In my opinion, the PC game, released one year earlier, was better because it had so many options for shortcut and optimising the races. Sadly the graphics aren't as good, physics seems to be a foreign concept to the game and there are quite a few characters missing, but it is still an incredibly fun game.

17:19 if you listen closely, you can hear the Dastardly Shrinking Ray zap someone behind the Mean Machine as its tumbling down the hill. Fun Fact: the Dastardly Shrinking Ray can go through walls, *and* has infinite range!
Seriously now, the gameplay still holds up to this day, the ai its pretty good i mean its not easy to get to 1st place, you can lose it fast too. and the hub area. that took me by surprise.
Had the Gameboy color version as a kid loved it but dam the PS2 version is honestly a super high quality game great voice acting and over all looks really good for a PS2 game gonna have to get a hold of a copy
Hello, someone has the iso to install it on a DVD and play it on the console? I had it to the game but it is lightning and now I do not get it by any side please the one that has it if it can happen to me.
it's complicated. this was actually a rerelease of it made a year later so they had more time to work on it. becauase the dreamcast version was a devellopment NIGHTMARE, and not everything they wanted to get in made it. so they gave themselves an extra year with this PS2 verrsion to make a new and improved version. sadly after all of that, they still didn't have enough budget to releaese it outside of the PAL reigions. which is why NTSC reigion people don't know of it's existence.
Funny enough, there's another Wacky Races game for PS2, but the difference is this one was originally a Dreamcast game, and the latter is made by Blast Entertainment, who was notorious for putting out shovelware.
Whatever you do, do NOT play the Wacky Races "Motor Madness" game, this is LEAGUES ahead of that, plus, Motor Madness was published by Blast!, and if anybody knows Blast!, you know to avoid it at all costs.

The beauty of PCX2 is that this game and Simpsons Road Rage could almost pass as brand new games. It’s crazy.

I was thinking of getting this, but is it backwards compatible for PS3 because I heard the PlayStation 3 has backwards compatibility with PS2 games.
Only the earlier fat models, later models don't have that backward compatibility since they lack the emotion engine, which made PS2 emulation possible
