rude than any TSA agent I've encountered at an airport. The one way I'd improve the ride is the ending. The quad down is receptive and uncomfortable. It reminds me of Lightning Run's ending. I feel fewer but larger & sustained ejector hills would have been better. Like two large sustained ejector hills back to back. Or something like the double barrel roll final on Outlaw Run.
That last segment does seem to be a "love it or hate it" kind of element. If I had gotten repeat ride-throughs it might have become painful, but on first impression, I did like how excessive it was.
Thats fair. X2 is not for everyone. I just love the out of control feeling it has. Its intensity and uniqueness is also unparalleled to anything ive ridden. Also YESSSS Twisted Colossus is awesome. Ive gotten a dueling night ride and it was so good. Those two will always have a special place for me. Since twisted colossus got me into loving coasters. And X2 killed any fear i had of coasters. Im always gonna love both of them. Also montu being your favorite ride at BGT is super based. Another great ride! Also, i will say. If you dont think iron gwazi is super intense. Then youd probably wont be super excited by Steel Vengeance since its inversions also arent that whippy. I strongly reccomend Outlaw Run at Silver Dollar City. That final inversion is super whippy and i think youll love its terrain setting. Great video!!!
The issue I had with TC is that it didn't duel when I was there. The park was a ghost town and I'm not sure if they could have even dispatched the second train in time with how slow they were moving. Otherwise though, yeah it was my #1 until AF.
Honestly the way I stand on most rollers coasters now is that while I do like all the forces and excitement that comes from them, I honestly think most are kinda bland and boring because they don’t have really any theming whatsoever, any storyline is usually vague and doesn’t really impact what the actual ride experience has, etc. I understand it’s not like you can build a giant mountain on top of silver bullet at knott’s and turn it into like a journey to the center of the earth ride, and I also understand that the goal of most roller coasters is to be thrilling, but I would personally appreciate roller coasters with little to no theming far more if at least some more theming than roller coaster track and carts with some vague storyline was added in, like say adding some small but definitely interesting mine shaft elements on ghost rider with some mine carts off to the side of the track and maybe some rock work, yeah it’s not much sure but it’s better than just roller coaster track and carts lightly themed.
For a family park, I love FunSpot. The karts are good, the bumper cars and bumper boats are fun. It has a little bit for everybody and you not walking your legs and feet off all day.
It sounds like Poseidon enjoys feeling like he is going to go flying out of his seat. As Peppy Hare says, "Do a Barrel Roll..." While I haven't been on Arie, I would have thought that Velocicoaster's final long barrel roll would have appealed more to Poseidon...it makes me grab my seat thinking I'm headed for a swim in the lagoon.
See, my tastes align with yours heavily. Not because I find negative G's uninteresting, but because they scare the absolute shit out of me lol. Give me The Hulk all day, I wanna be pushed back into my seat. Makes me feel safe lol.
Your taste in coasters is... strange. Airieforce One is in my top ten. But your view on Velocicoaster, Iron Gwazi and Mako is baffling. I guess everyone has different tastes. I just don't understand what you do and don't like after watching this video? You sometimes like ejector, sometimes you don't? Sometimes you like positive Gs but sometimes you don't? Floater is a bad thing? Being whippy is sometimes good and sometimes bad? I am so confused.
I wonder if while you were in Atlanta you had a chance to pass by Stone Mountain. Now there's a one that's problematic almost as a statement of purpose, but when I visited it, I was surprised at how elaborate it actually was. I was initially just curious about the physical aspects of the carving but going up on the cable car to the top made me realize just how much more there is to the park. Aside from going up and down the mountain, they had a dinosaur display, a jungle type facility for kids, a dedicated train that circles the mountain, a geological museum that explains the creation of the mountain and even had a 4D theater and a lot of seasonal attractions. That's not to mention the themed restaurants and walk through displays. There's also a separate area with an antique village made up of transplanted period specific houses set up as museum displays. There were no huge rides, but the theming was fairly consistent and the whole park seems to go out of their way to be inclusive (like if it would help). I was left curiously ambivalent as to what to think about it.
I've been there a few times when I was a young kid, but I only really remember it being purely historical and not glorifying the Confederacy. I'd be curious to go back, because I do remember there being some themed areas, but I probably wouldn't make a video on it because I think it would draw too much negative commentary.
@@PoseidonEntertainment Probably a good idea (not to make a video). It's kind of sad, it's a nice family park, but there's no way to reconcile it's problematic aspects.
There's one other benefit to Fun Spot Atlanta, and that's if you are a fan of the Cobra Kai series, as there were a few episodes that feature the park.
Must respectfully disagree with you about VelociCoaster. I finally got to ride it last August twice, first time in back then very front row, and I loved it. So much fun!!
@@PoseidonEntertainment I was talking with a Universal cast member in that dual level Jurassic Park gift shop area shortly after getting off the coaster and he said, “Disney scares the kids. We scare the adults!” Lol.
I paid for 2 rides on this coaster and they let me ride it pretty much back to back, including the last ride of the night. Rode it at twilight and into the night. It was Amazing! It's worth the visit just to get on this ride
Also, petition for Fun Spot to buy out Castles 'N' Coasters here in Phoenix and buy out the dead mall that it shares a parking lot with to build a new RMC.
I would like to take a road trip to Atlanta from Ohio to ride this. I want to see how it compares to my #1 coaster Steel Vengeance. The only other RMC I have been on is Lightning Rod with the launch. I found it to be a little underwelming. Thunderhead is my favorite coaster at Dollywood.
Af1 is incredible and #2 on my rankings but to say Gwazi is uninteresting is diabolical! No whip and no ejector? Not sure which Gwazi you got on 😅 but I agree with you on velocicoaster as being less interesting. Which I know is also a hot take.
@@PoseidonEntertainment but you have to take the cinder blocks out of your pockets before getting on the ride 😅😅 j/k I respect your experience yet I ride it weekly and it never fails to throw me around. Anyway, huge fan of your work, keep it up brother 🙏🏾🙏🏾
I love how I see people say I got 15 rides on ArieForce and it was to much, I got 20, blah blah blah! I got 37 in my first visit which I will admit, rookie numbers, but I got 67 on my 2nd visit!
After riding Iron Gwazi, I find it to be a little **too** chaotic for me. It's super fun, sure, but I feel like I might die no less than 3 times. Now I do find Velocicoaster very good, but mostly because my primary desire in theme parks is... well... theming! Driving through those rocks at the beginning is very fun to me. The rest of Velocicoaster I also find quite good, I like floater airtime quite a bit.
Great review. Calling the park "Sketchy" barely covers it, "barely functioning dump" was more accurate. I kind of wish you'd been able to write a more in-depth review of all the park rides, but seriously, I think there's not really much to review and I don't see the point in getting on a bunch of subpar, and possibly dangerous rides just to say they were as crappy as they looked like from the outside. I think most people would be surprised at just how subpar this whole park looks while driving past it on Highway 85. I drove by it for months thinking it was a defunct park that had been left to the elements to deteriorate before realizing it was still a (supposedly) functioning park. That monster truck in the front doesn't do it any favors either.
I JUST got my credit for this coaster LITERALLY last week friday! Don't kmow why, but that first drop in the front row actually stopped me from screaming 😳 and i've been waaaaay higher up than that. Growing up going to dixieland, I have a handful of prominent positive (and a few negative 👀) memories of the changes over the years. The purchase made by Funspot had me excited for sure, and the addition of Arie is a godsend. But I'm still hurt by the state of the 'park'. Funspot Kissimee should've been the goal for Funspot Atlanta, instead we have a skeleton of an entertainment venue with a still beating heart in that rollercoaster. Hopefully, this video gets them to act quickly. Imagine how much money they could pull in with two more solid coasters, a few good flatrides to replace all the old shites, and some actual landscaping?...👀
@@PoseidonEntertainment**inhales to speak**. **pauses**. Y'know... I'm a bit torn here. 1) thanks for the response 🥰 2) with six flags only being open on weekends now, for some money-tightening reason i'm sure, I guess i'm just greedy for a reliable, thrilling, and themed entertainment option in Atlanta 😕 Not like i'll get the ability to draw up plans for "Universal Atlanta" anytime soon, but it just feels... Overdue? Somehow? Maybe I just need to sketch up a new age indoor park design and pitch it to the right billionaire i'll finally get some sleep 😮💨 La vie est drôle
Saying velocicoaster is forceless is a hot take. Hard disagree, that second launch into the tophat feels like you're in a damn jet and the mosasaurus roll has upside down negative gs which I didn't even know was possible
I find it amusing that the major park in the area gets an unfinished RMC that is irredeemable trash as a result (it looks like they used auto-complete to finish the thing ffs) and the random park gets a complete looking one. It feels like it should be the other way around. Now i haven't been on either, but as Twisted Cyclone was the most anticipated I've ever been for a coaster, seeing the unfinished looking nature of its layout and the EXTREMELY forced looking ending (again auto-complete), any and all goodwill and faith in it died. I'm 100% serious when i say that id rather they left Georgia Cyclone alone if this was the "best" that they could do, that is how much i hate that ride. I wasn't expecting something like Steel Vengance, but i was expecting more than half of Wicked Cyclone or Twisted Timbers.
Having been on multiple RMCs, Wildcat's Revenge at Hersheypark takes the cake for the best RMC in my book. With ArieForce One right behind it. Both are not the biggest, but they have the best sequences of elements that hit right in a row with no deadspots or dull turnarounds that exist on both Gwazi and SteVe. To say Velocicoaster is forceless though... Have you ridden in the back row? That first inversion is INSANE in the back row.
I've ridden Velocicoaster probably many more times than the average person and yeah, it feels relatively forceless to me. Even the launches on Hagrids have more impact at their lower speed.
Not sure I agree with anything else in the video….but you’re whole stigma is being purposely controversial anyway so it’s hard to take anything you say seriously but either way….Arie force is a big scale rmc with the layout of a small scale Rmc which gives it that insane feeling and yea it’s my favorite over, iron gwazi, lightning rod, steel vengeance, and zadra… but that’s an unpopular opinion… also saying velocicoaster is mid just means you haven’t ridden it lol
It just seems like you're personally offended by my opinion, which is a weird reaction. I've definitely been on Velocicoaster more than the average person and it's simply less interesting to me.
I don't know what Iron Gwazi you rode, I get all the airtime, ejector time, and float time you can ever want. I am out of my seat at least 50% of the ride.
Oh, no. I should have known. A traveling carnival that made a permanent home. I was quite concerned when I hadn't heard of it. 1990??? Nope. I had to look up where this was at. You had to drive far! Six Flags is much closer to the city than this Fun Spot place. I do thank you for a trip down memory lane. I really enjoyed your take on Atlanta.
@@frzstat The airport! That makes sense. I was thinking the route was from Centennial Olympic Park because of the last two videos. I get super focused on the story. My bad. Wait... is it "Atlanta Airport" now? Hartsfield?
You should really make a trip out to Ohio for Cedar Point one day and share your thoughts on Steel Vengeance! I rode that one before Iron Gwazi which unfortunately made Iron Gwazi feel a bit underwhelming. But Gwazi is not alone, there's another RMC in Florida worth checking out - Mine Blower at Fun Spot Kissimmee. There's a couple of small coasters and many flat rides that aren't anything too special, but Mine Blower makes it worth the visit.
Mine Blower was manufactured by The Gravity Group. I actually think that an RMC at FSK would make sense though. The Orlando park would also benefit from an RMC single rail.
@PoseidonEntertainment That is correct, the original ride was made by GG but had a partial retrack with RMC, I think it was part of the deal Fun Spot made with ArieForce One.
@@PoseidonEntertainment Not really, layout is still the same. 208 ReTrak was done on the first drop and on the final turn to the brake run, and maybe in one other zone if I'm missing any. Makes the ride smoother but it would have been much better if the entire track was redone in 208.
What is your opinion on big wooden coasters? I can't tell if you would like them or not with how you seem to dislike roughness but enjoy aggressive airtime.
I'll ride anything, but generally, I don't find wooden coasters very comfortable. I liked the original Gwazi quite a lot in its earliest years, but I haven't been on anything that has really touched it. I haven't been on since 2019, but I do remember liking White Lightning at Fun Spot Orlando though.
I get thinking velocicoaster and Iron Gwazi being overrated but saying they are underwhelming?! Damn... Thats a crazy thing to say. That being said, I love Aire Force One and do find it better than both so I guess we can agree on that, haha.
I'm desensitized to the thrill of coasters, so they don't do much for me. I think that's why I value positive g's because at least it's feeling something.
154ft and 54mph doesn't sound right. Usually coasters 100ft hit 50mph, 150ft 60mph, 200ft 70mph, etc. What gives? Eg the smiler is only 98ft and hits 53mph Edit: just looked it up I was right it goes 64mph, the script had a mistake
I guess it's a combination of being old and overweight, but I just don't find RMCs to be fun. The restraints are pretty awful, combined with abrupt elements just abuses my body and I don't enjoy it. I'd much rather ride the front row of Sheikra or Montu than Iron Gwazi these days.
Ride attendants are allowed to leave their button. You’ll be fine. Rides are safe, they know where the coaster is on the track. Your Disney expectations for regional parks is a bit much. You bashed six flags great America, a top 3 Six Flags park. Love the channel. More rollercoaster content every now and the. Would be awesome if you’re getting into them.
What an odd park and holy moly what a terrible financial decision on their part! On the subject of the wild west facades, for some reason that seems to be a common thing in family fun centers. Our local one has a very detailed western facade but literally no theming of any kind inside or out. I assume it’s intended to make the place look more appealing to passers by, but it’s just weird. Also, thank you for being seemingly the only coaster enthusiast online that is capable of recognizing that their personal preference for rides is not necessarily a reflection on the objective quality of an experience.
@@PoseidonEntertainment It’s just a small local FFC, but the exterior of the arcade has heavy wild west theming. The rest is all just concrete and blue awnings though.
Thebiron geazu was the worst experience of my life. Im 6'6" and my legs had ni f3eling in them for 45 min after the ride and my gf passed out because her seatbelt unlocked and i shoved the bar so far down into her lap she couldnt breathe. If you are tall or large or under 5'1 dont do it im 6'6" average build and my feet still hurt and ny ankles are brused
I don't think it's accurate to say thusies think B&Ms are boring and safe. Their older rides like montu and kumba and the inverts are easily some of the most intense rides out there, and every hyper and giga is generally well loved. I do think people are kind of bored with dive coasters, but there is a ton of buzz about the wing coaster opening next year. Sure, they aren't quite as exciting as other companies, but I think it's more the predictability that is turning people off. There is only so excited people can get about another dive coaster with useless vest restraints.
@@PoseidonEntertainment in the U.S. it looks like Hydra was the last one in 2005 at Dorney. Which is way longer ago than I expected. Everything since then has been an invert, a hyper/giga, a wing or a dive.
I’m not gonna lie I’ve been on iron gwazi dozens of times I like the drop otter bank and wave turn everything else is so mid. I still love the ride but it’s not my favorite RMC
I know you aren't a contrarian. That said, saying you were underwhelmed by Velocicoaster (especially being a person who loves theming and story telling) feels like contrarianism and I can't for the life of me think of a more comprehensible reason for such a take. I'm trying to be respectful but this one is stretching me. I do personally think Iron Gwazi is a bit overrated and I prefer Steel Vengeance and Lightning Rod (in its original form anyway) over Iron Gwazi. Side note, X2 is my personal favorite coaster but I will admit that it would be better if it had leg restraints like you have on B&M flying coasters. But I can totally get why it isn't for everyone. And I'm someone who prefers a great dark ride over a coaster so I'm not just looking for meaningless chaos in a ride. But X2 is still my favorite coaster
The theming of Velocicoaster is great, but I'm not getting much out of its layout. Like I said, I can acknowledge that it's a top tier experience in terms of layout and pacing, but I just don't personally get much out of it, especially when compared to the line-up of other coasters throughout Florida.
"A barely functioning dump that happens to have a world class coaster" I'm not a great fan of the place, only been twice, but both times it seemed to be running well enough. So this critique, while funny, seems like a bridge too far. It's not a GREAT park by any means and the theming is indeed quite baffling. Maybe I'm optimistic that it has room to grow and improve itself.
I don't think that description is harsh for what I observed, but I doubt that Fun Spot will improve with how mismanaged it is. I know people who have a bit of insight into how the parks are run from a management perspective and it's your typical story of greed.
I had to stop watching. I love Airieforce, my son and I drove over 6 hours to ride Airie, got to ride it by ourselves in every seat. Our exact words about ranking Airie, "it's awesome, but it's no Velocicoaster". Velocicoaster may be the current best coaster in the world. Best theming, best inversion, best ride trains and constraints, and yes the launches are punchy. How a coaster enthusiast could possibly say that the second launch on Velocicoaster, that powers you up the top hat is forceless is beyond me. Kinda makes me think, maybe you never actually rode it, just watched a pov.
I was one of the first people to ride it and I've been on many more times than the average person. The launches are less forceful than even Hagrids, which manages to be punchier at lower speeds.
Imagine being the management of this park watching this vid of some guy with no experience running an amusement center suggesting you're not even keeping up with maintenance on rides (he didn't even ride while there) after injecting 10mil into the property to elevate what was essentially an upper level FEC. But hey, you riled me up and got your comment engagement so congrats. The channel has always been primarily contrarian nonsense, but this vid is just too much bullshit hiding behind it "just being my opinion". You didn't need to do all that posturing. Could have just said the coaster was all I was interested in and kept it moving. The coaster enthusiast stuff is peak contrarian. I'll give you the X2 take, but nothing else makes sense. Montu somehow ending up the counter example for unnecessary intensity is...telling.
Nah, Fun Spot is an awfully managed company and I directly observed unsafe operational practices. I live in Orlando and know people who were former managers for Fun Spot and have heard what goes on there. If you don't have any knowledge of the industry, then why did you feel the need to even make a negative comment?
As someone who’s been on X2 and been in a bad roll over highway crash… they’re the exact same feeling
…now i want to ride it even more

I would describe this place as a 1970's park that reached 50 years into the future and grabbed Aries Force One and took it back with them. Their other adult coaster is so rough it almost crippled both me and my friend.
But... it opened in 1990?
@@PoseidonEntertainment I guess that's my point., When it opened in the 1990's the rides were at that time still from the 70's. How would I know ? I am a child from the 70's, I was there.
Love this description 😂
John Arie is the owner of fun spot and since a kid he actually has wanted to go to space hence the backstory
I would feel bad for the way I described the story if not for how awful Fun Spot is run and how badly they treat their employees.
Ah, yeah but I'll have to try SV when I get the chance
Man you choose violence going after Velocicoaster and Iron Gwazi
Eh, they're just fine
I love the fact that this popped up on my feed, lmfao. I got broken up with on that ferris wheel when I was like 17 and I’ve never gone back there despite living a couple minutes from the park.
Yeah, but you know who wouldn't break up with you? ArieForce One would never do that
As a former georgia native that grew up there i had never gone to the park until af1 opening day. There wasn’t any need to because even six flags was that much nicer which is a low bar. That being said af1 is a world class ride and I have been back a few times, but it really does feel out of place.
I'll have to get back there for Six Flags too. I wish I had time on the trip, but I couldn't fit it in
Get this man on Twisted Timbers.
I'll try lol
Yeah you lost me when you said Velocicoaster was underwhelming. Couldn't disagree more.
Well, at least there's now a standout coaster lol
Wildcat does sound interesting then. I've been wanting to go to Hershey for a while, but that's another good reason to go.
None of the Iron Gwazi layout has you flying out? I think you need to reride it lol. There is ejector airtime throughout
I rode a few weeks ago and got almost nothing in the back of the train lol
I've been on four times and it just feels like a whole lot of nothing to me lol
The fact this coaster is at Fun Spot and not Over Georgia still boggles my mind, but luckily atleast there are two RMCs less than an hour from my home :)
He’s officially lost it
While I don’t rank Arie Force One over the hyper RMCs, I basically describe it as an all-star team of elements.
Yeah, I'll have to get there again eventually. Haven't been to CP since the mid 2000s, so I'm sure it's very different.
Making a road trip during Christmas that passes through Atlanta and I demanded I be dropped off here for an hour just so I can ride it two or three times and then bounce.
I went on Millennium Force at 16-17 years old. Best roller coaster I’ve been on. You need to ride if you haven’t yet.
What do you mean? Like height differences?
We rode AerieForce One as the book end to our rollercoaster trip. It’s certainly below Steel Vengeance but is still an amazing ride!
@@PoseidonEntertainment Yeah dueling rides are not as common sadly. But when it happens, it's incredible.
I see its appeal in that aspect
It sounds like Poseidon enjoys feeling like he is going to go flying out of his seat. As Peppy Hare says, "Do a Barrel Roll..." While I haven't been on Arie, I would have thought that Velocicoaster's final long barrel roll would have appealed more to Poseidon...it makes me grab my seat thinking I'm headed for a swim in the lagoon.
The VC roll is great, but it's the only inversion that has any impact for me. I like Velocicoaster, but it's nowhere near my favorite experience.
You deserve a like for that iconic line
Don’t feel bad. Drew me and the wife on too! Rode the RMC about 12x. Been on Iron Gwazi and Steel Vengeance too!
I'm not sure how I could be any clearer. Also, Mako is a really strong coaster to me. If it wasn't for Montu, it would be my favorite in the state.
Love what you’re saying and I agree. I did not care for velocicoaster
Must respectfully disagree with you about VelociCoaster. I finally got to ride it last August twice, first time in back then very front row, and I loved it. So much fun!!
Yeah, I know that I'm in the minority with my opinion but I'm glad you enjoyed it. Theming is still top tier too
@@PoseidonEntertainment I was talking with a Universal cast member in that dual level Jurassic Park gift shop area shortly after getting off the coaster and he said, “Disney scares the kids. We scare the adults!” Lol.
I paid for 2 rides on this coaster and they let me ride it pretty much back to back, including the last ride of the night. Rode it at twilight and into the night. It was Amazing! It's worth the visit just to get on this ride
I assume they weren't checking lol?
Of course not lol. @PoseidonEntertainment
I’m an Atlanta native and I have never heard of Fun Spot, or any of its previous names. I thought we only had Six Flags 😂
The last time I went on Iron Gwazi a few weeks ago, I got just the tinniest little pop of ejector sitting towards the back, but that's about it.
AFO is my favorite RMC hands down( still have to go to Europe and Japan)
After riding Iron Gwazi, I find it to be a little **too** chaotic for me. It's super fun, sure, but I feel like I might die no less than 3 times. Now I do find Velocicoaster very good, but mostly because my primary desire in theme parks is... well... theming! Driving through those rocks at the beginning is very fun to me. The rest of Velocicoaster I also find quite good, I like floater airtime quite a bit.
Yeah, Veloci is a stand-out for its theming, which is why I keep coming back to it.
Fun Spot times are here (not again)
Some top tier coasters and landscaping would be enough to turn the park around I think. That's all it really needs to be.
Overdue? Somehow?
Maybe I just need to sketch up a new age indoor park design and pitch it to the right billionaire i'll finally get some sleep 😮💨
La vie est drôle
Love your channel and respect your opinions. Was not expecting to hear such disdain for Velocicoaster in this video. Forceless?! 😭
Disdain? Nah, I casually enjoy it, but there are many other coasters that I prefer, even Hulk.
I miss El Toro. The best roller coaster I have ever been on.
Saying velocicoaster is forceless is a hot take. Hard disagree, that second launch into the tophat feels like you're in a damn jet and the mosasaurus roll has upside down negative gs which I didn't even know was possible
The roll yeah, but the second launch feels like nothing to me
I find it amusing that the major park in the area gets an unfinished RMC that is irredeemable trash as a result (it looks like they used auto-complete to finish the thing ffs) and the random park gets a complete looking one.
I just watched a POV and that's hilarious. Yeah, it does look like an auto-complete RCT feature lol
I've definitely been on Velocicoaster more than the average person and it's simply less interesting to me.
so epic
I don't know what Iron Gwazi you rode, I get all the airtime, ejector time, and float time you can ever want. I am out of my seat at least 50% of the ride.
Oh, no. I should have known. A traveling carnival that made a permanent home. I was quite concerned when I hadn't heard of it. 1990??? Nope. I had to look up where this was at. You had to drive far! Six Flags is much closer to the city than this Fun Spot place. I do thank you for a trip down memory lane. I really enjoyed your take on Atlanta.
It's only 13 miles from the Atlanta Airport (car rental.) SFOG is 14 miles from the Airport (car rental.)
@@frzstat The airport! That makes sense. I was thinking the route was from Centennial Olympic Park because of the last two videos. I get super focused on the story. My bad. Wait... is it "Atlanta Airport" now? Hartsfield?
@@ks.kyokudonanshunit's officially Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, I was using the car rental center as a landmark.
Damn. I never thought I'd see a Poseidon Entertainment video on ArieForce One lol.
Why not?
John Arie (jr) is the CEO of fun spot lol, if im correct the story is based on his dad though
Yeah didn't realize that. Should have just gone with a fighter jet theme or something though.
I’ve never seen someone slander Velocicoaster this hard, I can’t tell if you’re serious or if you’re over-exaggerating for script writing purposes.
You seem upset that I find it underwhelming
@@cyclicmusings2661 Ohh that's interesting, I definitely wasn't aware. Were there any significant changes to it?
What gives?
Eg the smiler is only 98ft and hits 53mph
Edit: just looked it up I was right it goes 64mph, the script had a mistake
Ah yeah, I didn't realize I typed it incorrectly
I guess it's a combination of being old and overweight, but I just don't find RMCs to be fun. The restraints are pretty awful, combined with abrupt elements just abuses my body and I don't enjoy it. I'd much rather ride the front row of Sheikra or Montu than Iron Gwazi these days.
Was the music at the beginning a generic version of "this must be the place"?
Ride attendants are allowed to leave their button. You’ll be fine. Rides are safe, they know where the coaster is on the track. Your Disney expectations for regional parks is a bit much. You bashed six flags great America, a top 3 Six Flags park. Love the channel. More rollercoaster content every now and the. Would be awesome if you’re getting into them.
Eh no, I'm not going to excuse unsafe operations because a park is regional.
I am interested in your opinion of stell vengeance if you’ve ridden
I haven't, but I'll try to get to CP eventually
What an odd park and holy moly what a terrible financial decision on their part! On the subject of the wild west facades, for some reason that seems to be a common thing in family fun centers. Our local one has a very detailed western facade but literally no theming of any kind inside or out. I assume it’s intended to make the place look more appealing to passers by, but it’s just weird.
Also, thank you for being seemingly the only coaster enthusiast online that is capable of recognizing that their personal preference for rides is not necessarily a reflection on the objective quality of an experience.
What park do you live near that has a facade like that?
@@PoseidonEntertainment It’s just a small local FFC, but the exterior of the arcade has heavy wild west theming. The rest is all just concrete and blue awnings though.
Interested to hear your thoughts on Steel Vengeance, since you weren't a huge fan of Iron Gwazi
I'll need to go back to CP eventually, just need to find the time
Thebiron geazu was the worst experience of my life.
I'm in town but the park is closed the whole time I'm here 😪
I don't think it's accurate to say thusies think B&Ms are boring and safe.
I've seen a lot of cynicism towards B&M lately, but yeah, I guess it might just be the new stuff. When was the last time a park got a good looper?
@@PoseidonEntertainment in the U.S. it looks like Hydra was the last one in 2005 at Dorney. Which is way longer ago than I expected. Everything since then has been an invert, a hyper/giga, a wing or a dive.
Now if a park could come up with a well themed RMC coaster ... more like Big Thunder Mountain and less like Tron.
That would be pretty cool. I doubt there's any U.S. parks that would do it, but I could see something like that at Phantasialand
@@PoseidonEntertainment Maybe Universal will be the first. Not too many parks in the US value theming
Parking lot theme park? Did you go to Six Flags Magic Mountain??!!!
You probably rode gwazi in the morning before it was warmed up
I’m not gonna lie I’ve been on iron gwazi dozens of times I like the drop otter bank and wave turn everything else is so mid. I still love the ride but it’s not my favorite RMC
It makes you wonder why they invested in the coaster.
It definitely brought me there. I didn't even know there was a Fun Spot Atlanta until it was announced.
You need to go to Knobles in Pennsylvania 😊
Eventually for sure
A barely functioning dump with a world class coaster? Still better than 6 Flags over GA...
I thought this was supposed to be about Arieforce One and the small park it was in. Half of this video was other roller coasters. SMH
Everyone can have an opinion, but in this case your opinion is horrendously wrong. 😂 Comments all disagree with you.
Iron gwazzi is not that good honestly it’s my faith favorited rollercoaster behind, steel vengeance, wildcats revenge, skyrush and leviathan.
You are cool 😎
"A barely functioning dump that happens to have a world class coaster"
I'm not a great fan of the place, only been twice, but both times it seemed to be running well enough.
You only rode it once????!!!
I didn't have much time
Velocicoaster and Iron Gwazi are 2 of my top 3 so I feel personally attacked lol
Nah, just a matter of preference
But is it better than steve?🤔
I also agree Velocicoaster and Iron Gwazi were underwhelming when I first rode them they gave me poor first impressions but not Arieforce1!
