Taniks has no legs. he no longer can kneel, has been killed four times. He crashes nuclear space stations, and very good at what he does... I have been tracking him since Eramis was frozen, yes? Now, Taniks works for House Salvation, but not for long.

I really hope he’s in the Deep Stone Crypt raid. Taniks was in the Eramis flashback after playing the glassway in the Beyond Light story. And Eramis told someone in her counsel to “prepare the body.”
Taniks likes to modify his body with me mechanical enhancements to the point to where he’s more machine than ‘man.’ So it’s entirely possible that he could show up in the next raid in D2.

I really like this soundtrack. it stands out somewhat with its more subdued style as opposed to the more prevalent loud and high energy styled soundtracks. It fits the feeling of the strike well by accenting the in game sounds of fighting rather than trying to set the tone by itself.

The way the music swells at 11:00ish in the new raid while the entire room is lit up by the fire from re-entry is jaw-dropping. DSC might be my new favorite raid.

Still the best song, for me, even after hearing all of Destiny 2's OST. Taniks is still my favorite boss, also. All he knows, all he lives for, is 'the fight.' How could a warrior NOT respect this?! Shame I had to kill him, really
Taniks and Alak-Hul were my favorite in D1.
I loved the Shield Brothers despite how hard they were to kill. They were way more badass than Ghaul, ready to blow up an entire system just to get their Primus back.
He should have been a recurring boss due to his constant upgrading with cybernetics and “deaths”

there’s a lot of evil bosses in games that I love. Sephiroth obviously.. ones on that kind of level… Taniks makes that list. “He is it murderer yes…. and verrrry good at what he does!”

The life and times of Taniks the Scarred. An Eliksni Bounty Hunter, rumoured to be the last of the House of Scars. He killed so many Guardians, including the Hunter Vanguard, Andal Brask. Ultimately, he was slain by Andal’s successor, Cayde-6.
But this was not the end for Taniks. He returned from death, more machine than Eliksni. He and his followers fought under the banner of the House of Wolves. Yet his service to Skolas would not last, for he was hunted and slain by the Guardians a second time.
And yet again, he rose from the grave! His mechanical body restored by SIVA and now serving under Aksis, Archon Prime of the Devil Splicers. And yet, even in his new perfected form, he fell to the Guardians once more and was embraced by death a third time.
As the years passed, even as Mithrax and his House of Light sough to mend the wounds exchanged between Eliksni and Humans, the memory of Taniks persisted, like a scar in the psyche of those who faced him, haunting them like a recurring Nightmare.
Somehow, the House of Salvation obtained Taniks’ remains and bought him to the Deep Stone Crypt, the birthplace of the Exos. Atraks, a young baron of her House, sought to resurrect him once more as an undying soldier of the Darkness. Despite the intrusion of the Guardians, Taniks was reborn, no longer an Eliksni, but an Exo, a true machine. Taniks pursued the Guardians to Morningstar Station, thirsting for vengeance against his killers. Although the station was destroyed as it plummeted to the surface of Europa, Taniks would not be denied his vengeance. He became one with the technology of the House of Salvation and was warped into a mechanical abomination. And yet, even with his monstrous new power, he was slain yet again for the fourth and possibly final time.
Although Taniks may well have been destroyed for good this time, his memory will endure forevermore. Whatever the outcome of the coming war with the Witness, Taniks will endure as a symbol, a reminder of the Guardians’ mortality, and the cruelty that consumed the Eliksni in the wake of the Whirlwind…

When I pick up a Scorch Cannon with my Taniks' Cloak on... I walk slowly but menacingly whilst unleashing a barrage of fireballs on my enemies. And I play this theme. Mwahahaha - shame it doesn't last long as I only have 10 shots... lol :D
It's also the most satisfying weapon - when you hold down the trigger while the projectile is stuck to a Major-ranked enemy, the power in the shot builds up until you get the size of explosion you want. And I like my explosions to be EPIC. >:)
