- Less than a year after Governor Polis and state lawmakers celebrated "full funding" for K-12 education, they're looking to cut that funding. It comes as the state faces the tightest budget outside of COVID-19 since the Great Depression.
How about all elected officials take a pay cut they created the problem
Who stole all the money? Or gave it away?
Illegal invasion designed to do this.
Yes, Please go back to Europe
Little cut this year, a little cut next year, and all of a sudden people complain that schools can't teach and are unsafe. And like magic, private schools look great.
We are way past that... Schools are not safe and teachers can't teach
But keep funding them wolves! Priorities...
dang you beat me to that comment..
Wolves that are wreaking havoc 2R ranchers and Farmers yep that's working out isn't it
Pollis and the Democrats have destroyed Colorado!
can help the illegal immigrants but not your actual citizens, heard. Fix Colorado.
Polis is a disaster
@@Dontquoteme933 he's a democrat
This is sad! My sister is a teacher here and she spends her own money on her class, so much so that some months she can not afford food for herself.
Incompetent leadership in public schools

What Colorado wouldn't do to get some decent leaders in office
what the heck happened to All that Gambling and MaryJane money!!
Shouldnt gave it to everyone who didnt pay taxes into the state. Giving all OUR damn money and resources to anything and everyone even other states who it wasnt meant for. Now the people its for have nothing.
What about marijuana it was supposed to save the schools
It's dropped by a lot. 2021 was the apex at $423,486,053. The MJ boom appears to be over or, at a much lower plateau now. 2024 was at $255,364,952

Wasn't legalising weed presented as providing money for education? ... 2012? ... Same party as today?...
This is criminal, but we, the tax payers wont do anything.
How about cutting the Secretary of States budget they hsve already botched 2 elections
Grok gives 110,000 students of illegal parents in Colorado. CO spends 16,000 per student.
Removing these students would save 1.76 billion a year just from the education budget. That would entirely solve the budget crisis.
Too bad Colorado is a sanctuary state.
Stop giving people with children tax breaks. If schools need tech, security, mental health services, etc then maybe start paying taxes to have a kid!
What they're saying is our great governor of colorado, we're going to cut funding from the american people and support the illegal aliens with more of our federal tax dollars
"Christians" will condemn this.
Yeah it’s not like kids become future taxpayers or anything. This is a state issue and the Colorado child tax credit cuts off at extremely low incomes and only for kids under 6.
Idk try cutting congress people's salaries.
Tax churches.
Increase taxes on secondary homes.
Secondary homes? You like rent increases?
