I think the seeding is fine it will take time for parity to actually happen. But to see every team actually have a chance will improve the recruiting and transfer portal potential for everyone
We use to have a 2 and a 4 team postseason. Now we got a 12 team. No playoff in any sport is ever 100% perfect. I'm tired of ppl complaining about this new playoff. Just role with it. Sit back and enjoy it instead of being fussy and picky. The ppl complaining now are probably the same ppl who buy a new car every 2 years because they get tired of the one they have. Lol. And if you win your conference that should be rewarded. Just like in Nfl or Mlb if you win.your division you get the top or higher seeds before the at large bids. If it isn't why do we even have conferences. We all saw that teams like Bama amd South Carolina could not even win their bowl games. The committee had the best 12 teams. The new playoff system worked fine. It produced great games in Penn st vs ND and Texas vs Az ST. Even Texas vs Ohst was a good game until the end. Now we have the 2 best teams in Ohst and ND playing for the title. Let's just be happy with what we got and leave the playoff alone.
Correct… even in the four team playoff had numerous blowouts with allegedly the four best big boys , or hell even the BCS era had blowouts. That will always happen in sports. Never will eliminate it.
I like the conference champions getting a bye. They already played a de facto playoff game in a conference championship. Plus the games still have to be won on the field! The less subjectivity the better. Where there’s subjectivity we know who will get the benefit of the doubt and who won’t and that’s really what this is all about…
Conference byes are good, but need to seed them properly, can't have a group of 5 ranked in the top 4, that's ridiculous. Oregon shouldn't have had to play OSU, they were #1. They should've been playing Boise or SMU
