You didn't talk about the enya ukulele. In my opinion a fantastic uku. Action is perfect, fret wires are smooth, gig bag is of high quality. All top of the line parts.
I needed this, I got a cheap plastic ukulele that had REALLY high action so doing chords other than C chord felt like I was trying to cut open my fingers. Also one of the strings popped out after 2 months of use.
I love your accent! I replayed you saying, "bashing it about a bit" OMG, say that 5 times in a row as fast as possible 😁 I'm in the southeastern USA so there are some great accents too. Very informative video thanks. Stay safe and well 🎵🎵💕😎
alvarez and cordoba are good sounding. They sound like the beach kind of thing. All others featured here sounded more guitar-like, did not appeal to me much. Just me. but the comparisons are nice and well presented! How about Luna and Lanikai? I wanted somehow to hear comparisons of those three together in a vid. The difference between the mics will definitely affect the sound. Hope you can make one!
Great video. Have to wonder how the Epiphone Les Paul made this list. Your talent helps, but I own one as well, and sound wise, I’m less than impressed by it. The strings they come with, would be better used for tying fences than on a ukulele. Unfortunately, that is the least of its problems. The sound chamber is too small, the laminate is too thick, the gloss is too heavy, cheap onboard electronics with no tone or volume control. It looks cool, was finished flawlessly, no sharp frets, but it sounds like a plinky toy. I have to admit I still occasionally play it, because it plays decently and I am a fan of the design, the sound was slightly improved with Worth low g, but it leaves me disappointed.
I used to play the piano.. only stuck with it for a year, haven’t done any other music related things, although recently i have been interested in learning to play the ukulele, i first got the idea from my friend who plays it, I no absolutely nothing about music, any recommendations for a ukulele for me?
i feel kinda sorry for my parents cuss first i wanted to learn the piano ( so i got a piano as a birthday gift) and then i wanted to learn the guitar ( my brother has an old guitar ) and now i want to learn the ukelele :,b
I wanted to learn piano when i was young, but my family was too poor. As I grew up i shifted my sights on the guitar, I saved up but still i found it too costly as a young teenager. Now I got myself a ukulele in college and am really enjoying it! Go get it gurl it may be tough at first but its worth it
@@yandevvv lol no, i have piano, guitar, violin, and an ukulele. If your passionate in music like i am, its all you’d ask for. You can get great deals especially with guitars an ukuleles.
This is glorious, I been tryin to find out about "how to play a ukulele for beginners songs" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ive heard some decent things about it and my cousin got cool results with it.
Hi! Can you recommend a uke around $150-200 that doesn’t have a blunt edge? I am a beginner with a concert sized uke, and the uke I have is literally digging into my right forearm while strumming causing painful marks/bruises. I’ve experimented with various positioning, but I’ve concluded that it’s not the positioning that’s my problem, but the instrument’s design and the blunt edge where the side meets the top - no matter how I position, my forearm hits a corner one way or another. I am thinking that something with a more rounded edge would resolve the issue. Can you recommend some options? I’d really like a concert size, preferably an acoustic-electric. Thanks in advance!
I had gotten a tenor ukulele, but I'm going to have to get real strings. If that doesnt work out in thinking about maybe getting one the Sopranos that you reccomend.
Yeah man concert will work just fine I would just wait a couple months before you get a tenor but saprano or concert are both great for a absolute beginner. And if you want the same range as a concert but still want the soprano sound then they make long neck sopranos
@@peachyedits22 I've just found that a lot of people that are completely new to the instrument are intimated by it and it's harder to reach across it for some of the cords because it's just so spaced out. But if you are tall or have big hands then definitely start on a tenor or maybe concert
@@abonneermeneer9350 well.. no, it isn't tricky. I actually started with bass then the guitar. It's easier to find the bass notes, so I can find different notes just in case, like octaves and etc. (Drums, 7th grade. Bass, 8-9th grade and guitar, 10th grade and still playing.)
I have a Kala ka-15s it was a great starting Ukulele Also because the nut and saddle on the g9100 are real bone would Vegan be able to use it. Like I know they aren't eating it but would they still use it
These are all pretty pricey, mostly because they are made by famous guitar makers. Not for beginners. You can get a good uke under $100. The Aklot has a solid wood top for $50-65 and it is amazing.
please stop saying that this plastic garbage ukes are good for beginners! they are good to frustrate them. they can´t be adjusted, they have not good sound and / or intonation! C´mon
You can bring your ukulele to any of my parties. You play them well.
The production quality of this video is amazing

I had a soprano ukulele, $24.00 at guitar center, my brother blew it up with a M-80 😀

Oliver Lemana I really recommend the Fender ukes! My first ukelele was a Fender Venice, and it pretty much won a special place in my heart. I love it!

Why no mention of cost?
Anyone know the name of the song at 9:30?
