Unfortunately project migration will create lot of problems but no one teach you those things.

In server we are having ad/Ldap integration is free but not in cloud. How can we manage users without purchasing it

    1. Does copying the data over to our cloud instance cause the server version to become unavailable?
    2. Im currently running a trial version of the cloud. If i import this and get the trial version working as desired, can i request to have this environment changed to our production version?

@@mur53l Hi Mursel - update here is i have finally migrated to cloud. i can answer the following:
      1. copying data over to cloud does not render the server version unavailable. The migration tool can be used on multiple occasions and you can request to even have the cloud site reset if you want to start from scratch.
      2. Once i was happy with my trial cloud version, i paid the license fee and the trial site became the prod site. Did not need to renew anything. I can say, make sure you are happy with the naming convention as according to Atlassian, this cannot be changed on the instance once active. You would need to requests a new cloud trial site with the desired name and do your final cloud migration to that one.
      Hope this helps.

Do user get an email notification when migrating - and if so, how to turn this off in case of just testing the migration?

When we migrate from jira server to jira cloud data moves or copy?

Thanks for the question. It will read the data out of Jira Server and copy it to Cloud. Nothing will change on Jira Server.

Does this tool migrates comments, history and attachment of project issues as well?
