I just wanted to thank you for sharing this excellent review of the Dreambox craft cabinet! I'm reorganizing and just wanted to see the details and you did such a great job presenting this. I agree - the challenge of earning and saving for a big cabinet like this is fun and rewarding and it's so nice of you to help crafters by making the budget planner. Thank you Jennifer! This was great!
Well, you talked me into this investment and I saved and it will be here NEXT WEEK! I am beyond excited and have downloaded the free templates and started measuring my machines, press and supplies to I can get an idea of how I want to organize everything. Will probably change a hundred times, but love that it is customizable. Your videos made this so much less intimidating and now, it is such a creative outlet. Thank you SO much be being such an inspiration!
I have had the Dreambox 1 for a year, and I LOVE it!!! It was very expensive, but I feel that it has made my creative time so much more productive and enjoyable! I'm FINALLY organized, and I can easily find everything for my various crafting projects. It used to be very frustrating sitting down to work on something and not remembering where supplies were or if i even had them! So many times I ended up buying stuff i already had because I couldn't find it. It is utterly amazing how much you can fit into this thing. It has a very small "footprint", but it's like adding a craft room to your home. The only issues I have with the Dreambox 1 are the fact that you can't fit 12x12 paper into the containers without it getting a bit bent, and some table issues. The table is heavy and a bit unwieldy. You can use it at regular table height, a standing height, or a slanted drafting type table. But its quite heavy, and when you have the table fully extended (sitting height), you can't reach the back of the box without standing up. But the benefits have FAR outweighed those two issues. I have lately been using it at standing height and I really like it. As far as the 12x12 paper, I just store it vertically in a file box. And from what Jennifer's review says, those issues have been fixed in the Dreambox 2. If you do a lot of crafting, making, working from home or just needing a way to organize a LOT OF STUFF.....you will be thrilled with this purchase. It is expensive, but they do offer financing, so that really helped! 😊
I love my Dream Box and it truly makes crafting easier, I am no longer hunting through totes and boxes to find what I need. Worth the money to me for sure.
I've wanted one since they first came out. Only I can't add the weight of it to our moves when we move, so I am still waiting for our forever home. One day, one day, the retirement day is closer now. Lol Thank you for sharing this updated version! I didn't know it came out and now I'm more excited to be able to own one, one day sooner now. 😊❤
Love my Dream Box, have been using it for nearly 3 years now, it is handy, sturdy and well made, and very adaptable. I can find everything I need when I need it, no more hunting the house for my supplies. I ordered the pre-built version to make it even easier for myself, and it was well worth the money, IMHO!

I just adore you!! I love how honest you are and that you’re so relatable. I’d love to have a Dreambox to have a workspace in my tiny apartment but it’s just not in the budget. I love that you don’t sugarcoat the cost or make it sound like it should be easily achievable. It’s definitely an investment and everyone I’ve heard that’s tried to replicate it, cannot because it’s amazing! So happy for you and your beautiful, new Dreambox 2! ❤
I talked about a CreateBox for years. We finally bought a new house and though it is amazing, it doesn’t have a craft room. For Mother’s Day my husband surprised me with my “craft room in a box” and said I just needed to answer all the question to customize my box 🎉😊❤
First, let me say that I love your videos. I am still a fairly new follower. I bought my Original ScrapBox Ultimate Sewing Box in late 2019, then a few months later the Dream Box came I am still very happy with my Ultimate Sewing Box, and keep my sewing machine (with the built in pneumatic sewing machine lift), and my sewing and crafting supplies in it. I have been dabbling about saving up for a Dream Box for while and make it dedicated just for my other crafting needs. Now seeing the Dream Box 2, I just may have to do it. I thoroughly enjoyed watching your unboxing and set up video and this one with the 5 things you love and the one 1 you do not. I appreciate your honesty of not accepting a "free" one from the company and how you saved up for the new one. Not many bloggers/vloggers do that. You are a joy to watch. Thank you for the enjoyable videos, tips and tricks, and wish you continued success!🥰 (Glad you are staying cool.... We are in the 100s here in Texas...)
I received my dreambox last fall and I love it. I do wish my version had the same table option as the new DB2 though...I wonder if someone will come up with a hack...
I wanted to get a dream box but being in Canada it is almost double the price plus taxes and shipping so got one from Staples which is good for the time being since I have recently moved to a one bedroom condo so really don't have much room. Now to the age where I may be giving up crafting except for my great grand kids...only time will tell. But it is beautiful addition to any home.
I just got mine in May and I LOVE it!!! I do wish I knew a new one was coming out, but I am very happy and pleased with it...and it has helped me be more productive. I have very poor lighting and very little natural light, so i opted for the crown light. I can see! 😅
I'd love one, except I live on a low disability. I'm not complaining. It's better than none. Just doesn't allow goodies like a dream box. I'm happy for you having the dream box 2, congrats!
Hello Jennifer Lovely Dream box , I am really Happy the Dream box works for your needs xxx My man is building me my own craft area and I chose Light Violet Paint and Rose gold Geometric Wallpaper. I also get a Huge Cabinet( painted Light Violet) to store all my crafts in . As I needle Felt, Draw ,Pant and Do coloring ….Also Cricut Air 2 Explore Yellow.
I already have one it is called the scrap box the original name for it here in the UK . Worth every penny as my small craft room doubles as a bedroom for my grand son when he stays over.
Please tell me if that table with no legs will support a working sewing machine. Will it bounce as it sews? Do the side tables work with #2 if I'm working on a quilt? I know it's for crafters but I'm also an embroider and seamstress. Please let me know if it's applicable for me. I know i can fill it! Just worried about the strength of that table with a bouncing sewing machine. Thank you so much for all the info you impart. Many things I do could not have been accomplished without your input.
Their site says the table supports 50 lbs, BUT if you attach the DreamBox to your wall (as I have) and use the base stabilizers (which are included with your DreamBox), it’s my understanding they will hold up to 200 lbs. 💗
@cardtoadingcajungirl, I totally agree. I appreciate her totally honest review. Thank you for the budget saving sheet for those who need assistance in understanding how to attain a goal. So many times I see people whine about the price but you said it right. If you want it, use discipline, prioritize, and sacrifice. You won’t be disappointed. Best review I have seen for the box.
@jummycokes the voice command is not part of the dreambox 2. She plug the lights into a smart plug that is connected to her Google. If you have Alexa and a smart plug. You can plug it to that, like I have some of my things plug in for my Alexa to control at my command.
@@terrymcbride-murphy9616 HaHa.. I do have a smart plug that I could do that with. Thanks for the tip. I love the new legless table though. One leg on mine keeps falling off because the screw is bad 😞
I definitely agree that the Dreambox is a worthwhile investment. I would love to have one of those. Unfortunately I have no where to put one and with my limited income I probably won't be able to afford one. It's nice to dream about though.
I totally understand that it's not just about being able to afford, but also having a place for it. I didn't have one for a while here in my office for that reason, until I finally figured out how I could do it (I am blocking my shelves, but it turns out it works because I just swing the doors open to get to the shelves). I don't think the DreamBox is for everyone, but rather a solution for some.
I just got mine in February of this year. I like the 2.0 so much better but I will have to just work with it. Love mine but can’t justify losing money selling it and getting a new one
I want a DreamBox really bad. I love your idea of saving and making it a goal. I am going to use your worksheet and do that...thanks! I wanted to tell you that when I went to your site and clicked on the button to see the DreamBox 2, it says page not found. Just an FYI. Thank you for sharing your beautiful DreamBox...love it!!!!
Thank you for alerting me to the link - we have fixed it!! And I hope you do set a goal of getting one - it will feel amazing when you achieve the goal, I know from experience!!
I would love one been watching it for years but im based in the uk so I'm guessing shipping would cost way too much however would love to see you do a shelf by shelf tour.... let us live vicariously through you Jennifer maker 😊. Great content as always
thanks for the review, I like to know that you paid for it as opposed to receiving it for free. You showed how you can do either the computer or the shelf. Does the shelf come with it or do you have to decide ahead how you want to configure it?
The short divider shelf is separate, so you can decide later if you want to get and use it. I swapped mine to the short divider after I'd set it all up and wanted to reconfigure it.
My wife and I recently found your channel and have been enjoying it. We have tried to sign up for the library Password, with no luck. When I emailed you using the link on your page, it came back that there is a problem. How do we get the password?
Jennifer, I love all your videos. You are so upbeat and positive in every one of them. And your enthusiasm for whatever you are doing is believable AND contagious! After watching this video, it caused me to think through my own setup in my crafting room (actually my garage). I am a relative novice in the Cricut/crafting world and perhaps I am lazy or I am missing something. Do you take whichever cutting machine you are going to use for a specific project off the shelf and then close it up, unplug it, and return it to your DreamBox after finishing each project? And do you need to move your printer off the shelf every time you are going to use it? I am not being critical. Please don't take it that way. I am just trying to learn from you because I trust you and I am sure I must be missing something. I use 8' tables butted up against each other around 3 outer walls of my garage, even leaving enough room in the middle to back my car in. It's a one-car garage but even with the car in the garage, I can walk around the tables to work on a specific portion of the project I am working on. Of course, it is a lot easier to leave the car outside when I am crafting! For me, the best thing about my garage setup is that everything is always plugged in and ready to go. Oh, and one corner where the table forms a right angle I use that for my desk area with my computer and screen and desk chair. Please give me some advice. Did I miss a video on the problems of working in a garage? I really could use some help with understanding this. Thanks for listening.
Thank you so much! I am happy you can see my enthusiasm, since it's the real thing -- I love what I do. I am very grateful. So this is how it works for me at my DreamBox at home, which I've been using for much longer than the one in this video. I keep two Cricuts in the back area (back of the table) -- my Cricut Maker and my Cricut Joy. Those are the two I use the most at home. They are always there, and when I want to use them, I just slide them forward and use them. Then I slide them back to clear off my table. Now for the DreamBox 2 at the studio, I only recently got it, so I haven't got any real "play time" on it yet -- I mostly have just set it up. But, you'll note at the end of my video that I've put the short divider in along with the shelf below it -- my printer is on that shelf. So now I can have both of my main Cricuts in the back and my printer and a press on the shelf above. I suspect this is how I'll prefer it. I have other presses, and I do move them around and put them back as I need them. There are a lot of people that use the DreamBox in tandem with another table or two. I bring in tables when I am doing a big project. And at home, I have an IKEA table on the side under my pegboard, and I use that as a sort of prep area, an in-transition area. I've not worked in a garage before, though I have worked in a basement a lot. So I can't advise on the garage logistics. But I would think that something like a DreamBox WOULD be good for a garage because of the way it closes up. You'd have to measure your garage to make sure it would fit, of course. I recommend getting out some graph paper and pencil, measure your garage and draw it on the paper, then put the DreamBox dimensions on it to see if it would fit with your car parked in there -- both open and closed. :)
@@JenniferMaker Thanks for your detailed response. I wouldn't have expected any less from you. I will do as you suggested and get out my graph paper and start plotting it out. Now if I can only find some graph paper! 😀 Haven't used any in so long. The last time I did, it was in school and that was before the earth cooled! You know, when the dinosaurs roamed the planet! You're texting with a semi-retired septuagenarian who, for most of my life had a secret desire to be a crafter but I allowed that desire to be put aside by life's journey (family, work, etc.). But what was dormant for so many years, woke up about the same time that my Social Security checks began to arrive a couple of years ago. I watch your videos religiously. I recently purchased your Cricut Coach Playbook. Thanks again for all your insight and especially your labor of love. It has inspired me to "Craft the Life I Love" Oh, my name is Lewis and I do all my crafting in Westchester County, NY (a suburb of NYC)
Thank you so much for asking this question, because I didn't realize their site was saying 50 lbs. I reached out to Create Room to clarify, and this is what I now know: if you attach the DreamBox to your wall (as I have) and use the base stabilizers (which are included with your DreamBox), then they will hold up to 200 lbs. But not everyone does this, so they say 50 lbs. for safety.
If a dreambox 2 is purchased is it possible to add the purchase of additional totes or a side table later on? Also is the overhead light part of the purchase or an add-on? Thanks.
Yes, you can add these things on later! And yes, an LED light is included, and you can add on a second one if you purchase the crown. If you get one before 7/6/23, be sure to use my discount code -- JENNIFERMAKERDB2 -- and then email us so we can send you your gift card or gift course!
Jennifer I love the dream box, but the first one does not look like the one you have in your room? And the table on the first one has legs and is brown? Confused are they 2 different dream boxes?
We have four DreamBoxes between Greg and I and our studio -- the brown one is the first one we got. The white ones with legs are #2 and #3. The one without legs is my new DreamBox 2. :)
I think the dream box site is breaking! I have been trying to purchase since the early access at 11:00am and it just keeps buffering. Any suggestions on how they are going to handle this order nightmare?
I bought it on Amazon! Here are the links for my outfit: Dress: amzn.to/3NmBsir Sweater: amzn.to/3CKzOlS Shoes: amzn.to/42SoXkl (all affiliate links ❤️ )
i've seen it all over insta awhile back and today again! I figured the insta adds I saw who said "40$ for this unit!" was a scam(like something so well made and usefull is 1000% not 40$ lmao) tho a quick google reverse image search showed me the original maker and name of this product! And here I am looking up reviews and honestly so far I'm so interested to get one!!! I make figures and the amount of supplies I have is ridiculous and the lack of space to store it even more ridiculous XD
@JenniferMaker Hi jennifer I'm getting the dream box 2 I how you got my message they said that is to tapes is the long one or the short one you show that you can switch it around is the middle did you buy the long dividers or the short dividers
Their site says 50 lbs, BUT if you attach the DreamBox to your wall (as I have) and use the base stabilizers (which are included with your DreamBox), it's my understanding they will hold up to 200 lbs.
So I am thinking about getting one of these as I prepare for the stages of getting ready to retire and be able to actually use all my crafty stuff that currently is all over my house. I have a late 70's house that doesn't have tall ceiling and I am concerned about the height? I believe I read somewhere that it needs about 9ft of wall space when it is opened all the way. Please tell me if I am wrong as I don't have much wall space. I have been waiting for my kiddos to start moving out and my son is getting married in Aug so that is freeing up a craft/work room for me as I have three more years of full time working from home and this looks like it will work for my laptop and work phone so it will be multi purpose for now if the measurements work. Does anyone know them by chance? Including the height since it appears really tall?
@tammymarch3225 My house was built in the late '60s with the typical low ceilings -- 8', or even a bit less. Even the DreamBox you see in this video is in a building with ceilings under 8'. There's NO issue with that. The nine feet is the width, not the height. And there are people who don't have nine feet and still use the DreamBox -- you need just a bit over 7 feet to open it and keep the swing doors at an angle, which is my preference anyway, as you can then reach everything while seated. :)
@@JenniferMaker that’s what I need! Lol. I currently have three shelving units that are about as tall as the dream box and almost as wide full of craft stuff plus a working table area +24 spice racks on the wall full of glitter and my Cricut and my inkjet printer are across the room in my office section of the room. I would love to get a sublimation printer, but I just don’t have room. My craft of choice is resin tumblers, so I really could use two workstations, one for prepping and one for my cup turners. I’m thinking I could get two dream boxes and set them up so that when they’re open they meet in the corner and then I would have my two workstations and could have my Cricut and my printer in the same areas as my other craft supplies. And the light you showed on the top is an extra plus and I love how you set it up with the smart device!
@@JenniferMaker I have a DreamBox. An older one. I too love it. Helps out a lot in getting hobby items organized. My room was a wreck and now it’s a lot better. I got mine in 2019. Thank you for this! I just ordered mine yesterday and am SO excited to get it!!
Hope you enjoy it!
Thank u for making this video !! I, too, am making this a goal !!! Thank u so much for showing me how to make it real
Best of luck!
Hi Jennifer “Thank you” for this video and your honesty. Will be getting a Dream Box 2 at the end of summer. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
You are so very welcome! Enjoy it!💗
Thank you so much for your kind words and I'm glad you enjoyed it! 💗
@cbebji2 is very true. Great way to look at for sure. I missed the part where she shared a budget paper?
OMG, I wish I had waited for the Dreambox 2. The table with no legs and the voice command are quite an upgrade !!!!!
@@jummycokes I wish I could afford the dreambox.😥 One of these days I will...I hope.
@@terrymcbride-murphy9616 some day you will 🙏🏾 It took me 4 years from when I saw it to finally get one. It truly holds so much stuff.
Right, thank you for sharing that information! 💗
There's no reason not to love what you have, Tracy! The DreamBox 1 is a wonderful thing. Enjoy it!!
Create Room has a UK division, but when I asked about it, I heard they were sold out. Hopefully they will come back though!
I would love a DreamBox, but it's the price. I doubt that I could fill one up. But, I can always dream about it. Thank you for sharing.
I totally get it, and it may not be the right solution for you if you couldn't fill it up. What's important is what is right for YOU.
Do you know if you can replace the table from my old dream box with the new Dream box?
hmmm I'm not sure. Maybe give CreateRoom a call.🥰
Thanks for the review.
My pleasure!💗
Will the table support a Cricut cutting machine?
Yes. If you attach the DreamBox to your wall and use the base stabilizers (which are included with the DreamBox), then they it can hold up to 200lbs.
thanks for the review, I like to know that you paid for it as opposed to receiving it for free.
@@JenniferMaker thanks for the info
My wife and I recently found your channel and have been enjoying it. We have tried to sign up for the library Password, with no luck. When I emailed you using the link on your page, it came back that there is a problem. How do we get the password?
Oh no! The email bounced back? Please email hello@jennifermaker.com

You can print graph paper -- just Google it. I had to do it for Alexa when she ran out. Thank you for the kind words, Lewis!
Jennifer, you mention the table holds up to 200lbs, but the website says only 50lbs. Which one is accurate?
Thank you so much for asking this question, because I didn't realize their site was saying 50 lbs. I reached out to Create Room to clarify, and this is what I now know: if you attach the DreamBox to your wall (as I have) and use the base stabilizers (which are included with your DreamBox), then they will hold up to 200 lbs. But not everyone does this, so they say 50 lbs. for safety.
@@JenniferMaker ok. I understand that then. Thank you for clarifying.
I *really* want one, I just wish I had the room. What do you do with your original Dream Box? Store extras in there now? 🙂
My “old” one, which is still wonderful, was wheeled over to the new suite we leased at our studio for my team to use and enjoy!
@@JenniferMaker Oh, that's great! 😀 One day, I'll get one of these. If only I could figure out a spot for it!
So you bought the new Dreambox and you have two now? Or did you sell the old one?
Yes, I still have my other one as well! 💗
And yes, we bought all of them and used the same discount everyone else gets. We are huge fans of the DreamBox. :)
I am curious if there are any beaders out there that are using one of these and would love to see how they make it work
That's a great question! I'm sure there are!🥰
I think the dream box site is breaking! I have been trying to purchase since the early access at 11:00am and it just keeps buffering. Any suggestions on how they are going to handle this order nightmare?

how much weight can the table take?

OOOOOo Thanks!

Here is the link for the dimensions for your planning, www.createroom.com/pages/dreambox-detail-2?ref=5bf2f168d6216 💗
Thank you, we had bought a cabinet to match my husband's desk for work at it touches the ceiling so I kind of freaked out a min. Lol
If only I could find the room!
That can be a bit of a challenge for sure! 💗
Por eso se llama Dream Box, para que sueñes con el y trabajes duro para obtenerlo. Yo si la quiero. ❤
Yes, exactly! Thank you for watching!💗
I am saving because I want 2 of them! Lol
Woo Hoo! That will certainly hold a lot of crafting supplies!💗
Thanks as always Jennifer for showing us all the things 😁. I’ve loved the DreamBox since I’ve seen it and will be saving for one🙌🏾
You are so welcome!💗

Yes, that is correct! But really because I love it so much and I would like nothing more than for it to be accessible to more crafters . 💗
