I got into PTR in frontier and now these units today are good but this was obviously recorded yesterday today these units T5 and T4 are a bit broken both in terms of unit making and damage
I think people tend to forget that this is in PTR, yolo cavs and monks were also like this before getting their buff on live server and decimated everything
that's what worries me whenever they make a unit underpowered they tend to overpower them and never go back on it leading to much salt over yanyedao and how long it took them to deal with their overpowered nature

new javes can charge their throws? does seem lackluster unless the intent of the charge is actually to better time the throw, like so the javes land just as the enemy passes through the target area. were the units tested at full mastery/veterancy?
I think other people have pointed it out, but the tier 4 & 5 units just aren't finished. The devs are probably banking on having more time to work on them before they release to the live server.
Guys as was said before, this is PTR. For example, in season 8 there should be 2 4 star units- modao and greyhair and shenji should be 5 star, but booming somehow fckd up. Shenji grenades could one-shot any unit in the game (in dev testing) thus they where delayed and released in 9
I think the tier 5 could be really fun if it ignore shields, with the theme of elite rapiers guards i think they should : - Make their basic attacks bypass shield on their attacks, they should not do crazy damage per attack for balance. This will be a passive thing only applicable to ability 1. - Then their 1 ability the trust will be a more damaging basic attack, ( or instead this special basic attack will do true damage) - Their 2 ability could be a stun, it looks like already does but does not feel impactful enough?, so it should do a 1 or 1,5 stun, and it will deplete all guard of a shield unit or after the stun a shield unit takes longer to recover their block. For stats i dont know, will need to test after this changes.
They need to have a cover commander where you can stack the 2 and 1 abilities with the cover commander. But they seem like such a boring unit as of right now with no special mechanics to speak of.

Maybe if you give them cover commander with the ideas i proposed it will be more fun, i just think their rapier theme looks something to do with ignore armour and shields.
I believe they are going to do a charge up for the t4 javelin like they did to berserkers, and once it reaches full capacity, it would do crazy amount of damage, and literally stun the units for a amount of time ignoring shields as well. A perfect amount would be 1.5 seconds for the stun. 2.5 seconds would be too much. I can imagine losing my men at arms for 2.5 stun. But 1.5 likely, and likely not. They should have 3 points of charge up after each time they melee attack, or they block, or literally if they just throw around javs. Makes them viable in every scenario. Regardless we got too many javs around. They should make those one's more unique.
PTR units are usually underpowered, when it's actual playtime, they become OP. I won't be surprised if t5 rapiers start jumping around shield units like hashashins n stabbing them ass from behind
yeah we really needed another charging chavalry used still in urban setting and still being effective and giving them 3 charge at on button press, and the infantry units that could have reduced the amount of people using Men at arms (lower costs) and bringing 2 more 5stars units no.
The Shield Jav most likely is gonna be useless as Roman Retiarii who want to do everything but bad at everything. I think man-at-arms is gonna be nerf like shieldmaiden to make the new 5 star infantry look good in new season
and I really hope that new units stay not overpowered and wont destroy ballance AGAIN, like every new units do. I love playing my old units. I know that for the most people playing something they already leveled is boring and they need NEW...NEW...NEEEEEW!!!! a need new because I'm bored and I lack motivation for playing. Mace Sergeants are OP to be honest. First unit you get and i'm still using them. Ravages through the enemy. And if they do die (wich is pretty uncommon) i'll charge in with my men at arms
The queen's guard are like expensive azaps- 60 more leadership and just as shitty. What awful units. I feel like they will buff them and they will become good like zweihanders- not stupidly op, just good.
I don't see any reason why MAA to still be so OP. Any unit that insta kills heroes that are 2-3m away from their unit is just broken. Only if the hero is locked by CS , DB or poleaxe , in such case, those units dealing extra dmg to locked heroes n insta killing them makes sense.
Men at arms are ok. Reapers with flail, zweihanders, Orochi, Modao, any cav ( even the new tier 3) shit on them. The new units are just horendously underpowered. I was hoping the royal guards had 2 or 3 jav throws and then they keep their final jav and become a good tower shield unit ( not as tanky as ISG, but still good). The rapiers should have a better stab ability and their 2 ability should be like a damaging counter attack. If you fight them in their 2 ability you should do basically no damage or little damage while they damage you.
the t5 javis were a dissapointment (a few seasons back) ... and now yet again a jav unit dissapoints massivly... easy season ... .only t3 worth unlocking .. .rest you can take youre sweet time for it... if you even want to unlock it anyway.
You guys are so negative. Every live service game in existence releases unbalanced content that needs to be played with and honed after the community gets their hands on them. We should be grateful that Conquerors blade seems to lean towards underpowered on release rather than overpowered like almost every other game. What i really wanted to see from this video is if the units were buggy or not. They don't appear buggy whatsoever, they just look weaker than they should be. Which is exactly what i was hoping for. Be realistic.

Honestly all of them have decently interesting concepts but the damage on the t4 and t5 is just not there. The t3 cav almost looks concerning but we'll see. They are probably gonna be spammed as sally out cav with how fast they can change their direction. Sniping ranged has never been easier. lol
the t4 really disapoint me, in the trailer they showed a circle formation and a cool push like stealwards and myrmidos combinded push but this is absolutly garbage .... the t5 look interesting but dont make any sense .... they should have a charge like a buckler unit should have to break the line. and the formation is bad as well. the devs serious dont have any efforts anymore .... its really sad
I found this amusing as my middle name is Caradoc and they are the only usable unit xD. They have to overhaul both the T5 and T4 to a crazy extend to make them workable. Those mechanics are terrible.
Is it just me, or does this upcoming season feel half hearted. There are three units, there is an intro movie, and there is somewhat of a theme. I like the teatime emoji, and the Lvl1 skin. And I am happy there is a Seasonal jav unit not named Outriders. But there is nothing...really different about this season. Not to mention, this would have been yet another opportunity to have a Greatsword hero weapon, and also....T5 Longbows. This is British after all. The Gold unit's concept seems meh, the same territories are opening up, it's the same battle pass rewards, same runes, same fame store...are they giving up?
Every time a new video pops up, I'm tempted to jump back into the game and torture myself more. Had some hopes for this season, but the piss poor performance of these units was disappointing. Im surprised it's not all cav at this point.

I hope devs share tool for make siege maps, and the best maps go to the game, new maps better than new boring units some times.
Would love to see it, but they can’t get their base game to work for NA server. I don’t have a lot of faith in the dev team.

From my experience T5 is most finished in terms of work and T4 is halfway so it feels but T3 is useless also they changed these units yesterday too…

Not every unit need high dmg output but i hope they make the new units much more tanky to compansate the low/average dmg output
Javs need a high burst damage output. It’s the whole point of the unit unless they’ll auto throw like outriders.
On gold unit you have to start the fight pressing 2 abillity
unless they buff t4 javs to instantly pierce isg, throwing them back 10 meters and piercing them against walls, I guess no one will play them.
