Thank you for walking through an example of how an HPI should be written out. I can see how this can be tricky because you want to make sure you include everything in the correct order while also listening to what the patient is saying. I had to slow the video down when I followed along because it took me a minute to get the hang of it.
Thank you! Great video for those starting out. It takes practice, practice, PRACTICE . HPIs are daunting at first , but after awhile you get the swing of it. So grateful and appreciative of all your free and accessible MedEd content. It has helped me tremendously as a scribe . Looking forward to upcoming content.
I'm obsessed with your channel name👀 You nailed it--PRACTICE is the key. I'm thrilled the content has helped you with scribing! If there is specific content you would like to see, please let me know. See to next Sunday🙌
Thanks so much for this video; I appreciated that you listed out of the elements of an HPI very clearly and concisely. Excited to learn more of the specifics of medical scribing!
This weeks video was really interesting. It looks so different on paper. I feel like it will be difficult for me to determine what to leave out in the HPI or how to include everything possible. Thank you for the video of explanation!!
I thought this video was super helpful. I liked the template that was used as it was informative but not extremely long. It got to the point quickly and seemed to get an accurate idea of what the patient is experiencing.
Im from Philippines. I have been planning to apply for Medical Virtual Assistant until I will purchase my own laptop! Thank you so much for your very informative, helpful videos❤️ more learning videos❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for the great video. I have always wondered how the information at the beginning of an appointment gets recorded, but this gave me a lot more insight.
Thank you for the very informative video! Writing out HPIs can possibly be tricky starting out, but with practice, you definitely can become better at it; I know that from experience.
Hi kelly. I found this a useful tool to use with my students. However, I recommend using the patient's words in quotes for the CC vs a medical diagnosis.
Thank you so much for this week's video! Its so helpful to see a template, have it explained, and listen to an example of it. I am nervous for what happens if I miss information. Will I have time after to consult the doctor and make adjustments to my HPI?

Hi kelly. I found this a useful tool to use with my students. However, I recommend using the patient's words in quotes for the CC vs a medical diagnosis.
I’m with you. Patient’s words should always be in CC, not medical diagnosis. Sorry that wasn’t clear!
Thanks for the video! This was a great explanation of how to write and HPI and I am excited to practice writing them more in the future.

Hi, Kelli will you be making more videos?
Yes! More will be publishing next week. Thanks for watching and let me know what topics would be most helpful for
you🤗
What is the best way to edit the HPI for follow up & ongoing visits?
Really helpful content. Can you also help with a newbie walkthrough on how to do a SOAP scribe, please? Thank you!
Hey Mark! Absolutely. I'll make an entire video on this by the end of the month.
What other information would be helpful?
Hello, @@ScribeAcademy 😇 Also a "phone call" example (handling/etiquette) when a medical scribe would accommodate someone. Thanks again!
That template seems very helpful! Would you suggest memorizing it or a version of it?
We will cover using SmartPhrases later in the course. This tool allows you to drop the template in whenever you need it-no memorizing needed!
I am currently a trainee and i am vert bad at English. Do u think i can do it?
You can do anything with enough practice and quality training. Keep working hard on your skills! You got this!
@@ScribeAcademy thanks Kelly ❤️
