Maravilhoso!!! Emocionante!!!

Thank you for sharing your wonderful documentary. How can I get closed captioning in English?

    • @TerritoriodoBrincar

Hi Susan, thanks for reaching out. Miradas doesn't have closed captioning yet. There might be an option on TH-cam that does a rough translation. We do have this more recent film with English subtitles about research we did during the first year of the Pandemic: th-cam.com/video/unFFUHG1oJ0/w-d-xo.html, and next week we'll be releasing our second film about play during the pandemic- 2021-2022.

@@TerritoriodoBrincar Wonderful! I greatly appreciate you sharing the link to the Play at Home film. I had the pleasure of meeting Renata Meirelles and David Reeks at a Play Conference where I attended a viewing of their documentary film, Territory of Play. At the International Play Conference 5 years ago in Alberta Canada, I met Renata again. There she gave me a copy of the Territory of Play documentary. I have admired and respected their informative work of documenting children's play across Brazil, and have tried to follow their work since that time. I am an early childhood teacher educator at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, and wish permission to use the Play at Home film in my classes to show my students examples of the vital importance of play in the lives of children and families. I wish permission also to share the Play at Home film with my colleagues in Early Childhood Care and Education programs. Be assured I will give credit to David and Renata for this important documentation. Please extend my regards to Renata. Sincerely, Sue Schlembach, Assistant Professor, Education, University of Cincinnati.

Hi Susan, (David here), Thank you for getting back to us again and for your kind words. We are honored to hear you would like to use the Play at Home film in your classes and with your colleagues, and you can certainly use them. We'd love to hear any feedback you get from them! Let me know if you need a downloadable copy and I can help. Also, the translation of our latest film "Free Play: from inside - out" is on my "to do" list. So we'll let you know.

@@TerritoriodoBrincar Thank you David. I believe I can access what I need from TH-cam. The Miradas video is something a I hope to share with early childhood faculty and researchers in the near future. I plan to share the Play At Home video with my education students. Any chance there is an overview or summary of your documentary work available in English? I look forward to hearing and seeing more of your informative work! Kind regards, Sue

@@susanschlembach3866 Hi Susan, David here again. I hope all is well. I'm pleased to inform that we finally have the English subtitles for this film, "Miradas." You should be able to access them on this same link. To boot, we also were able to get the subtitles finished for our latest film, "Free Play: from Inside Out." : ( th-cam.com/video/2566_EKL37U/w-d-xo.html ), we just released it in July.
Another film that you might want to watch is "Free Play in Brazilian Waldorf Kindergartens" (vimeo.com/345702836)- In making the film, Renata and I were moved by the scope of their vision and promotion of free play.
Concering your request for a catalog with what we have in English... we're working on it and hope to get back to you soon!
