- This was the only train and crossing I got on December 19. That day, after I slept in for a lot, I decided to head out to Saundersville Road railroad crossing so I can try to re-record it. Since it would be a while before anything came, I decided to just go ahead and set up. It wouldn't be until an hour and a half later before something would eventually come, as after waiting that long, I finally got a southbound mixed freight going through here.
The major change at this crossing last time I recorded it is that the General Signals Type 1 E-Bell has sadly been replaced with an NEG E-Bell. I'm not sure how and why it got replaced, but it's most likely certain that maybe water somehow got into the bell, causing it to fry and die out, and having to be replaced. This now makes all three railroad crossings in Hendersonville, including this one, to have NEG E-Bells. Other than that, no other changes have occurred for the most part.
Crossing info:
Signal on the left: 2 Pairs of Safetran 12x24 lights, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gatelights.
Signal on the right: 2 Pairs of Safetran 12x24 lights, a Safetran gate mechanism, RECO LED gatelights, and an NEG E-Bell.

Saundersville Road
Hendersonville, Tennessee

CSX 954 - ES44AH
CSX 3295 - ET44AH (Mid DPU)

Nice to see incandescent lights still around!
Great video! RIP GS Type 1 e-bell here.
Great video! Sad the GS Type-1 was replaced here.
Also I saw this same train in Smiths Grove Kentucky around 12:39 PM today!
Nice crossing and catch! RIP GS type 1 bell!
What is the actual reason the bell got replaced?
@@DebraMcMillintheRailfannerandA most likely quit working
But how did it die
@@DebraMcMillintheRailfannerandA it probably either got water in the speaker or it died of older age!
Water in the bell? Ethan left in the description. I can think those are your best guesses.
Nice video!
