That does seem to be the case, I've not found many places that hold carp or tench up here. Glad you liked the video! Stay alert, as the next one will be out very soon 🙌
Nice to see you back mate Nice session on the secret Scottish pond there seems to be an abundance of fish in there r u based in Scotland now rather than London I'll be waiting for yr next one forgive me if I don't view straight away as I work long hours and only get time on weekends to catch up 🎣👊💯
I'll be back...looking foward to casting coming over the horizon. So how did you find the Scots..less uptight about the fishing it seems... Interesting strain of carp there. Seems to be a v shallow water the way they fought...
After reading previous comments it looks like you weren't the only one 😆 but have no fear for I am here! Thank you, and I'm glad to see you're still here! 🫵
Plenty of Scottish tench in the canals through Glasgow and Edinburgh, the canals connect so lots of room for the fish to move around. Also some Monstrously large pike and very big perch…
This wouldn't be the right place for that as they're old and scarce, besides it being prohibited haha and I doubt they would ever have a pleasant taste coming from that pond anyway. Although I have been told similar things about carp caught in other countries where they're eaten! Where have you tried it?
@@theHorizonLiner Romania, homeland of the carp. As long as that pond isn't full of sewage, it's going to be a nice tasting fish. If you ever have the chance, try some that's less than 3kg. Over that they get quite fatty, and they're better grilled.
New territory indeed 🏴 and now more than ever before Andy, good to see you still here 🙌 likewise I hope you've been maintaining your collection of vintage "instruments" in optimal condition, should you ever need to put any of them to use again 👌
Never seen wild carp down here in Texas since they are naturalized or stocked. Very cool!
This is class once again 👏.
Welcome back.
Thank you! If you think this one's class you're definitely going to like the video coming out next week 🙌
Nice to see you back on the channel again, tight lines!!!

Nice work, not many places up here that have coarse fish. Cracking video.

You'd be surprised! And this pond is well known for having a few carp, but we have a huge amount of wild venues to choose from

Interesting. I know of a location not far from Glasgow where you might find carp and tench, but not a pond.
Canal?
Plenty of Scottish tench in the canals through Glasgow and Edinburgh, the canals connect so lots of room for the fish to move around. Also some Monstrously large pike and very big perch…
Could you eat them though? Aren't the canals bogging?
@@stephenmurray2851 a wouldn’t eat them🤢 but the canals got cleaned up decades ago, probs back to manky again tbf😂
@@Jammydodger68 I've always wanted to learn to fish. Are there places you can go, fish and keep and eat?
@@stephenmurray2851of coarse mate get a river permit for your local river and you will get some of the freshest fish you can ask for
A rare mix of coarse fish for a Scottish pond, youre right to keep it secret.
Look forward to seeing how you got on elsewhere.
It does seem like it, the place took some searching to find, and a bit of chance as well!
Hi, I remember you found a Zander in London but have you ever heard about it in Scotland?? Cheers 👍
What is the place called?
Would be great if you could take one. Wild carp is really, really good eating. It has a sweet kind of meet.
