Hi Dereck,First of all i like this sweater and the Magma t-shirt was also very, very cool.I Was also waiting for you to purchase the Can.I`ve got that album as the rest of these magnificant series on cd.You inspire and i like to see that you so organised and thoughtful.Very recognisible! This morning i surprised myself with the Eno compilation/soundtrack and it got 3 exclusive tracks on and a few i didn`t already owned on any other format.Thank you for posting this past year and i hope you have a great weekend!
Ive been listening here for a year. What a year of music. I'd love to see a performance by you where I need a ticket. I'll drive there to Omaha. I hope you play some gigs!
Merry Christmas Dereck. I have a friend who’s getting into record collecting so I took him record shopping today. He picked up some ELO, Chicago, and Yes. I myself picked up Soft Machine -Fifth, Triumvirat - Double Dimple, Patrick Gleeson’s Star Wars, and Apollo Atmospheres and Soundtracks by Eno. Always feels good to find some heat. Have a great rest of your year!
🙂 So happy that the gifts we're accepted in the way they we're intended. ☮ This is probably a dumb question (because you probably have heard of and most likely own) but do you have any Pino Palladino or any stories about him?
Yacht Rock and Vaporwave are nonsense labels. They don't take the individual skills of the artists, or the quality of composition into account. Its a dumbing down of music appreciation.
Thanks for reminding me of Jan Steel. Dont have the one you showed but found a copy of Jan Steel and John Cage back when it was released. Caught my eye because recognized the Obscure label. We were driving to Northern CA and stopped at a small record store in the middle of the forest. Not sure where but it was but near Humboldt. Also talked the owner to selling me the Patti Smith Horses poster off the wall. Lucky day. Well look for the one you showed. Also saving up for home repairs. 100 yr old house n so much to do. Always something. While you were speaking the song All Day popped into my head. Even before you mentioned it, beautiful tune.
Hi Dereck i know i'm late but merry christmas. Happy that you could some new records. I wanted to ask you...i know you talked about nurse with wound, hafler trio and nocturnal emissions in older videos...but what's your opinion on their "competitors" or "rivals" like Strafe für Rebelión, Lustmord, Etant Donnes, Cranioclast and Zoviet France...?
That sweater looks smooth. Cheers Dereck!
Olivia Block is one of my contemporary favorites. I got to meet her at the No Response Festival in Cinci as well as watch her perform.
You are looking very handsome in that beautiful sweater.
I just bought my copy of HEAR. Merry Christmas, Mr. Higgins!
Day 3 of 12
Merry Christmas, Sean.
How cool are those Peter Gabriel albums. Brilliant.

I don't much listen these days but I still have all of those artists in my collection. I respect what they've done and do.
