Kwad Daddy appendix Glock, 8o’ clock SW. I take the Glock when I leave the house, unless I’m running. I use a comfort tac for the 642 and a leather/kydex for the Glock I carry a spare 13 round mag with me too in a pocket.
I also own BOTH of these hand guns... The Airweight 442 version however. Both have pinky extensions on them which IMO are required so that you can correct control them. I will say this: The Airweight is FAR FAR lighter and much much easier to conceal and carry if you're doing it all day long every day. The huge downside is half the ammo and the 442 kicks like a mule and I don't even use +P rounds! It kicks so much that after about 30 rounds at the range I'm done with it as my hand hurts. Overall the Glock is my choice and the 442 is my wifes choice.
Put the wilson combat spring kit in my 642 i also have a 27,36,19,22,42,but the 642 and 19 is what i carry the most depends what i am doing ,my 642 with the spring kit and a hogue tamer grip is one of the best set ups i ever had its light accurate for it's intended purpose.
Haha I liked you comment about going into the hood with your Glock 22. I have a gen 3 Glock 22 and love it. It’s my woods gun and I load underwood extreme penetrators. Anyway, nice comparison, found your channel looking at the S&W 642.
36 is a great carry gun. I had heard that when they first came out there were some problems with them but never had an issue with mine. the length and width is about the same as the 23 is is just slimmer. For size, weight, and similar ballistics, wouldn't Glock 26 be a closer match to the S&W 642?
Yeah the G26 and G27 are pretty much the same dementions but the G26's 9mm is a little closer to the 38 special.
Nice comparison between the 642 and the G27. I own and carry both weapons and I am confident that each will go "bang" when I pull the trigger.

What about felt recoil between the 2?

My favorite carry guns are the G23 and G36 but being summertime now and wearing lighter clothes I have been carrying the 642 a lot.

Thanks, Glock 22 I own is the RTF2. G22 is indeed a great woods gun. 642 makes for a great CCW.
G27 also has better trigger and upgrade/custom options
I own both but like the 27 more
Both are great handguns. My favorite carry gun is the G23 but I end up carrying either the G27 or the 642 in the summer. G36 is my original carry gun.

Not bad. I would agree with a lot of other people and say the .45 ACP recoil is not as bad as the .40 s&w. Especially when using stronger carry loads.
Glock 26 gen 3 in the summer and my 19 or 23 winter. My G30 & G21 collect dust now lol
