I have been very surprised to see Middle Eastern perfumes pop up in Burlington. It might be worth it for us Americans to check out your local Burlington. I've seen Layali, Qaed al Fursan, Casablanca, Shaghaf Oud, and Oud for Glory at mine!

Thank you for saying it out loud, Simin! Oud Bouquet is a beautiful fragrance. However, that DNA is traditional ME, generations old. The Middle Eastern fragrance market owns that DNA. I was able to trace its history going back around 300 yrs. I'm sure more research could take me back further. I think some credit is due here! 😊 ❤ Thank you, Simin ❤❤❤

@SiminShaikh, that's around the time a more commercialized 1920's, or so market really appeared (give or take). These various DNA blends were used in oils/attars from what I was reading and later in Parfum... . Anyway, it traveled East to West very late Renaissance.

I'm loving Sehr, great for layering with other almond or cherry fragrances too when it gets colder. I'm nearly half way through my Musamam White Intense.

Thank you for your videos, Simin. I bought Mohra some months ago and I was so dissappointed when it arrived that I thought about decluttering it. Luckily enough I was patient and after 4 months maceration it has become fenomenal. Looking forward for winter to wear it.

You read my mind! I was thinking, f all these "clean", "unisex", "fresh" scents. I wanna know what Akasha smelled like! What Catwoman smells like. What Morticia smells like. What Stevie Knicks smells like when she turns into the White Witch. What Elvira smells like. And you just said Akasha smells like Amethyst! Lol thats so random, I'd consider it a sign from the fragrance goddesses that I NEED to get it, but I wasn't gonna buy Amethyst because I blind bought Infini Rose already. Instantly, my signature. When another reviewer gave it a 10/10 and said "I imagine this is what Morticia Addams smells like." She sold me and did NOT let me down, and I LOVED it right out of the box, without any maturation/oxidation at all yet, and ordered a backup bottle immediately. I've only ever done that with one other perfume of my whole countless collection--Acqua di Gioia. But Amethyst, according to the notes on Fragrantica, is just IR with oud in the middle and base...and I'm a bit scared of so much oud because I'm told it's kind of an "acquired taste". I blind bought Khamrah and think it smells like...if Santa Claus had a baby with a Christmas tree car air freshener, and they gave birth to it in the dates/spices isle of the local grocery store. It smells cologneish, too, yet I'd not like it on a man. It's too sweet. I should've got the one with coffee. I like coffee notes, but I read it smells even more masculine than Khamrah, so I backed out. But I'll be wearing Khamrah every day in November-January. Lol, I knew it wouldn't be my favorite. My scent profile is obviously very different, but that's why I got it. Because it was something I don't have in my collection, and perhaps it will oxidize well by November, and I'll get that crispy cinnamon apple pie everyone described it as smelling like. I DO like the dates note though. That's not something I've ever had in a perfume before, nor praline so detectable, so I do like that part. Anyway...do you think having both Infini Rose and Amethyst would be redundant? Perhaps not...I'll smell that one 1st before buying but I loved your description of it! Gives me very good expectations and I'd like to add an oud perfume to my collection. Thanks for the reviews! 🖤

Are we twin souls? 🖤🖤🖤 In my head, Akasha - Amethyst Catwoman - Ishq Al Shuyukh Gold Morticia - Lattafa Emaan Stevie Nicks - Infini Rose Elvira - Club De Nuit Intense Amethyst definitely has a strong oud which makes her a little villainous. Not a blind buy either I reckon. Hahaha I laughed so hard at your description for Khamrah. This is the best yet! The imagery will forever be embossed in my mind lol. In my opinion Inifini Rose and Amethyst are way apart. Amethyst could be Inifini Rose with added Oud, Vanilla and that pink pepper magic. Do try and get a decant though. I have a feeling you will like, this one. You are always welcome babe 🖤
No kidding about beast mode.! I got musamum white intense on my watch band and it stayed there for two weeks even after washing it. 😅 so basically it’s perfect.

You are so lovely and I love watching you talk about these perfumes as you show your passion for these so clearly and explain and describe them perfectly. I woke up with a stiff neck, stiff spine and shoulders as winter has re appeared with a vengeance 😂and coughing has become a sport for me 🤣😅so I was so sore, cold and with a neck migraine and for the first time ( since I have bought Middle Eastern perfumes ) I felt too ill even to decide which perfume to wear. ( So unlike me to do something like this !) I watched you with heating packs and felt warm and comforted when you mentioned Ameer Al Oud Intense and thought , I have to wear this now (!!!!!!! ) and I paused your video and sprayed it. I felt warm and it was as if the universe gave me a hug and I felt comforted 😀💜. Then I kept watching and you talked about it being warming and comforting ! You are so right. ❤ I truly love this perfume and agree a rose note in this would have been terrible as it would have lost the special feel and just been another rose oud ME scent. The juice has changed into a darker tone and it even looks comforting. Is is strange that I go to sniff this even in summer? 😂 I LOVE 💜 Amethyst sooooooo much. I have worn this in every season and it is my shield to make me feel invincible and on top of my game. It is a perfume for a femme fatale Queen just as you said. Gerry really loves me wearing this. I love Khaltaat Al Arabia Royal Blends so very much, I think I do wear it not as often as some of my other perfumes but like you I actually get cravings for this perfume. I love how it gives me scent memories of wonderful times. I know I will wear this on the anniversary of the day we arrived in Tasmania. I need a perfume like this one for that date as I miss my loved ones and it comforts me as well. To me it is a truly classy scent. I have had people stop me and ask what I was wearing. I always smelled plum in this one. The dry down, oh the dry down is magical. I wish I had not gotten a bad batch of Oud Mood. I am sure I would love it otherwise. I love Shaghaf Oud by Swiss Arabian , it was the 3rd ME perfume I bought and yet I do not wear it often at all but do sniff the bottle when I get the urge and when I am in the mood to wear it, the dry down is what I adore the most. Liam is sooooo beautiful, not sharing this one with Gerry 😅, that is mine , mine and mine 😂. He loves it on me and so far thinks it is a feminine scent 😃 so it stays mine. 🙂. Ok, back to the heat packs and rest. Sending smoochies to Markus, and purrs from our 2 felines.Poor Pushkin and Sunti has been having a lot of fur balls as spring is getting close. If you like Shaghaf Oud there is no way Oud Mood will not be liked 🖤🖤🖤 I think temperature control during shipping might be the culprit. Every time I wear Rare Passion or even look at it ( which I do and then I have to sniff it 😅) I see you , I think of you and smile. I see you and feel this is my scent memory also of you wearing it. 😍How incredible is that? I do think of you so often, when I feed the possums, when I experience Tasmania I think oh, Simin would love this, when I see something to do with House of Dragons, Vampires etc. or when something makes me laugh , I think you would also laugh. You are truly in my heart. ❤ I think the colder weather that returned caused pains and the cough got worse. Coming off some meds is not fun at all. I do feel ( or hope) once things settle down, weather wise and medication wise , I will feel better. I am seeing my new doctor in about 11 days again to discuss if I should make an appointment with one of the associates as 18 months is far too long. Still concerned though in regards to all the diets, been through all this many times in the years gone by ( rotation diets, no gluten, no sugar, no this, no taste diets ) without any success. I hope they are not too strict and possible without throwing all the pantry items out. I must admit I do feel anxious about the whole thing, plus the expense involved for tests, supplements and consultations which are not refunded or insured by my or any health insurance. I also am sure my Oud Mood has gone off. I cannot remember now where I got it from. I knew that loving Shaghaf Oud meant I would have to love it or at least like it a lot. Oh, poor hun, that sounds terrible. I had the feeling you were not doing well, this last weekend, you must have been so exhausted and really needed that rest and sleep. ❤ I am sorry about your blood pressure, that is not good at all. I used to have low blood pressure and then suddenly it became high after another illness and refused to come down so sadly I am on medication for this. I think the new anti fur ball treats are helping a lot, Gerry bought in grass for the babies and Sunti gave us an oh so stinky grass fart, whilst we were watching a TV series and I had to hold a scented candle in front of my nose 🤣😂, it was that bad. Gerry said it was impressive 😂and some other funny things, lots of laughter and it seemed inconceivable that a small beautiful silky creature could have caused such a shocking stench. He looked so innocent but when we started laughing he looked a touch embarrassed and not happy 🙀😼 so I had to explain we were NOT laughing at him 😅🙀😹. We had 3 possums one night here, they were so funny, they come walking right up to the window and Sunti loves watching them but Pushkin does ignore them completely. @SiminShaikh The suede and the amount of almond that it has is the reason for the hesitation. I generally don't care for almonds, but I do have one scent that I like with an almond note. I'm going to try to find a decant, I suppose. I'm lazy about it 😆 🤣 😂

I'm really liking it and it's now reminding me of boss the scent for her parfum edition. ✅ Oud for glory is 10/10 to me 😍 I bought it for my bf and he loves it and i love to wear it too! Absolutely must have ❤ ✅ Oud Mood. Oh my God ❤ fave!! Can anyone tell me how she agrees? I want to wear it more but want her to age. It's only been 3 months and hasn't noticed much difference yet. Speaking of coffee, my bf chose eternal coffee by Paris corner in today's package. Oh my gosh it's utterly DEVINE. It's so lovely and sweet and the coffee is 😘👌🏻 I also received Eclair. The fuss is real. I was worried when the caramel now faded as quick as it did but then sinking into that fluffy sweet vanilla milkshake/icecream was to die for. Never smelt anything close to how utterly lactonic it is. So happy that note stays sweet and fluffy on me! It turned sour on my bf pretty quickly unfortunately. For him 😆 Eclair + eternal coffee layered is INSANE 🎉 TOMORROW i receive Teriaq and Khamrah ❤😭❤️😭 I'm so freaking excited!!!

@@SiminShaikh I am my sister! 😁🖤💅🏼 Hehe I can't wait to watch Mohra evolve! I had a good idea recently and would love to know what you think! Which is to decant 5/10ml into little labeled test sprayers and use those for perfume which need to age. Because 1: decanting speeds up oxidisation as it's sprayed into the vial. 2: More air in the actual perfume bottles apparently helps with aging. 3: I can see how much is in it which (might) prevent me from using them too much prematurely 😂. The sprayers are on their way 😁 As for Eternal coffee, it's a lovely sweet almost boozy coffee. To me it actually smells like the liquor called Khalua which I quite like. But, I must warn you, even for a brand new only opened two days ago perfume, performance is abysmal! Literally skin accent in 30 minutes. Very sad. Hopefully it will mature and darken and strengthen it's grip! Oh!! I'm going to layer Eclair with Intense Cafe tomorrow 😯 I will report back! And as for Teriaq. You can't get with it quite yet. Have you figured out why that is yet? It certainly is different! I like her a whole lot. She's very strange, but for me, in a very lean into it way. Here's the crazy thing. I thought myself mad at first but last night I caught a waft off myself and it immediately made me think of Mon Guerlain intense 🤔 So I put it and Teriaq on each hand and... What the heck!? They do not smell the same. However somehow they do!? Seriously, Teriaq is the too cool, side smirk, dark humor, moody but sexy "don't talk to me" caramel sister. The other is the mature sweetheart, ride or die, hot housewife floral sister. Mum immediately smelt what I was seeing! Amazing!

I received Royal blends gold today! It's a total pineapple bomb to me and i love it! So nice. The 2 only fruit perfumes i have is Ajwad pink. Which i call Nuclear Guava. Haha. And the apple in dylan blue pour femme 😅 Ajwad pink layered with Royal Gold is amazing! But the Ajwad has to be added from a *distance* because it's so insane.
Heya hun ❤ Ooooh enjoy the pineapple opening coz it macerates and changes quite a bit but will remain on the top of your wear list. I am really trying to get with both Ajwad and Ajwad Pink to Pink. They both ahve macerated a bit. But still wayyyy too much for my nose. One with the metal note and the other being the mother of all guavas lol
I have a year old bottle, and Royal Blends gives me a grilled pineapple, slightly boozy, spicy, and delicious scent bomb. Can't wait to wear this fall. Layered with Qaa'ed al Fursan unlimited this summer on vacation,I received lots of compliments, especially on the unique aroma.
@@SiminShaikh I haven't smelled the original Ajwad. Have you reviewed it? I only got the pink one as a large order gift selection. I like it but don't LOVE it. My partner does though so I wear it for him sometimes and I spray it on his pillows 🥰. That guava just beats your ass all freaking day right!? 😂😂 I love strong relentless perfume, but not like that. I must say though, for an absolute beast of a fruit frag it's got an excellent rich base. Just not quite for me either. My all time favorite perfume it's Si intense by Armani. My bottle is 3 years old and it's so rich and dark now 😍

I'm not always so sure if I love beast mode. I mean like we came on Saturday to s summer cottage for a week. Ever since arriving I've been wondering about the pleasant but strong kind of smell in my room. Strong enough that my friend mentioned that her dog was smelling of it after visiting my room for awhile. I finally hunted down the item. My light summer coat. I was wondering what and when I've used something smelling anything like that. Must have been couple weeks back at least when I chose to try one evening how strongly oud mood smells on warm summer evening. Too strong to my taste on summer. But the scent sure lasts. Even though I didn't spray straight on the cost, I bet it last couple washes and some. But thank you for the lovely video, I have and love many of these, some I will try in time.

Simin hi. I can’t agree with you more about Ameer Al Oudh Intense Oud and By the Fireplace being not dupes. I have Ameer and went to a store got a sample of the Fireplace perfume and I get two completely different scents. The Fireplace is undoubtedly burning wood scent and Ameer is not so intense and in your face. It’s simply wearable and yummy to me.

I quite likes Sabah Al Ward, it is a grape jasmine perfume. I also tried Ameerati which is just Ameerat al Arab packed in another bottle, so I was a tad bit disappointed. One can pay an absolute fortune for Oud. I made Bakhoor (which took only TWO years to cure). Its lovely, but it just would not dry out. I was looking everywhere for ouds.

I was scared to try Amethyst, but to my surprise it’s not that loud at all. To me, it’s a deep, dark red semi sweet rose with a vanilla background. After I did one spray, I added two more and no one was choked out 😂 Definitely a night time scent for me though. It’s lovely ❤ I’m going to try layering Liam with Crystal Noir. That sounds like it will be amazing! I’ve been stalking Musamam White Intense. It’s been sold out in Canada for a while.
Amethyst makes me feel certain ways and I cannot even describe it. It is very dark indeed ❤️❤️❤️ Yea whats up with the supply of Musamam White. But babe pls don't buy it at 60USD. Thats too high of a price.
Hi, Sim! I'm still not using my Ameer al Oud Intense decant after testing it. Apart from not being used to oud scent, the Philippines is still too hot despite typhoons. Pretty sure these kinds of perfumes will be overwhelming for everyone. I'm really going to buy a decant for Liam Gray. Perhaps you can make a summer edition of long-wearing perfumes? Liam was such a surprising fragrance to my nose. I mean I knew it resembles Gris Charnel which is way out of my budget, but Liam, wow. Economical, long lasting and unique ❤️

Hey my Hun ❤ Musamam White is quite potent. So I am making an assumption here that you are getting anosmic. Try and ask people around you if they can smell it. After maceration the perfume does get stronger and smoother ❤❤❤

Oh no. I am so sorry. I wonder why these perfumes have such poor logistics ❤ The layering combo sound good hun but it wont smell the same as Musamam White coz of the lack of citrus. Musamam smells like a tropical version Crystal Noir. I myself used to feel I am a goth perfume lover but recently found myself gravitating toward girlie-girl and Oriental fragrances like Liam. If I find something in the same Genre, I will share it for sure xo
I don't think Sehr has two formulations, but that some people only get vanilla, others get the other notes as well. My friend managed to get a bottle before it sold out, and she gets the vanilla bomb, while I clearly smell the othes notes on her as well.
Oddly, my bottle of amethyst has been leaking around the atomiser recently. I find honour & glory has a better atomiser but, to me, that smells quite medicinal. Amethyst is a fragrance that at time, I love but often it is too much

@@SiminShaikh I was just going to leave the amethyst, since it isn’t *too* bad. I think Honour & Glory is macerated but I have a scent association of the pineapple/turmeric with medicine. It is the only perfume I own that my brother likes but he doesn’t use them.

I asked because i have heard that rifaqat is a much better dupe of babycat, i have rifaqat & absolutely love it.. one of my friends hated ishq al shuyukh & was hesitant to buy rifaqat but she finally caved after seeking how much i like it & she loved rifaqat too.. i think ishq al shuyukh has some batch discrepancies that's why some love it others hate it 🤔
Question ⁉️ Any layering that anyone can recommend to make Liam Grey less masculine? It does pull very masculine on me , I just want it to smell slightly sweeter? IDK. For reference I own , Vanilla 28, eclair, Nebras and love don't be shy as my go to sweet fragrances. I still like Liam, I just want to make it work better for my tastes.❤❤
Hey hun ❤️ Since it has fig and black tea, citrus and woods will make it more masculine. Florals will clash but you might want to try adding a soft rose. But I think what would work best is a milky perfume like Eclaire. Lemme try them out for you at home and reply back.

My skin sucks up even the heaviest creams and lotions like they are nothing. Events don't last very long on me. Of course, I'm happy to use my perfumes several times a day but it would be nice to have something that will last. Also, I emailed you on the collab email a few days ago. I have to add that Khamrah Qawha is my number one, best of the best, favorite. I LOVE IT! I don't even care if it's summer, I still wear it. I spray it on my pillow before I go to bed. I'll spray a curtain so that the whole room smells amazing when I walk in the door. When it dries down on me, it gets very creamy and spicy and I often stop to smell my wrist. It's that amazing.❤ I don't think it's for everyone and can be overwhelming for many in the US. We are still taught that our perfume should only be smelled when someone comes in for a hug. I am NOT that girl.😂

I have been very surprised to see Middle Eastern perfumes pop up in Burlington. It might be worth it for us Americans to check out your local Burlington. I've seen Layali, Qaed al Fursan, Casablanca, Shaghaf Oud, and Oud for Glory at mine!

Thank you for saying it out loud, Simin! Oud Bouquet is a beautiful fragrance. However, that DNA is traditional ME, generations old. The Middle Eastern fragrance market owns that DNA. @SiminShaikh, that's around the time a more commercialized 1920's, or so market really appeared (give or take). These various DNA blends were used in oils/attars from what I was reading and later in Parfum... . Anyway, it traveled East to West very late Renaissance.

You read my mind! I was thinking, f all these "clean", "unisex", "fresh" scents. I wanna know what Akasha smelled like! What Catwoman smells like. What Morticia smells like. What Stevie Knicks smells like when she turns into the White Witch. What Elvira smells like. And you just said Akasha smells like Amethyst! Lol thats so random, I'd consider it a sign from the fragrance goddesses that I NEED to get it, but I wasn't gonna buy Amethyst because I blind bought Infini Rose already. Instantly, my signature. When another reviewer gave it a 10/10 and said "I imagine this is what Morticia Addams smells like." She sold me and did NOT let me down, and I LOVED it right out of the box, without any maturation/oxidation at all yet, and ordered a backup bottle immediately. I've only ever done that with one other perfume of my whole countless collection--Acqua di Gioia. But Amethyst, according to the notes on Fragrantica, is just IR with oud in the middle and base...and I'm a bit scared of so much oud because I'm told it's kind of an "acquired taste".
I blind bought Khamrah and think it smells like...if Santa Claus had a baby with a Christmas tree car air freshener, and they gave birth to it in the dates/spices isle of the local grocery store. It smells cologneish, too, yet I'd not like it on a man. It's too sweet. I should've got the one with coffee. I like coffee notes, but I read it smells even more masculine than Khamrah, so I backed out. But I'll be wearing Khamrah every day in November-January. Lol, I knew it wouldn't be my favorite. My scent profile is obviously very different, but that's why I got it. Because it was something I don't have in my collection, and perhaps it will oxidize well by November, and I'll get that crispy cinnamon apple pie everyone described it as smelling like. I DO like the dates note though. That's not something I've ever had in a perfume before, nor praline so detectable, so I do like that part.
Anyway...do you think having both Infini Rose and Amethyst would be redundant? Perhaps not...I'll smell that one 1st before buying but I loved your description of it! Gives me very good expectations and I'd like to add an oud perfume to my collection. Thanks for the reviews! 🖤

In my opinion Inifini Rose and Amethyst are way apart. Amethyst could be Inifini Rose with added Oud, Vanilla and that pink pepper magic. Do try and get a decant though. I have a feeling you will like, this one.

I woke up with a stiff neck, stiff spine and shoulders as winter has re appeared with a vengeance 😂and coughing has become a sport for me 🤣😅so I was so sore, cold and with a neck migraine and for the first time ( since I have bought Middle Eastern perfumes ) I felt too ill even to decide which perfume to wear. ( So unlike me to do something like this !) I watched you with heating packs and felt warm and comforted when you mentioned Ameer Al Oud Intense and thought , I have to wear this now (!!!!!!! ) and I paused your video and sprayed it. I felt warm and it was as if the universe gave me a hug and I felt comforted 😀💜. Then I kept watching and you talked about it being warming and comforting ! You are so right. ❤ I truly love this perfume and agree a rose note in this would have been terrible as it would have lost the special feel and just been another rose oud ME scent. The juice has changed into a darker tone and it even looks comforting. Is is strange that I go to sniff this even in summer? 😂
I LOVE 💜 Amethyst sooooooo much. I have worn this in every season and it is my shield to make me feel invincible and on top of my game. It is a perfume for a femme fatale Queen just as you said. Gerry really loves me wearing this. I love Khaltaat Al Arabia Royal Blends so very much, I think I do wear it not as often as some of my other perfumes but like you I actually get cravings for this perfume. I love how it gives me scent memories of wonderful times. I know I will wear this on the anniversary of the day we arrived in Tasmania. I need a perfume like this one for that date as I miss my loved ones and it comforts me as well. To me it is a truly classy scent. I have had people stop me and ask what I was wearing. I always smelled plum in this one. The dry down, oh the dry down is magical. I wish I had not gotten a bad batch of Oud Mood. I am sure I would love it otherwise.
I love Shaghaf Oud by Swiss Arabian , it was the 3rd ME perfume I bought and yet I do not wear it often at all but do sniff the bottle when I get the urge and when I am in the mood to wear it, the dry down is what I adore the most.
Liam is sooooo beautiful, not sharing this one with Gerry 😅, that is mine , mine and mine 😂. He loves it on me and so far thinks it is a feminine scent 😃 so it stays mine. 🙂.

Your experience of perfumes and mine are nearly identical. Esp with Royal Blends which not many people get. I am pretty certain you have got a bad batch of the Oud Mood, coz knowing you, it was right up your alley. If you like Shaghaf Oud there is no way Oud Mood will not be liked 🖤🖤🖤 I think temperature control during shipping might be the culprit.

I had a stress overload reaction this weekend and i shut down both mentally and physically. I slept most of the time as my blood pressure for the very first time was quite high. I somehow need to stress less and get more physical activity (big woop).

I think the colder weather that returned caused pains and the cough got worse. Coming off some meds is not fun at all. I do feel ( or hope) once things settle down, weather wise and medication wise , I will feel better. I am seeing my new doctor in about 11 days again to discuss if I should make an appointment with one of the associates as 18 months is far too long. Still concerned though in regards to all the diets, been through all this many times in the years gone by ( rotation diets, no gluten, no sugar, no this, no taste diets ) without any success. I hope they are not too strict and possible without throwing all the pantry items out. I must admit I do feel anxious about the whole thing, plus the expense involved for tests, supplements and consultations which are not refunded or insured by my or any health insurance.
I also am sure my Oud Mood has gone off. I cannot remember now where I got it from. I knew that loving Shaghaf Oud meant I would have to love it or at least like it a lot.

Poor baby Markus, he missed you, I know ours do this with me when I go MIA due to extra sleep, unless I snooze in the sunroom and am covered in the cats 😻😸😹, but I still need to play with them 😀. I think the new anti fur ball treats are helping a lot, Gerry bought in grass for the babies and Sunti gave us an oh so stinky grass fart, whilst we were watching a TV series and I had to hold a scented candle in front of my nose 🤣😂, it was that bad. Gerry said it was impressive 😂and some other funny things, lots of laughter and it seemed inconceivable that a small beautiful silky creature could have caused such a shocking stench. He looked so innocent but when we started laughing he looked a touch embarrassed and not happy 🙀😼 so I had to explain we were NOT laughing at him 😅🙀😹.
We had 3 possums one night here, they were so funny, they come walking right up to the window and Sunti loves watching them but Pushkin does ignore them completely.

@SiminShaikh The suede and the amount of almond that it has is the reason for the hesitation. I generally don't care for almonds, but I do have one scent that I like with an almond note. I'm going to try to find a decant, I suppose. I'm lazy about it 😆 🤣 😂

I also received Eclair. The fuss is real. I was worried when the caramel now faded as quick as it did but then sinking into that fluffy sweet vanilla milkshake/icecream was to die for. Never smelt anything close to how utterly lactonic it is. So happy that note stays sweet and fluffy on me! It turned sour on my bf pretty quickly unfortunately. For him 😆 Eclair + eternal coffee layered is INSANE 🎉

I had a good idea recently and would love to know what you think! Which is to decant 5/10ml into little labeled test sprayers and use those for perfume which need to age. Because 1: decanting speeds up oxidisation as it's sprayed into the vial. 2: More air in the actual perfume bottles apparently helps with aging. 3: I can see how much is in it which (might) prevent me from using them too much prematurely 😂. The sprayers are on their way 😁
As for Eternal coffee, it's a lovely sweet almost boozy coffee. To me it actually smells like the liquor called Khalua which I quite like.
But, I must warn you, even for a brand new only opened two days ago perfume, performance is abysmal! Literally skin accent in 30 minutes. Very sad. Hopefully it will mature and darken and strengthen it's grip!
Oh!! I'm going to layer Eclair with Intense Cafe tomorrow 😯 I will report back!
And as for Teriaq. You can't get with it quite yet. Have you figured out why that is yet? It certainly is different! I like her a whole lot. She's very strange, but for me, in a very lean into it way. Here's the crazy thing. I thought myself mad at first but last night I caught a waft off myself and it immediately made me think of Mon Guerlain intense 🤔
So I put it and Teriaq on each hand and... What the heck!? They do not smell the same. However somehow they do!? Seriously, Teriaq is the too cool, side smirk, dark humor, moody but sexy "don't talk to me" caramel sister. The other is the mature sweetheart, ride or die, hot housewife floral sister.
Mum immediately smelt what I was seeing! Amazing!

I received Royal blends gold today! It's a total pineapple bomb to me and i love it! So nice. The 2 only fruit perfumes i have is Ajwad pink. Which i call Nuclear Guava. Haha. And the apple in dylan blue pour femme 😅
Ajwad pink layered with Royal Gold is amazing! But the Ajwad has to be added from a *distance* because it's so insane.

I am really trying to get with both Ajwad and Ajwad Pink to Pink. They both ahve macerated a bit. But still wayyyy too much for my nose. One with the metal note and the other being the mother of all guavas lol
I have a year old bottle, and Royal Blends gives me a grilled pineapple, slightly boozy, spicy, and delicious scent bomb. Can't wait to wear this fall. Layered with Qaa'ed al Fursan unlimited this summer on vacation,I received lots of compliments, especially on the unique aroma.

I only got the pink one as a large order gift selection. I like it but don't LOVE it. My partner does though so I wear it for him sometimes and I spray it on his pillows 🥰. That guava just beats your ass all freaking day right!? 😂😂 I love strong relentless perfume, but not like that. I must say though, for an absolute beast of a fruit frag it's got an excellent rich base. Just not quite for me either.

I'm not always so sure if I love beast mode. I mean like we came on Saturday to s summer cottage for a week. Ever since arriving I've been wondering about the pleasant but strong kind of smell in my room. Strong enough that my friend mentioned that her dog was smelling of it after visiting my room for awhile.
I finally hunted down the item. My light summer coat. I was wondering what and when I've used something smelling anything like that. Must have been couple weeks back at least when I chose to try one evening how strongly oud mood smells on warm summer evening. Too strong to my taste on summer.
But the scent sure lasts. Even though I didn't spray straight on the cost, I bet it last couple washes and some.

Simin hi. I can’t agree with you more about Ameer Al Oudh Intense Oud and By the Fireplace being not dupes. I have Ameer and went to a store got a sample of the Fireplace perfume and I get two completely different scents. The Fireplace is undoubtedly burning wood scent and Ameer is not so intense and in your face. It’s simply wearable and yummy to me.

I was scared to try Amethyst, but to my surprise it’s not that loud at all. To me, it’s a deep, dark red semi sweet rose with a vanilla background.
After I did one spray, I added two more and no one was choked out 😂

Hi, Sim! I'm still not using my Ameer al Oud Intense decant after testing it. Apart from not being used to oud scent, the Philippines is still too hot despite typhoons. Pretty sure these kinds of perfumes will be overwhelming for everyone. I'm really going to buy a decant for Liam Gray.
Perhaps you can make a summer edition of long-wearing perfumes? And also, are there oriental perfumes out there that do not have oud in them?

Musamam White is quite potent. So I am making an assumption here that you are getting anosmic. Try and ask people around you if they can smell it. After maceration the perfume does get stronger and smoother ❤❤❤

The layering combo sound good hun but it wont smell the same as Musamam White coz of the lack of citrus. Musamam smells like a tropical version Crystal Noir.
I myself used to feel I am a goth perfume lover but recently found myself gravitating toward girlie-girl and Oriental fragrances like Liam. If I find something in the same Genre, I will share it for sure xo

I don't think Sehr has two formulations, but that some people only get vanilla, others get the other notes as well. My friend managed to get a bottle before it sold out, and she gets the vanilla bomb, while I clearly smell the othes notes on her as well.

Oddly, my bottle of amethyst has been leaking around the atomiser recently. I find honour & glory has a better atomiser but, to me, that smells quite medicinal. Amethyst is a fragrance that at time, I love but often it is too much

I think Honour & Glory is macerated but I have a scent association of the pineapple/turmeric with medicine. It is the only perfume I own that my brother likes but he doesn’t use them.

I asked because i have heard that rifaqat is a much better dupe of babycat, i have rifaqat & absolutely love it.. one of my friends hated ishq al shuyukh & was hesitant to buy rifaqat but she finally caved after seeking how much i like it & she loved rifaqat too.. i think ishq al shuyukh has some batch discrepancies that's why some love it others hate it 🤔
Question ⁉️ Any layering that anyone can recommend to make Liam Grey less masculine? It does pull very masculine on me , I just want it to smell slightly sweeter? IDK. For reference I own , Vanilla 28, eclair, Nebras and love don't be shy as my go to sweet fragrances. I still like Liam, I just want to make it work better for my tastes.❤❤

Since it has fig and black tea, citrus and woods will make it more masculine. Florals will clash but you might want to try adding a soft rose. But I think what would work best is a milky perfume like Eclaire. Lemme try them out for you at home and reply back.

I NEED beast mode fragrances. I have a disease that affects glands that produce moisture like eyes, mouth and skin. My skin sucks up even the heaviest creams and lotions like they are nothing. Events don't last very long on me. Of course, I'm happy to use my perfumes several times a day but it would be nice to have something that will last.

I have to add that Khamrah Qawha is my number one, best of the best, favorite. I LOVE IT! I don't even care if it's summer, I still wear it. I spray it on my pillow before I go to bed. I'll spray a curtain so that the whole room smells amazing when I walk in the door.
When it dries down on me, it gets very creamy and spicy and I often stop to smell my wrist. It's that amazing.❤
I don't think it's for everyone and can be overwhelming for many in the US. We are still taught that our perfume should only be smelled when someone comes in for a hug. I am NOT that girl.😂

Woah. I can imagine the perfumes just disappearing on you then. babe I will make at least two more parts to cover other brands as well. I also dont mind spraying often but at least the base notes should stay intact you know lol. Some perfume are literally one hour longevity. I mean thats just insane to spend on then.

I also get that creaminess in the dry down, like wayyy under. Qahwa got so easily forgotten everywhere. I think it will make a come back during winter months ❤
