Tayari kept attaching Iriki. Tayari was actually fighting with Iriki,she was never playing. Tayrai was getting in nasty hit and hard ones. Tayari was through to be playing especially while Iriki was holding Ringo. Tayari was too slick and Iriki could or would be blamed for starting fights so Iriki had to play along. Until one day Tayari just wouldn't seem to stop.Iriki went to D'jeeco and asked him to make her stop and he did charge her and that was the beginning of the end for so called playing/which was sneak fighting the same thing Tayari does to Jabali when he wants to feed,cuddle, ride her back,be with his dad or play with Ringo. If She just straightout fought D'jeeco would quickly resolve the situation.
D'jeeco is a magnificent, kind, protective silverback as he should be. Thank goodness he stopped this horrible fight, I felt so bad for the babies. I'm so glad there was peace after this
I frequently watch 3 troops. Momotauro and Shebani in Japan and D'jeeco in Taiwan. They are all wonderful but I wish the troops in Japan (and all the zoo troops) had a habitat as amazing as D'jeeco's troops.

I’ve never seen Iriki lose it like that before. I think it’s her motherly instinct coming out now that she has baby Ringo to protect as well. They’re both on equal ground now....They’re sisters & both mothers now...A fight amongst siblings is only normal. Glad both babies are ok & no one was seriously hurt just maybe Tayari’s pride & thank goodness DJ is an awesome Silverback & immediately got it under control...Also, I know I’m late on watching and commenting on this video lol....
I know this is an older video but I never saw Iriki clap back like that. Tayari is always causing trouble. She is checking her wounds at the end. Good job Iriki. Glad babies were ok. Love that Ringo. ❤

Woah! Iriki snapped. I feel like this has been building up for awhile between these 2. It will be interesting to see if this fight changes the dynamics in this family. I have a feeling that Tayari might think twice before pushing Iriki around anymore. It was good to see Iriki stand up for herself finally. I hope they all kiss and make up soon. I really hate seeing any of them unhappy & I'm sure both babies were very scared. Good job breaking them up, DJ! I know it's typical in gorilla troops but it's still hard to see. I hope none of them were hurt.
I agree! Tayari seems to always pick on Iriki. Who is always gentle and loving. Tayari, has a habit of being too aggressive. The last time she took things too far with Iriki when they were just playing and DJ had to place her on timeout. So, when you are surround with that energy like Tayari, who constantly picks on you and tries to take your baby. You are going to react. Iriki felt threaten and was protecting her child. I'm happy no one got hurt.
Once again poor D'jeeco! He's so good with these two screaming wives! They really have some loud voices! Poor Jabali was scared to death! Iriki wasn't giving up this time! Gorilla life! Interesting video on their behavior! Great catch 🦍❤️🥰
Iriki was walking toward DJ, and Tayari didn’t like that, so she started the fight. But Iriki clapped back hard and vicious. Good for you, Iriki. He’s your man, too. Left Tayari examining her wounds and poor little Jabali looking traumatized. Wow.
Always remember they're sisters first and they've been fighting with each other for many, many years. They share the same father and Iriki has more of his demeanor and Tay her playful mothers. Because Ringo was riding on his mama, Iriki didn't hold back, her instinct was to protect. Ringo was so tiny here! Hard to believe our baby boy will be 3 in a matter of months! ❤
Poor Jabali! He looked so sad and scared! Who knew a few vegetables could cause such a fight. They should feed the gorillas separately at least until the babies are bigger. Since they are attached to the moms they could be harmed. But I’m sure the keepers will do the best for them.
@@lady4vols yea. I don’t think they do either. I’m still not sure where the gorillas sleep ect ect. Even today when the keeper was trying to feed J,Tayari kept taking his food. Some zoo’s give the gorillas their own bag of snacks and the gorillas go to their areas and eat. No fighting cause food isn’t being tossed everywhere. I think it’s the Vancouver zoo that even has tables and tea in bottles the gorillas drink and eat popcorn out of bags and get to watch a tv monitor! That’s pretty fancy!
You get what you give. Tayari started that. Everyone on here is always saying how smart Tayari is. Well you would think she would learn to stop instigating fights.
🤔 Hmm...I wonder if anything happened before this. It went from all peacefully foraging for 🌻 sunflower seeds to 😵. Iriki gets up probably to move closer to, and sit by D'Jeeco, as she usually does, and then (5:25) Tayari aggressively grabbed her arm. Uh oh! Like I stated yesterday Iriki is definitely making her presence, and position ranking status known in the troop. In other words, Iriki: Damn Tayari (and some other colorful words) I have had it with you trying to boss me around! Let this be the LAST time you grab my arm like that. You're not the boss of me. And I don't wanna have this conversation again! This sent (surprised) Tayari running for her life, Iriki tumbling slightly down the trench, the babies are like, Ok this is different, what is going on", and one beautiful huge silverback 😘 D'Jeeco highly annoyed...about the cat calling noises 😳. Slightly unusual for the sisters to escalate to this degree, but it happens...lady wives do fight. Hopefully Iriki has finally gotten her point across to Tayari. It may take a few more of these. Sometimes Tayari just doesn't quite catch on or get the clue to stop, but she's learning. The sisters do have a close sister bond. I am sure things settled down afterwards.
Iriki had had her share of tayari and that attitude. Looks like she's going to have to keep doing that every few months because tayari has already started her stuff again.
I think that Tayari was trying to prevent her from going over to sit near D'jeeco. She is very jealous of Iriki being near him. Tayari went out of her way again to grab Iriki and start something. Of course Iriki is going to get fed up with her behavior, Tay always tries to bully and control her. Poor DJ, one wife who is normal, sane and a good mother, the other one is immature, jealous and plain loco.
You're totally misunderstanding Tay. She's very intelligent and has a better personality, which she got from her mother. Iriki is more like her father. In this video, their tension was brewing prior to Tay going near DJ. I'm surprised they didn't fight the first few seconds. Viewers have to remember that the sisters were chosen for D'jeeco for a reason, and they kept him busy all this time. We all know this video has a happy ending, thankfully.
@@tracey9116 no misunderstanding here. Tayari is the instigator of all fights between the 2. She is evil and weird. If you watch all videos of this troop you will see how weird she is. She does things to her son which are not the norm for how gorilla mothers behave. She may be intelligent , but she is also a creep!!
I’m not an animal behaviorist, but if they share emotions and temperaments with humans, then I’d say Iriki acts like a big sister to an immature younger sister. I think there’s only a month’s difference in their ages but developmentally, that makes a difference in their maturation and likely, Iriki always “took care of” Tay growing up, much like Jabali treats Ringo protectively (half the time). Gorilla moms and older siblings seem to have incredible patience with young, annoying babies. But if Tay thinks she should always get her way now that they are sister-wives, she gets a reality check. Gorillas gotta do what gorillas gotta do. They still love each other.

Tay is aggressive, but I’ve seen DJ sit with Iriki in other videos. She quietly approaches and he plays with Ringo in older clips. Tay seems immature to me. Iriki has a peaceful nature. The silverback likes the contrast and Tay gets more air time, but he likes being around calm Iriki too. Be encouraged!
Yeah Iriki went to where the other was eating and that didn’t go over well. Tayari pushed her away and Iriki attacked. Poor babies, just got caught up in the middle. I heard at least one with that high squeal, not sure if both were. Poor Jabali clung to Mama after. Glad that ended and all is well.
I'm at 0:19 seconds and I can tell you right now that Tay is gonna get the worst of it all. OM gosh, I think Iriki got it this time. Out all the Asian zoo's, Japan and Taiwan, D'j has to break more sister wife fights apart.🤣🤣🤣
Love you Ringo. Heck if I was Iriki I'd be growling like a rabid animal. She can't put poor Ringo down or his own brother is touching & mouthing him, his aunt is always trying to loot him. What happen to Iriki and Ringo! The video recorder captured Tayari and Jabli. Hum?!! I hope the zoo staff checked on both sisters and babies. This is concerning to me. The zoo administer has to find out what is going on with the troop. Tayari isn't getting that she is not the only female. D'Jeeco has two wives and two sons. Her jealousy is going to have unhealthy consequences like the seen in this video. I care about what is going on with this troop. But more importantly, is the favoritism that is openly in plain sight by zoo staff is disturbing. Yes, I've notice it. I pray that conditions for Iriki and Ringo changes. I can't come to soon. Hi Mary. And the channel holder also. If you notice it seemed like baby Ringo fell from Iriki's arms into the bushes after the fight. Did he get hurt? But the channel holder who loves that crazy gorilla followed her. At 5:32 that she attacked Iriki. It had nothing to do with fruits or vegetables like people comment things just for the sake of the crazy. Iriki got fed up and let her have it! She ran from Iriki. But glad she found out that Iriki is not a push over and a force to be reckon with . In the wild this earns Iriki the dominance spot. But of course the zoo and channel will continue to worship that crazy one. So upsetting!!!! As you can see . And people commenting poor Jabali ( I feel bad for him, but he was safe). What the heck... its poor Ringo, he's hanging on mom's belly, he's little, did he get hurt? Unfortunately it's their zoo, they are probably waiting for that crazy to breed again so she can do what she's been doing to Jabali via her mouth and "other" on the new infant, and of course Jabali will too because that's what he's learned.
@@selah7779 Yes, I agree with you. However, it is not ok for the favoritism to be openly in plain sight from the zoo staff. The video recorder content is glorifying the bully Tayari. The viewers who cheer for Tayari's behavior are concerning to me. How can watching animals fight and enjoy it? The zoo staff and administrator need to dialogue with the zoo administrators to get ideas as to how to fix this serious problem with this troop before someone gets seriously hurt. The video recorder words used are described in a way as if promoting conflict is enjoyable. Yes, enjoyable to those who cheer for Tayari's bad behavior.
MARY this is not meant for you but to anyone who have written novels on this post and my other post. I'm not sure why people feel whatever they see, whatever they post, etc is how it really is. I forgot to add. We all have our opinions. If your opinion differs than "please" keep it to yourself because you will not get a reply from me, in fact I will not even read your post in it's entirety. Could someone please help me I don't know which gorilla is which. All I know is that the one with the smallest baby was the one that got grabbed and then she went sneaky Mama Bear on the other one. Who appears to have a child older but still little she gets away. So even though she was not the original aggressor she was more aggressive with any baby which would make sense just don't know I would love to find out but I can't tell
The one with the smaller baby is Iriki and her baby is named Ringo, the aggressive mother that grabbed the arm is Tayari with her baby Jabali. The mothers are half sisters. Hope that helps!
Poor Iriki, she really had PPD bad after Ringo. Looking back 2 years now, poor thing plucked her fur bad. She was a ticking timebomb and Ringo had to hang on for the ride. And look at how little he was! He will be 3 this year 😢❤ 2024 Where did the time go?! 🦍
Tudo parecia calmo, Ringo experimentando umas cascas de árvores, mas de repente Tayari empurra iriki que que passa perto da sua comida e iriki fica muito agressiva e ataca Tayari com muita raiva. A luta se torna intensa e jabali emite uns gritos finos de socorro, ele parece muito nervoso e D’jeeco corre e dessa vez e iriki que mesmo com Ringo do lado é repreendida, iriki ficou muito agressiva e Tayari olha as mordida, jabali ainda parece amedrontado pobrezinho gritou
In earlier videos, it seems that Tayari doesn't want to be bothered with Jabali. My guess is that she had no real experience, and didn't have a chance to watch any other gorillas with babies. She was only 8 years old when she arrived at the zoo, too young to be taken away from her family. Most often, gorillas are sent to other zoos at 10-11 years old as part of the mating program. Iriki was 8 years old, also, when she arrived at the same time with Tayari, her sister. I think she took better care of Ringo, getting experience anyway she could from Tayari. Also, D'Jeeco seems to favor Iriki more over Tayari. Maybe that is the reason she doesn't seem like she wants anything to do with Jabali, out of jealousy.
No don’t agree, yeah Tay does start the fights but Iriki also is greedy when it comes to food most of the time Tay goes after her for that. As far as who DJeeco prefers it’s fairly obvious he’s always touching an near Tayari she keeps him on his toes. She’s no angel but in terms personality team Tay. Do think Iriki is more maternal but Tay does things in her own way. She nurses him an didn’t reject him but she rather wear him around her ankle than on her back lol
@@annemariemcnamara8756 Tay has always been the more playful one, she is definitely like her mother, the dearly departed G'yasi. G'yasi died pretty young, around 20. Iriki is more like her father and he was very calm like D'jeeco. When they were chosen for D'jeeco's mates I knew there would be cat fights between the two and that excelled during Iriki's post partum phase. The sisters have calmed down a bit now, but they still have spats.
They ALWAYS seems hungry. Is the zoo feeding them enough? When I watch Momotaro and family at the Kyoto City Zoo. It appears they feed them with a variety of healthy foods.
Why do you always assume the zoo staff do not know what is best for the animals in their care? I follow the Momotaro family and half the people commenting there think the zoo starves them. Are you all primate experts that know better than zoo staff? It would be nice to see a bit more respect for those who work hard to care for these animals and less armchair criticism. Perhaps the gorillas are just behaving like gorillas.
There are as many opinions as there are inhabitants on the planet, therefore each one is responsible for what they think and free to do so, whether they do it from the comfort of an armchair or sitting on a bidet. If a zoo exposes the life of any gorilla family by uploading videos, it is obvious that there are going to be all kinds of comments, it is up to each of us to tolerate those who think differently.
Can anyone please tell me who D’jeeco was holding down was Tayari or Iriki or one then the other one ????? The way Tayari gets up and walks away she seems to be very hurt!!! I hope the zoo keeps look at her to make sure she okay and she doesn’t have any great big bites all over her!!! And Iriki got bit look her over also… please if there is any updates let us know. Tayari is so stressed out she is too intelligent just to sit around and eat she needs stuff to occupy her mind Games puzzles anything anything that would help her

I feel bad for Jabali. His mother is always walking away from him. And here at the end, you can see her worrying about who, most of all? Herself... She'll most likely get better as time goes on though. In my opinion, I think all of this has happened kind of fast for her, and she wasn't quite ready to grow up yet. Time flies though, and before we all know it, those two little boys will be nearing adulthood.
Tayari wanted to kill Iriki and especially Ringo ever since the zoo sent Iriki and D’jeeco away on a honeymoon and she came back pregnant. Taytay must have attacked Iriki at least 5 times a day after that, even when she was disciplined by D’jeeco. She lost her mind and still hasn’t found it to the present day. 😢

Ele sempre atento a família, protege como ninguém, e principalmente pronto pra apartar as brigas da doida e estressada da Tayari. .😁🥰...Djeeco não facilita pra nenhuma, a que ele ver que provocou a briga ele cai em cima pra vale...O tabefe rola solto.😂 Nessa briga, como sempre provocada por Tayari...Iriki só se aproximou dela e ela já não gostou e começou a provocar a briga..Iriki é mais paciente, sempre ameniza os ataques da Tayari, mais chega uma hora que Iriki tem que bater de frente com Tayari... só tenho dó dos filhotes coitadinhos .kkk... The thing is we as human don’t understand that animals don’t like to share, I’m not sure if these gorillas are feeling some kind of way for varies reasons, I’m not mad at any one of them, there actions, could have something to do with aggression, it could be, food, both being protective moms, and who is the alpha female I thing the mothers, and babies need more personal time interacting with the zookeeper handling the mother and their kids, hopefully we the audience will be able to see this happen
Lriki was going to sit with d jeeco and tayari was still mad over the fact of jabali n d jeeco messing around it had nothing to do with food at all don't forget tayari was so mad she had pushed lriki way before the big big fight lriki had gotten up to walk towards tayari n tayari pushed her so lriki just walked away n went to sit somewhere else later again she sat near tayari again so lriki again walkways want to fix things when she should just keep her big mouth shut n mind her own lriki wanted to fine out what happen with jabali tayari didn't want them talking it looks like tayari was grabbing for Ringo really and yes tayari needed that ass beat lriki didn't do the job right because d jeeco got into it he's good for not knowing the whole story before stepping in so I think I got the jest of the big fight .

Iriki was suffering from hormonal imbalances after Ringo's birth. Notice all her missing fur on her arms? She still pulls at her wrist fur a bit. Back 2 years ago, she had enough and needed a day to let loose on Tay. Iriki needed to eat more, she was nursing and coping with changes.

@@tracey9116 Without a doubt, giving life is very complex, for all species. It saddens me sometimes to see Iriki so distant from the others, a little separated from the rest, it probably has to do with this whole process. Thank you so much for your explanation !
@@patriciaemiliagozzi7040 welcome. Gorilla mothers are not immune to pregnancy/birth issues. Did you know they can have lactation/breastfeeding issues? In the wild some mothers can't act produce enough milk and the baby starves. It's so sad, but very true. They can suffer from hormonal issues, as we've witnessed with Iriki. They can have detachment issues (Shabani's mate AI had to be separated from their daughter, AI for some time after her birth) Taipei & their zookeeper take very good care of the D'jeeco family. I'm sure they've given Iriki vitamins/minerals. She has improved in 2024, with a small area of missing fur on her left wrist.
Tayari is trying hard to establish herself as the dominant female. She is aware that Iriki is larger and probably stronger but as long as Ringo is still behind Jabali in development Tayari can take advantage of that. Tayari has always been the aggressor and Jabali is learning that as well! Ringo will be the larger of the males, and I think they know it. Time to intimidate him now, before they can't!
I came back in videos looking for video of Ringo walking when he was younger. He is not even 6 months old in this video if the date is right. Sumomo is a year? About where Jabali is in this video. Ya she needs a lot of remedial training, she is more then 6 months behind. The two sisters have not recovered from this and subsequent drama. That is the problem with Crazy, it is tireless and unrelenting. Tayari created this whole event and could not be happier with the outcome. Sister never got to walk arround her to be by the husband, She got hurt by her sister but her sister got tuned on by her husband. Crazy is happy with that trade.

But the mother of the youngest baby is the ALPHA.. Tayari was the Alpha until Ringo was born. Now shes last in line to enter etc

Woah! Iriki snapped. I feel like this has been building up for awhile between these 2. It will be interesting to see if this fight changes the dynamics in this family. I have a feeling that Tayari might think twice before pushing Iriki around anymore. It was good to see Iriki stand up for herself finally. I hope they all kiss and make up soon. I really hate seeing any of them unhappy & I'm sure both babies were very scared. Good job breaking them up, DJ! I know it's typical in gorilla troops but it's still hard to see. I agree! Tayari seems to always pick on Iriki. Who is always gentle and loving. Tayari, has a habit of being too aggressive. The last time she took things too far with Iriki when they were just playing and DJ had to place her on timeout. So, when you are surround with that energy like Tayari, who constantly picks on you and tries to take your baby. You are going to react. Iriki felt threaten and was protecting her child. I'm happy no one got hurt.

Always remember they're sisters first and they've been fighting with each other for many, many years. They share the same father and Iriki has more of his demeanor and Tay her playful mothers. Poor Jabali! He looked so sad and scared! Who knew a few vegetables could cause such a fight. They should feed the gorillas separately at least until the babies are bigger. Since they are attached to the moms they could be harmed. But I’m sure the keepers will do the best for them.

@@lady4vols yea. I don’t think they do either. I’m still not sure where the gorillas sleep ect ect. Even today when the keeper was trying to feed J,Tayari kept taking his food. Some zoo’s give the gorillas their own bag of snacks and the gorillas go to their areas and eat. No fighting cause food isn’t being tossed everywhere. I think it’s the Vancouver zoo that even has tables and tea in bottles the gorillas drink and eat popcorn out of bags and get to watch a tv monitor! That’s pretty fancy!

🤔 Hmm...I wonder if anything happened before this. It went from all peacefully foraging for 🌻 sunflower seeds to 😵. Iriki gets up probably to move closer to, and sit by D'Jeeco, as she usually does, and then (5:25) Tayari aggressively grabbed her arm. Uh oh! Like I stated yesterday Iriki is definitely making her presence, and position ranking status known in the troop. In other words, Iriki: Damn Tayari (and some other colorful words) I have had it with you trying to boss me around! Let this be the LAST time you grab my arm like that. You're not the boss of me. And I don't wanna have this conversation again! This sent (surprised) Tayari running for her life, Iriki tumbling slightly down the trench, the babies are like, Ok this is different, what is going on", and one beautiful huge silverback 😘 D'Jeeco highly annoyed...about the cat calling noises 😳. Slightly unusual for the sisters to escalate to this degree, but it happens...lady wives do fight. Hopefully Iriki has finally gotten her point across to Tayari. It may take a few more of these. Sometimes Tayari just doesn't quite catch on or get the clue to stop, but she's learning. The sisters do have a close sister bond. I am sure things settled down afterwards.

I think that Tayari was trying to prevent her from going over to sit near D'jeeco. She is very jealous of Iriki being near him. Tayari went out of her way again to grab Iriki and start something. Of course Iriki is going to get fed up with her behavior, Tay always tries to bully and control her. Poor DJ, one wife who is normal, sane and a good mother, the other one is immature, jealous and plain loco.

Iriki is more like her father. In this video, their tension was brewing prior to Tay going near DJ. I'm surprised they didn't fight the first few seconds. Viewers have to remember that the sisters were chosen for D'jeeco for a reason, and they kept him busy all this time. We all know this video has a happy ending, thankfully.

I’m not an animal behaviorist, but if they share emotions and temperaments with humans, then I’d say Iriki acts like a big sister to an immature younger sister. I think there’s only a month’s difference in their ages but developmentally, that makes a difference in their maturation and likely, Iriki always “took care of” Tay growing up, much like Jabali treats Ringo protectively (half the time). Gorilla moms and older siblings seem to have incredible patience with young, annoying babies. But if Tay thinks she should always get her way now that they are sister-wives, she gets a reality check. Gorillas gotta do what gorillas gotta do. They still love each other.

Tay is aggressive, but I’ve seen DJ sit with Iriki in other videos. She quietly approaches and he plays with Ringo in older clips. Tay seems immature to me. Iriki has a peaceful nature. The silverback likes the contrast and Tay gets more air time, but he likes being around calm Iriki too. Be encouraged!
Yeah Iriki went to where the other was eating and that didn’t go over well. Tayari pushed her away and Iriki attacked. Poor babies, just got caught up in the middle. I heard at least one with that high squeal, not sure if both were. Poor Jabali clung to Mama after. Glad that ended and all is well.

Could someone please help me I don't know which gorilla is which. All I know is that the one with the smallest baby was the one that got grabbed and then she went sneaky Mama Bear on the other one. Who appears to have a child older but still little she gets away. So even though she was not the original aggressor she was more aggressive with any baby which would make sense just don't know I would love to find out but I can't tell
The one with the smaller baby is Iriki and her baby is named Ringo, the aggressive mother that grabbed the arm is Tayari with her baby Jabali. The mothers are half sisters. Hope that helps!
Poor Iriki, she really had PPD bad after Ringo. Looking back 2 years now, poor thing plucked her fur bad. She was a ticking timebomb and Ringo had to hang on for the ride. And look at how little he was! He will be 3 this year

In earlier videos, it seems that Tayari doesn't want to be bothered with Jabali. My guess is that she had no real experience, and didn't have a chance to watch any other gorillas with babies. She was only 8 years old when she arrived at the zoo, too young to be taken away from her family. Most often, gorillas are sent to other zoos at 10-11 years old as part of the mating program. Iriki was 8 years old, also, when she arrived at the same time with Tayari, her sister. I think she took better care of Ringo, getting experience anyway she could from Tayari. Also, D'Jeeco seems to favor Iriki more over Tayari. Maybe that is the reason she doesn't seem like she wants anything to do with Jabali, out of jealousy.
No don’t agree, yeah Tay does start the fights but Iriki also is greedy when it comes to food most of the time Tay goes after her for that. As far as who DJeeco prefers it’s fairly obvious he’s always touching an near Tayari she keeps him on his toes. She’s no angel but in terms personality team Tay. @@annemariemcnamara8756 Tay has always been the more playful one, she is definitely like her mother, the dearly departed G'yasi. G'yasi died pretty young, around 20. Iriki is more like her father and he was very calm like D'jeeco. When they were chosen for D'jeeco's mates I knew there would be cat fights between the two and that excelled during Iriki's post partum phase. The sisters have calmed down a bit now, but they still have spats.

Why do you always assume the zoo staff do not know what is best for the animals in their care? I follow the Momotaro family and half the people commenting there think the zoo starves them. Are you all primate experts that know better than zoo staff? It would be nice to see a bit more respect for those who work hard to care for these animals and less armchair criticism. Perhaps the gorillas are just behaving like gorillas.
There are as many opinions as there are inhabitants on the planet, therefore each one is responsible for what they think and free to do so, whether they do it from the comfort of an armchair or sitting on a bidet. I feel bad for Jabali. His mother is always walking away from him. And here at the end, you can see her worrying about who, most of all? Herself... She'll most likely get better as time goes on though. In my opinion, I think all of this has happened kind of fast for her, and she wasn't quite ready to grow up yet. Time flies though, and before we all know it, those two little boys will be nearing adulthood.

Tayari wanted to kill Iriki and especially Ringo ever since the zoo sent Iriki and D’jeeco away on a honeymoon and she came back pregnant. Taytay must have attacked Iriki at least 5 times a day after that, even when she was disciplined by D’jeeco. She lost her mind and still hasn’t found it to the present day. 😢

The thing is we as human don’t understand that animals don’t like to share, I’m not sure if these gorillas are feeling some kind of way for varies reasons, I’m not mad at any one of them, there actions, could have something to do with aggression, it could be, food, both being protective moms, and who is the alpha female I thing the mothers, and babies need more personal time interacting with the zookeeper handling the mother and their kids, hopefully we the audience will be able to see this happen

Iriki was suffering from hormonal imbalances after Ringo's birth. Notice all her missing fur on her arms? She still pulls at her wrist fur a bit. Back 2 years ago, she had enough and needed a day to let loose on Tay. Iriki needed to eat more, she was nursing and coping with changes.

@@patriciaemiliagozzi7040 welcome. Gorilla mothers are not immune to pregnancy/birth issues. Did you know they can have lactation/breastfeeding issues? In the wild some mothers can't act produce enough milk and the baby starves. It's so sad, but very true. They can suffer from
hormonal issues, as we've witnessed with Iriki. They can have detachment issues (Shabani's mate AI had to be separated from their daughter, AI for some time after her birth) Taipei & their zookeeper take very good care of the D'jeeco family. I'm sure they've given Iriki vitamins/minerals. She has improved in 2024, with a small area of missing fur on her left wrist.

Tayari is trying hard to establish herself as the dominant female. She is aware that Iriki is larger and probably stronger but as long as Ringo is still behind Jabali in development Tayari can take advantage of that. Tayari has always been the aggressor and Jabali is learning that as well!
Ringo will be the larger of the males, and I think they know it. Time to intimidate him now, before they can't!
I came back in videos looking for video of Ringo walking when he was younger. He is not even 6 months old in this video if the date is right. Sumomo is a year? About where Jabali is in this video. Ya she needs a lot of remedial training, she is more then 6 months behind. The two sisters have not recovered from this and subsequent drama. That is the problem with Crazy, it is tireless and unrelenting. Tayari created this whole event and could not be happier with the outcome. Sister never got to walk arround her to be by the husband, She got hurt by her sister but her sister got tuned on by her husband. Crazy is happy with that trade.
