That's an array defined with 5 elements (a pentatonic major scale in semitones: 0 2 4 7 9: c d e g a, I think... or wherever the MIDI notes starts). I use two phasors like LFOs mapping them to a step in the scale (* 5) and an octave (x * 12). I hope it is more clear now. Thanks for your interest!

What is - array define penta 5? I can't make an object out of that.
That's an array with midi notes data. Probably you're trying with an older pd version. Anyway, you can replace it, put an expr instead of a tabread...
