Let me explain something. SKILL and ATHLETICISM are two entirely different things. Skill means that a person has the ability to do one particular sport, or one particular thing because he 1) a practiced a whoooooole lot, and 2) he has a natural ability for it. Basketball players and footballers (futebol) have a tremendous amount of skill, honestly maybe the most "skill" out of almost any other sport in the world. But athleticism is totally different. It means that I may or may not have "skill" at all, but I have such tremendous physical (and mental) attributes that I can play almost anything. For example - his/her speed, agility, vertical jump, upper body strength, lower body strength, flexibility, grace, etc. is so great that he can succeed even if he doesn't have much practice or skill at any particular sport. American football players, for example, typically have a bit less skill than the average futebol striker or basketball point guard, but a lot more athleticism. They're usually bigger, stronger, faster, etc. You could make an argument that Ronaldo has as much or more skill than any American football player, but in athleticism however he would almost certainly be below average compared to most NFL wide receivers and cornerbacks. The most important thing in athleticism is speed, because speed makes you almost like a "ghost" on a field. No matter how much skill another player has, they simply cannot get anywhere close to you and can't catch you so they never get a chance to use their skill against you because you have great speed. Even C Ronaldo himself said that he would probably run about a 4.6 in the 40 yard dash. If you knew anything about American football you would know that this is actually quite slow. In the wide receivers and DB's in American football there would hardly be anybody that runs as slow as a 4.6. The simple fact is that short distance world class speed (30 to 40 meters) is REQUIRED to play many NFL positions, and it simply isn't required to play virtually any other sport in the world, besides track, which is why so many American football players are also track runners, and honestly C Ronaldo definitely does not have the speed to be a track runner. Honestly, I think C Ronaldo has the athleticism to play a position like "safety" in American football, but the position of safety in American football is definitely a little less athletic then wide receiver, cornerback, or running back on average.
If we compare Lebron and Ronaldo, Ronaldo is much faster and agile, being smaller. So he d do way better in tennis for instance. If u dont think Ronaldo would do good as an wide receiver, check out Odell Beckham Junior. 2 inches shorter and about the same weight . Speed is similar
