- Morocco's cities always have two sides - while the tourist areas shine, the city just a few meters away looks completely different. Fun fact: The smallest donation for the grand Mosque was 5DH (less than 50 cent)
On the way inland I mostly rode on gravel roads, which meant I made quite slow progress. However, the advantage was that I could drive through the construction sites :'D In other countries, the roads would have been closed so that the workers could work in peace. Here, nobody cares if you just drive through.
The animals (especially cats and dogs) don't have the best life here. :( I will reduce the cat content now, I promise... especially because it was much worse in Fès...

It is heart breaking to see animals in need, it was lovely of you to stop and look after the little one. As I watch this my rescue dog is sleeping next to me, snoring, and I love him.
@@davidz8 a Lucky one :) later in Fes it was even worse :( many kitten were almost dead.. it's really hard to see that.
You are making me realised how much I love Morocco, I will return this Autumn. Like you I find differences between cities fascinating. Compare Rabat and its modernity with Fez and its ancient Medinas for example.

It is so hard to leave animals that appear to be in such bad situations. All you can do really is what you did...feed them and hope that it helps them have a bit better chance of being ok.
Yeah :/ there are simply too many to do anything else
I like the scripts with bits of information that you put in the video. Seeing the animals there is so sad. I have to skip past those parts.
