Where do you find yourselves without power and in need of a portable threader? Mine is fixed in my trailer and I always find a place to plug in. I was interested in using a manual threader to cut and thread in place but this is way too large.
I've never seen anyone chamfer the outside of the pipe before threading. Do you find it starts the threads easier? Once in a while my threader just spins and won't start to bite when starting. Is that why you pre-chamfer?
It will thread SCH 40 2" pipe with a O.D. of 2-3/8" but BEWARE, OUR THREADER CASING BROKE WHILE THREADING 2" PIPE AND MILWAUKEE WOULD NOT FIX IT FOR FREE UNDER WARRANTY. THEY CLAIMED WE DAMAGED THE TOOL BY HITTING THE CASE WITH EXCESSIVE BLUNT FORCE. BULLSHIT!! WE WERE JUST THREADING 2" PIPE AND THE CASE BROKE. MILWAUKEE SAID THEY WOULD REPAIR THE TOOL FOR JUST UNDER $900!
@@MaggioRacinginc It will thread 2" but the case on our tool broke and Milwaukee wanted almost $900 to fix it. We don't use the tool to thread 2" pipe very often but we did successfully cut at least two dozen 2" threads before the case shattered and the gearing inside was exposed! We sent it to Milwaukee and they said it still works fine so I told them to send it back to me and I'm going to attempt to JB Weld the case back together and reserve threading 2" pipe to our corded Rigid 700 power pony.
Company bought milwaukee for sprinkler pipe threading unfortunately performance wasn't good. Returned it and bought dewalt one. No complaints on it so far. To each their own
They make an awesome pipe stand too that folds up like a briefcase
Good video Eric! Thanks for the overview!

How many pipes can you thread with 1 can of spray oil?
Where are the demos on 1-1/4" and up?

Bought the 28” box. How did you get the threader in it?
