She had a magnificent collection of jewels that had a very elegant style. She had an interesting life. I'm glad she was generous and gave back. This was cool Jaydee!❤️
Amazing collection! She was once to be one of the closest friends of the Philippines former First Lady Imelda Marcos and helped the Marcos family while they were exiled in Hawaii.... thanks Jaydee
Thank you very much for the video. I've always found her and her life interesting. I learned a lil more from this video. She was one helluva woman (in a good way). Makes me wish I knew her. She seems to have been a very caring person. As for her jewelry WOW!!!!😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲
Yeah and got away with it, buying off the cops and the local community, giving a lousy pittance to that poor, murdered man's family, she was a tramp ,like most of her ilk, read the book, Marlon Brando unzipped and you will find what sort of bored, jaded , perverted thrill seeker she was .
Very true. She was jealous. I think she was besotted with him. He was very handsome yet gay and I think that infuriated her. She got away with the murder by paying off cops in high places. The super wealthy have their own rules. To put it politely I'm no fan of her.
When Rough Point was first opened to the public we visited and at that time her jewelry was temporarily on display in the home in a huge area with many glass cases before being sent to a museum (I believe in Newark, NJ?). The pieces were very large and certainly gorgeous. She was a tall woman and looking at her portraits, wore them so beautifully!😂The settings in some were very unique. Her portrait in the stairwell showed a magnificent choker and her mother’s choker was even more exquisite. Having been raised near her Somerville, NJ home, I find it sad that her home could not be saved and opened to the public. My friend’s grandmother worked in the home and my mother’s friend worked as a guide in her gardens. One of her friend’s homes in Newport, actually a cottage, had a wonderful collage of photos of Ms. on Duke display in a garage…very well done…not sure if it is still open?
Money casts a gilded facade over what was a sad, murderous and drug fueled life to which she was never held to any accountability. Truth is, she was not nice. She wasnt even exceptional. She just had money.
Be fair go. She did what the Rockefellers don't do. She has protected architecture and land marks from destruction and shared some of her money. Nobody is perfect especially when you just have to click your fingers and get what ever you wan you lose the sense of reality ask the Kardashian 😁
On September 1, 1947, while in Paris, Duke became the third wife of Porfirio Rubirosa. She reportedly paid his second wife, actress Danielle Darrieux, $1 million to agree to an uncontested divorce. During their marriage, Rubirosa dallied with his first ex-wife, Flor de Oro Trujillo Ledesma.

Never help a dictator.
She had some remarkable accomplishments, she lived her life the way she wanted to and that's admirable.

Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow very beautiful.
I would have liked more information about the type, size and weight of the gemstones used in the jewelry pieces.
Bravo and Well-Done !
Doris murdered her employee/long time friend Eduardo Tirella in 1966. She ran him down in her car.

That what all the millionaires in the wiirld should do
Why? Everyone can do with their money whatever they want. Don't tell others what to do

How right you are! A mean minded cruel person.

Another plantation owner that’s where they got their wealth. Enjoy the movie, but know the facts
