Yūki Ishikawa (石川祐希, Ishikawa Yūki, born 11 December 1995) is a Japanese male professional volleyball player from Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture.
Ishikawa is the first volleyball player to have a wax figure in Japan.[1] Currently, his wax figure is displayed at Madame Tussauds Tokyo.[2]
Ishikawa was named "Best Outside Spiker" award at the FIVB World Cup (2015, 2019), Asian Championship (2017, 2019, 2021), as well as "Most Valuable Player" award at the Asian Championship (2017).
As of April 2021, Ishikawa is the captain of the Japan men's national volleyball team, and plays as an outside hitter. He currently plays in the Italian Volleyball League for Allianz Milano.
Ran Takahashi (髙橋 藍 or たかはしらん, Takahashi Ran, born 2 September 2001) is a Japanese male volleyball player and an Olympian. He plays as an Outside Hitter for Nippon Sport Science University's club,[1] Japan men's national volleyball team and Pallavolo Padova.
On November 29, it was reported that Ran would play in the Italian Volleyball League Division 1 with Pallavolo Padova.[14] He flew to Italy on December 10 and his jersey number is 14, the same as Yūki Ishikawa's when he played with Padova.
On December 19, he debuted in the highest Italian league as a substitute in the third set against Modena Volley.[15] [16]
Pallavolo Padova announced that Ran has renewed his contract with the club for Season 2022-2023.[17] He was nominated MVP of the match against Valsa Group Modena for the first time in Italian league.

ishikawa was ran's idol growing up that's why he got same no. 14 and the way he serve as well. seeing them battle it out is just awesome
I think they got the same serving technique because ishikawa's coach in college went to coach a high school, and Takahashi joined that high school team a few years later
Especially it's fun to see a different side of Ishikawa in Serie A that we can't see in the Japanese team.
He's more relax and playful when he's with his club mates, that i noticed too

@@tsukidaisukii4881 he's already in pain in the later part of 2nd set but still continued play and out in the last 2 pts in 3rd set and didn't came back in 4th set,so far he's wearing ankle support on both ankles.
Italian media said he had cramps and their physiotherapist opted not to field him in anymore.

@@tommi3761 WOW...If I was Ran, I wouldn't come back to a team that didn't believe in me as a hitter...Fcuk that coach. He probably regretted his decision after seeing how great Ran played in the Olympics and the VNL. I would have dropped that team and go somewhere else where I am valued as a hitter.
@@zackd2852 why? He went to Padova to improve, knowing that the SuperLega is the strongest club competition… he came in November of last year (so with the league already started) in a struggling team with two NT OH, he improved a lot as an hitter and as a receiver (playing as libero helped him) and this year the coaching staff believed in him and gave him the starting position, rightfully so. Even Yuki, who was better than Ran at his age, played libero for 1/2 years in Italy.
@@tommi3761 wrong info YUKI played once or few matches as libero coz their main libero was injured but he debut in superlega as outside hitter in a high rank team MODENA....btw ran arrived in PADOVA last year December not November and that time PADOVA still doing well (top 8 in rank),they just struggling in 2nd half of the season mostly started in January.

6 players of MILANO in double digits,all gunners are on fire, setter have a lot of options... while PADOVA struggling in all aspects.
