    Being able to mark using stick fonts (and presumably single line segments) is really useful for manufacturing

      It's such a polar opposite way of making a video to what I've been used to for several years now! I've been strictly following a written script for so long now and then editing out or starting again if I hit a snag, but with these videos hitting a snag is par for the friggin' course!

    There use to be great YT channel with Inventor tutorials called TFF or something... shame it's gone... you could clearly use some of it's knowledge... 😁

    Thanks! Working with Inventor since 2004 and I learned something by watching your video. I hadn't realised that fonts had to have a certain style when choosing the 'Mark trough' feature.

    Love this feature, we use it at work all the time to locate welded items. Huge upgrade to 'copy sketch to flat pattern' method

    Is there a way to do a single-line laser cut in a flat pattern? On thin metal or parts that would be difficult to bend on a press brake, we sometimes do a single-line laser cut with a couple bits left attached and then bend the part by hand. To accomplish this in our models, we have been doing really thin slots on the bend lines in the flat pattern, but our laser programmers are having to manually edit what they import from inventor to turn them into a single-line cut, if they don't the laser goes down both sides of the slot and makes a complete mess of things. I would love something that I could implement on the model design side that would fully automate it on the laser guys' side. Thanks.

    Can we have a general tutorial on templates, from sheet metal, frame generator and content center

    • @Neil3D
      @Neil3D  ปีที่แล้ว

      Well frame gen and content center are pretty much one and the same in terms of data, and don't really have templates, they're table driven files which I suppose you could call the table a template. Unless you mean styles? I couldn't do all that in 1 video it would be too long, but if you can let me know what areas within that you would want to see talked about and I'll see if it can be worked into something.
