Honestly, I should've also brought up that "Zahard trapped himself in there" could just be a reveal that the Zahard clones are actual clones. The clones *are* Zahard, rather than just children.
Dang, we walked away from this chapter so differently. I feel like SIU has been on his A-game when it comes to writing: the characterization of Gustang and Traumerei, Enkidu and Amizu’s story, the sheer amount of foreshadowing with the Red Light District, and tragedy of Enne, Blossom, and Gustang (even just this chapter with the number of one-liners that so beautifully pain this), it’s at least boosted my confidence in where SIU is taking all of this. I’d currently say we’re not at the level of Dallar Show or Workshop Battle, but we’re leagues above most of Season 3 and the ending of Season 2. The only main criticism I have lately is the pacing and the lack of POV swapping. Also I don’t know where we go after all this, I don’t envy SIU in that regard at all lol, but that doesn’t mean he can’t pull it off.
There is a theory that the blossom burning down the kingdom is the scenario in the manhwa from blogpost where siu said she can accelerate and kill everyone in the floor.he has been changing ton of things from the blogpost so who knows.
I see this lore reveal not as background fluff but actually getting us back on track. It serves not as retreading GW backstory, but rather fills us in on who the Revs are as the third party in the current war, what the Apple Watch of doom is a key to, and seeds ideas of how the watch could be a key to defeating Zahard like Data Z promised. If this memory was just Blossom’s crash out and Traum’s war crime of the week, I’d agree, but they were setup for the dumpster and its relevance to current and endgame ToG.
What the hell? One single line, just a few words, and it revealed years of lore building all at once. This is what I said when I said I can no longer predict where SIU is going. We all had our theories, we were right on some things, like Enne rebelling instead of going crazy, but I doubt anyone guessed the main part. I am not going to lie and say I didn't get my mind blown. Of course, this answers a lot of questions, but raises a lot as well. Why did Blossom go on a rampage? She did regret it afterwards, but why? Her life seems to be a tragedy over and over. They lost their memories, and Gustang was not sure what Enne was talking about, but even without memories, I can't imagine Blossom forgiving Zahard for Enne. I have a feeling that when she finally enters the picture, she will not ally with Zahard Empire. It also goes into why she sleeps so much in my opinion, it's her way to "avoid memories", just like Traumerei fed them to Leviathan and Eduan drank them away. Also, I totally agree with the theory you have about Zahard pulling himself apart. I kinda mentioned something similar, in chapter 602 about bosses, and this feels like it is becoming more likely. After all, what purpose does a King have for compassion? Guile and vengeance? Ambition? He is the King, that's how he describes himself, and anything he does is law, justice and outright divine now. But I don't think Zahard put away all those emotions in the form of Zahard clones, nope. He put the emotions away in a similar way Gustang did with his memories and history. But the garbage dump seems to be an uncomprehendable mess full of powerful forces, energies, entities being born and dying constantly, something akin to the Floor of Death, but much more vicious, much more overloaded and chaotic. And so, the aspects (clones) of Zahard got born, impure, each with a mark on their face, showing that they are not the real thing. Wangnan got compassion. Karaka got guile and vengeance. The Bosses might be a mix of ambition and curiosity. Data Zahard was surprised at how different the outside Zahard was. How much he changed. This would make Zahard even more dangerous than I thought. While parts of him live in Zahard clones, I don't think they can be absorbed by Zahard, while they might've spawned directly from Zahard, they are their own separate entities. And just like that, a Zahard that is literally nothing else than a King can't be reasoned with. Good luck trying to change his decision, as he will always be the one with the truth on his side in his mind. And why would he make any compromises? For fun like Traumerei? He can show the vermin suffering right away. This is probably worth mentioning as well, while the garbage dump seems to perfectly align with the Red Light Disctrict, there is a good possibility it is NOT the Red Light District. And the reason is really simple - the key (fitbit). I can only imagine that Zahard made absolute sure that there would be no way of getting out of or into the dump after it got sealed, seeing as he was going to literally put a part of himself in there. And since we found the fitbit where it was meant to be, and there is no reason to believe it ever left the data world, I think the dump is still very much locked, or at least was until Gustang got the fitbit. It probably never opened once. (if Zahard doesn't dump stuff there regularly somehow) So the question is - how did Zahard clones get out of the dump? How did someone like Bellerire get out of there? I have several ideas. The Dump is not the Red Light District, and the enormous power of Zahard just seeped through the space and spawned Zahard clones outside, leading to creation of the Red Light District. (Idk what to do with Bellerire tbh., he might've just got there somehow but not fro the Dump) Or, the Red Light District is a part of the Dump, but it is the highest "floor" of the Dump, a viable place for living creatures inside the Dump, this would require someone who had access to the Dump. Either by being so powerful that he can bypass the seal (I can't think of anyone on a lower level than an administrator or Enryu.), or, the fitbit from data world is simply a fake. Gustang could certainly have his hands in this, as he gave Rachel a fake fitbit already. But it could very well be someone else. Either way, it seems that Zahard clones became active all throughout the history, with Wangnan being pretty recent. It would be hard for them to just get away from there one by one. Also, the Dump seems like something that the FHs would want to keep a secret whatever it takes, but the Red Light District is not that big of a secret. The timing is also unclear, it seems like this could be before the V war, it feels that way, but it could very well be after, since they erased V and Arlene from history. And so the question is, did all the FHs go along with the Dump? Was Gustang the only one who was against it? Questions, questions! Not to mention that the entire idea of the Dump opens the door for new Blue Holes, entities with spells and maybe some renegade guides and abominations of pure violent energy of the space. Sound like a nice cauldron to make yourself an artificial administrator! lol. Thanks for the video, always appreciated, and Hugo rocks!
I'm sure SIU will get back to the main story. The problem is waiting. We have to wait weeks and weeks to make any progress in the story while in the tog verse, not even a day has passed. Family head battle and the whole affair seems to be thrown out of nowhere but it's all happening because of Bam. I don't think the garbage dump or red light district is something SIU came up with now. Remember SIU already has thought of the whole story before even starting out. Sure there are some changes in the scenarios, characters but the majority of it will remain the same i think.
Wagnan in a teaser before the season 2 was in a garbage and watching sky . This was his first appearancence in 2012 They are not patient and this showing it.
The En El stuff is be nitt picking, the tower people think she go mad, Gram think she learned the thrue of the princess system, but the people on the top have the real facts, even that's is questionable when the rewrite their memories
Imo he do not like the story, like he say the season 2 was perfect ... All stories have flaw (sometimes story need to slowdown and finish other old subplots that continue to expand them without finish them) Like the V stuff come from hidden floor The red trash can come from the beginning of season 2 with Wagnan being in trash and laughing (we had no response why he was here) He would'nt survive to big book like lotr, asoiaf, ect opening same amout of subplot like tog with worse time rate)
I remember about 2 months ago when I read this chapter that I was happy we finally got some reveals built on stuff we've know about. The Red Light District was something introduced a looong time ago, the bracelet's use was unknown until now, it was so good to finally build some lore on things we've known about... but I've never noticed any inconsistencies with stuff from this chapter, but I definitely don't know the story as well as you do 😅 While it's so cool to get lore reveals, they kinda came out of nowhere. I think it would have been better to slowly build up these reveals, with small clues here and there, instead of just dumping them all of a sudden. I feel like lately ToG doesn't focus enough on its lore, for a series with such a deep and complex lore :c
Seem peoples here will never like tog again ( siu can anything they will not like it so ) For your question : you had many hint in older arc like season 3 eg like you had hint from revolution stuff and yole since season 3 beginning with him talking of several boss then again in cage arc where a fug member talked about how strange somes peoples are moving behind without them being capable to search them Like all this was in cage arc then you had again hint in wall of peace and even nest. Like do not see what he can do anymore Whole arc is build up of old stuff of the season 2 You had many lore thing on icarus, wall of peace, political problem with Zahard and fh, flower nation ,guide , user, ancient stuff ....
@@deusex17kkfkdklsl19 Yeah, tbf you do have a point, we've had plenty of lore info, I'm just stupid and didn't think of those, lmao. And tbf, we've had info of the Red Light District from S2, we don't need to be reminded of that every 20 chapters for a big info dump to work. But idk, I can't really put my finger on it, but something about the recent lore doesn't sit right with me, maybe it's because I don't remember well early S3, I might need to reread it. But yeah, idk about other people, but I could definitely fall in love with ToG again if the story starts again focusing more on the characters instead of the fights they're having. Almost every time there is a chapter with no fighting I really enjoy it! Like this chapter for example, I was really happy with it when I've first read it :D
