We went to Dakar about 5 years ago. It was a spur of the moment trip. My girlfriend and I decided since we had never been to Senegal, we should go since we had days off. 2 days later we flew from Chicago to DC to Dakar. Best trip ever.
I hope you will enjoy this video premiering in one hour ! this must have been epic to decide to go and just leave so fast, I like unplanned adventures too !
Thank you! I was in Dakar 2 years ago. To say the truth, I was shocked a little. Didn't expect that this city, with so rich history, will be in so ungood condition.
22:22 that's where Ousmane Sembene shot many parts of 'xala' several years ago. It was a very important building where business men had conference and discussed very important state matters. Thanks Sir Ludo
The best part of your shows for me personally is when you go into small shops and become one with the locals. The atmosphere gets warmer and I feel like I'm in the same space.
hi kudo so happy to see you again, looking forward always to your videos , i will have to cone back and watch on replay a bit later but just saw notify and wanted to send nessage now wishing you well
thanks so much !!! this is really kind of You !!!! no problem, you can even appreciate the 4K 60 FPS during the replay, i think it must be great for those with a big screen. take care !
YOur videos have become so professionally made. Big Thumb UP!!! I like it that you have black side bars and text in them at the bottom of the screen, it looks really nice. I remember you used to have texts floating on the video which kind of distracting and takes away from the experience but now it looks way better. Well done Ludo.
Senegal, an interesting country; what with a small sovereign country, The Gambia, taking a slice of its territory. A unique way for two countries to define boundaries.
Wish youtube had smell. The streets you walk look surprisingly clean for Africa, there is no trash anywhere. And it all appears very relaxed and a friendly place. I can't help to wonder : where would you as a tourist go if you need a toilet while visiting such streets? Thanks for another interesting walk.
about your question, I would just ask the people around to direct me to the place they use to go. thanks a lot for your support, I am glad you enjoyed the video
Au senegal tu entre dans la première maison pour demander des toilettes ils te disent entrée on a pas se problème par rapport chez les européens en europe même dans les restaurants et bars si tu n’achètes pas quelques chose ils te refuse l’accès aux toilettes
Dakar seems nice and chill, it has a different vibe to kigali. Not a lot of people trying to hustle you. Probably my favorite country after Rwanda, hope to visit it sometime❤
Trust me judging from kigali videos it's way more organised greener and cleaner than dakar and there are lots of people to hustle you around, lots of beggars mainly children, this particular area is the city center it's the most organised part of dakar
Nice tour, it's almost like being there Love it when you inform us about temperature , scents in the streets/buildings such as spices, perfumes, wind, temperature. It makes the journey even more alive and real when we know little things like that 🌺
Again my experiences of Africa became wider, thank you. Very lively market life and a lot to see and hear on the video. When will a device be invented that also transmits scents to the viewer 🙂. For now I can feel the smells of the market, only if I come on the spot.
Ludo, it's good to be in Dakar, Senegal with you....Let me digest this. I'm looking forward to few french conversations between you and the Senegalese.
I wish to travel to Senegal one day. I read some books on ousmane sembene. Can you tell us your travel experience from lagos to Dakar via flight and cost of hotel or nice hotel to stay. Through your videos, I am looking at places to visit.
Welcome Ludo! U finally made it in my hometown. Hope the political rallies didn’t mar your visit in Dakar. Anyway feel @ home! In case u guess who this dud behind these lines i am formely known as Greatfuldead97 in your previous shares! PS: yes u got it right . Chambre de Commerce , as in English, Chamber of Commerce!! & big up 4 the crash history immersion on the “Tirailleurs senegalais”!
thanks so much, I am glad to be here ! i really enjoy Senegal, it is a nice country ! thanks so much , it is nice to see you back again here in the comment section !
I’m glad that the Senegalese people are moving away from the neocolonial ties with France, which allowed France to suck the economic lifeblood out of Africa.
✌👀👍 It's a joke!!! Ludo runs through Senegal and shouts the whole time: I can run again, I can run again. A priest hears this and shouts a miracle has happened, the man can suddenly move his legs. Calls Ludo: don't believe him, my legs were ok but they stole my motorcycle! 😁😂

Thank you! I was in Dakar 2 years ago. To say the truth, I was shocked a little. Didn't expect that this city, with so rich history, will be in so ungood condition.

thanks so much to share these informations with us !
You are right its here xala and the black of sembene
Nice one! The Oyibos are comfortable going into the market to shop for themselves. Same in Gambia. But in Nigeria they don't.
Very true, but the proportion of white foreigners in Dakar is for sure higher than in Lagos
. thanks a lot for watching
The best part of your shows for me personally is when you go into small shops and become one with the locals. The atmosphere gets warmer and I feel like I'm in the same space.

I loved the park right in the center of the city. Lagos needs to learn a thing or two about having a city center.
yes this square is really nice
The marketing skills of Moktar is impressive ! ❤
yeah he is definitively a really good and friendly seller !
100

ah ah ah ah I need to use my legs to lower my sugar level, especially after drinking so much sugary café touba
thankkssss
Le plateau est devenu extrêmement sale. Incroyable.tout est pourri. Où est le maire?
Ike n’ai pas trouvé l’endroit particulièrement sale pour être franc
You don't filmed the good places,only markets😅😅
what should I shoot then ? I like market area myself. and I also liked the independance square.
Ludo liu?? But liu is a chinese last name and You don't look chinese
you are right, but I do have few links with china. thanks a lot to be here in the comment section
meu país esta desenvolvendo.mas muito lentamente.devemos controlar a natalidade !
Porqué ?
@@hugo-di6xm MUITA GENTE,DESENVOLVIMENTO LENTO,FOME E MISERIA.
You were walking too fast I could hardly see anything!!
sorry for that.what media are you using to look at the videos ? a phone ?
did you try on a large screen in 4K it helps.
What city is better organized lagos or dakar?
it is difficult to compare things that cannot be compared. lagos is 20 times more populated than dakar, the challenges are really different
