I think that they could have added less new "easy games" and replaced some with more fever games, like replacing flipper flop's prequel with shrimp shuffle.
This really makes realize how many Fever games they brought back in Megamix... I don't know if it's because it was the most recent one until Megamix, because I don't want to call this game overrated but I can see it's more popular than the DS one and Tengoku.
What I think how they ported fever games to megamix: 1: they ported the game sources from rhythm heaven fever to megamix 2: they tried to recreate them
you are almost correct, however it actually goes like this: As there is no engine for the game you are porting, you need to use a currently existing one, For example: Tambourine uses Sumo Brothers because it uses both A and B You need the sprite sheet from fever tambourine to create it, and then you will pack it in the files Once you have done that, you need to make sure sumo brothers doesnt look broken (looks like tambourine spritesheet with sumo brothers), This is, however changed using animations, Animations are how the game uses the spritesheets Now they just need to put the animations for tambourine once you are done, you just need to change the sound effects and music and optionally, the rhythm item too. And you are done!
Shrimp Shuffle, Donk-Donk, Tambourine, Tap Troupe, Fever's Rhythm Test and Night Walk aren't in Megamix, so they had to use games in Megamix to match those sections
