Love my Canon G7X for vlogging!
The best! 💯
Great vid Neal. Looking forward to see part 2. I want to change from my Nikon D3200 to next level. Really enjoy the way you shoot. Looking forward to learn more from you. Would be great to have more detailed review of the cameras that you use and maybe later how you use them👍🏻
Thank you so much for watching and I appreciate the encouragement and support! I'm glad I could help in any way and will definitely be chatting more about my gear and how I apply it towards specific projects/needs. And I just dropped Part 2 of this video if you're interested and want to check it out!
Very good video. How often to you use 4K on the 1DX II and how much you've invested in memory cards?
In the new Canon cameras, I really like that they give the option of using more compressed codecs. Cheers.
Thank you so much for watching! And that's a great question, I'd say I shoot on 4K 24fps for all of my sit-down in-studio videos on this channel. I think the only time I resort to 1080 24fps is when I'm in a rush to put content out (on my channel) which happens from time to time. 4K files sizes can be massive, and uploading and rendering them out in post can take hours depending on the amount of footage. So lots of memory cards with lots of space (and external hard drives) are my new best friends. haha, I've probably got 2 SanDisk CF 64GB cards, 2 SanDisk CF 128GB cards, and 4 SanDisk CFast 2.0 64GB cards that I keep in rotation and on me while I travel. They likely are more than I need on a given shoot day and I almost never use them all for one sit-down video over a 1-2hr period, but it's always good to have back-up. I usually quickly dump all of my footage onto hard drive after recording and sometimes in-between recording to keep my memory cards clean and empty. I hope that helps!
@@NealJolly Yes it does, thanks again for the detailed explanation. Cheers!
@@NealJolly Hello! Your videos are sooo clean, well done! And I am wondering what pc do you use for all of your 4k video editing?
great videos bro , why didnt u decide on the EOS R ?
Appreciate you watching and stopping by the channel man! And thank you for your kind words and your question. Around the time the EOS R dropped, I was already a couple years into owning and committing to the 1DX Mark II. It's a camera body I don't have any personal hands-on experience with but have heard nothing but great things. Did you pick up an EOS R and if so, how do you like it? Thanks again!
Neal Jolly thank you for replying...I ended up getting a a7iii ..I really wanted a 1Dxii but not in my price range
