    I personally watch this lesson from Osaka, Japan.
    I am a Born Again Chritian, and my father who went to be with the Lord in 2001 was a pastor of a consevative Evangwlical church till then.
    He graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary after he became a Born Again Christian while he was studying in America.
    ーーーー
    I really appreciate for this specific ministry and well-balanced theology and doctrine.

    I believe in people doing a dedication to raise their child in Christ. But the child has to later believe in Jesus Christ to be saved..

    I was saved by faith in 1976, but resisted being baptized for four years. When I finally accepted the encouragement to be baptized in Lake Michigan in 1980, as a statement of salvation in Christ, it turned out to be an amazing and memorable experience. If you feeling reluctant to publicly proclaim what Christ has done for you, even if it’s been many years since you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, don’t hesitate to joyfully declare it! Do it for Christ, do it for your family, do it for the Church, and do it for the world to see.

    Theology made so simple... that was a powerful teaching on one of the most complicated problems in the church today. I will be watching this over and over, it was that rich.

    Greatful for churches that will do sermons on a book as we have such an abundance of topic based sermons, this is more encouraging to get out of your head and problems when your going through a bit and feels like a refocus on the Word and God’s plan

    Is "have faith" and "believe" the same as it appears. Interchangeable? "Saved" and "baptized" also seem same (I'll listen again...)

    • @rubyquail
      @rubyquail 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ok, so, I sort of get it now. Baptism is like public graduation, not the diploma or education itself. you require the faith (education or knowledge) to get the diploma first but you don't have to be baptized

    What is your view on a believer that comes to Christ in adulthood, but was baptized as an infant? I have a strong urge that I need to be baptized, but the pastor at the Methodist church I attend said he cannot “re-baptize” me because it would mean that the work God did at my original “baptism” wasn’t good enough. The problem is, I’m starting to think what some denominations call “baptism” should really be called a dedication or something else. How can it be a baptism if it happened before I was saved? Isn’t baptism an act a believer chooses to do of their own free will to show their commitment and belonging to the body of Christ? Just because you call a rose a tulip doesn’t make it a tulip. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m open to correction on my view if I have it wrong. Thanks!

      Think about it as the bible quotes the ethiopian eunuch...He believed and was baptized...so this is a public declaration you willingly do.i would suggest you reasses..as an infant..was it a personal decision or coz it was tradition?did u believe in christ then and openly make a public declaration?May God open you spiritual eyes and mind to this

      Yes, on the day of Pentecost, Peter said REPENT, BELIEVE on Messiah Jesus and be baptized into Him. Earlier Jewish believers actually baptized themselves. Infants have no ability to repent and turn from sin (what sin?) and believe.

    Blatant lie at 29:35. It seems as though I was the only one who took Skip up on his challenge to 'fact check' his assertion: the Catholic Church has never repudiated St. Christopher, nor have they stated he did not exist. What Skip is most likely alluding to is the 1969 revision of the Roman Calendar, in which a vast number of Saint's Feast Days were removed for a more streamlined universal calendar.
