That comparing between flame score and potential score is... actually a game changer, no cap. I never thought to look at it like that, so I'm gonna go compare what I have vs what I'm missing for each and plan ahead.
Excellent guide on flames, surprisingly very thorough. Only thing missing is that the flame equivalence for all stat and attack grow higher as you progress. A typical late game player with full 22/3L will be looking at something like 1% AS = 13 stat, this can wildly change your perception of how good your item is. Also, biggest take away is that if you think you need to work on flames, 9 times out of 10 you’re wrong. Flames are trash gains for how much you spend. It’s illustrated well in the video where cubing to real 3L is way more efficient than reflaming. At some point in end game, it’s even worth more to double prime your gear than it is to minmax flames. Also at some point, it’s better to 23 star some gear than it is to squeeze more FS out of your items. That’s how hopeless flames can get when you minmax. It’s a very feast or famine system with no “progression” if you use primarily reds. If your target is 140 FS and you happen to get 135, it doesn’t mean you’re any closer to 140, it’s not like we can buy black flames at the general shop. Also don’t be comparing your flames to other people with god flames. Chances are they barely spent anything and just got really lucky, so don’t feel the need to pay up 40bil in flames trying to chase the FS of an item you saw on a smega.
I agree with everything you just said. I just spent 30B flaming my Dreamy Belt. It was 102INT 5% all stat which wasn’t bad tbh. And while I’m content that I hit a 115INT 36LUK 6%all stat flame (178 score) even if it was expensive. I would suggest not spending on flames until there isn’t anything else to spend on, like Duky also suggests. Like I gained ~26 stat increase for such an absurd amount of meso lol
This is awesome. I’m sooooo far off end game. It’s nice to know that I don’t need to worry about flames for a while but at least now I have a rough understanding of how they work
Dude you are a goat. I am ashamed to say I am at end game (283) in Kronos and have played this game for almost two years. I am barely learning about flames and flame score! It’s so hard to know what are considered re-roll/settle flames and giga are giga juiced. I rolled 137/4 on my eternal hat and 126/6 on eternal top, thinking that was so lucky. Then I see someone smega a 149/6 💀 My arcane shoes are so bricked. I think at most they’re 110…
One of the key points Duky really pointed out that I wholeheartedly agree is the priority, which is Star > Pot > Flame. My feeling may be misplaced, but I do feel like Nexon PURPOSELY designed the system to trick players (especially new players) into focusing pot and flame because there is no immediate threat of "losing the item". and this really caused a lot of casual new players to waste hard-earned meso on those stats and feel like they are not getting any stronger when progressing on MS is already being capped by other mechanics.
Yooo, i've been commenting for a flame explanation video on ur previous videos thank you very much this helps alot :) Btw a question i had was do flames transfer ovier when a item is destroyed during star forcing. so if i had a good flame score on my arcane and it got destroyed does transfering over to spare also transfer flames?
Great vid-tho it would have been nice to get a specific section dedicated to gene weapon. I'm october lib so I can't use my 600 black/eternal flames from this past event on it *dying inside* Are there any good ways to get black/eternal flames off event (I know of legion shop but that isnt that many)? Is it even worth spending a bunch of money on red flames where I can't event get T7 Attack or do I just have to settle until next event?
I have no statistics background but i think looking at average costs vs median is actually more accurate to how it feels to play ingame with things with such high variance and across many items like sf cubes and flames
its actually the opposite, i've found median to be more accurate cuz the average has ppl who spend like 500b for a mid flame and ppl who spend 1 flame factored into it
@Duky yes but the reasoning is that because its a high variance statistic, its more likely that you will either be part of the lucky or unlucky than normal, on lower variance being unlucky or not would still be close to the median. For instance if you suggested someone to roll their seren emblem for 3l att, you wouldnt suggest them to save up 28b, the median, youd probably recommend at least 40b which is the average (tell me if im wrong though would love to learn)
my guild is Star, 265+. You can join if you can hit that and wanna keep progging. I don't have a patreon but Thank you for becoming a member! I'll update the outro asap
Quick question why do i see players with 200m combat power with sweetwater gear that has insane flames but when i roll my flames on my sweetwater gear i get like the same flames i get on my gollux gear
Since events give flames, i use them to try getting t7 att on my arcane with boss since im not even remotely close to getting genesis. Never beat vhilla so no bm for me 😅
4:21 weapons base 103 is nowhere on the screen... need to explain better edit: nvm I found it there. you should point out which white number among an ocean of numbers lol
istg hayato is like the lamest samurai character in game ever, the skills moveset isn't what a samurai should depict at all if they're this bad why not just copy vergil moveset instead of making something so lame
greatest video ever, been playing for years n i have no clue how flames work😭

This was a huge help! I have always been slightly confused on flames and this cleared it all up so well. Thank you!!
i didn't know i needed a masters degree in maplestory
The current king of maple content, especially from a beginners perspective. Absolute legend.
i was visited flame wiki sometimes but still doesn't know flame work
and this video clear my mind, thanks!!
Also, rolling damage % on a weapon will inflate the damage increase, so it can trick you if you're trying to roll for higher flame score.
From the leveling guide to the tier lists to other guides like this, each one is high value. U got my sub after 3 vids bro 🫶
I love your videos, they are much more helpful than written out guides. Duky, helping visual learners everywhere
finally, i now understand that main stat and mix stat add up and that's how we get those weird numbers on the stat flames lol.. thanks a lot duky

Be sure to bank roll extra meso to protect B4 20. The boom chance looks small but it happens more often than you'd think.
I actually thought the vid was so damn well written.. the flow was so good I feel* like I have a phd on flames
Yessssss. This is the guide I was waiting for you to do 😭😭😭
Yooo, i've been commenting for a flame explanation video on ur previous videos thank you very much this helps alot :) Btw a question i had was do flames transfer ovier when a item is destroyed during star forcing. so if i had a good flame score on my arcane and it got destroyed does transfering over to spare also transfer flames?
flame stays when you boom. Flame stays when u transfer stars
hello duky ty for pumping content out lately
I definitely called you a nerd while watching this 😂🔥 very good video
Thanks for making this vid. i finally understand flames
Enjoy your video very much. Could you make a new video all about cubes ? (Planning and effective way for cubing)
Bro this guy is reading my mind on content i need at this ppint
ty as a new player this was wayyyy overwhelming but I kinda get it now
Great vid-tho it would have been nice to get a specific section dedicated to gene weapon.

just use reds to get like t6 att with 10 boss and then wait for event flames
@@Dukythanks!

Indeed the best ultimate guide
Imagine the level of yap duky will be on after couple lines, holy 🥶🥶🥶🥶🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
Awesome guide once again
Duky is goated on guide content. Where do I support on patreon? And do you have a guild that help run/carry guildies? (Hyperion)

this guy is the GOAT
2 minutes and no comments Duky fell off smh
How do you literally post the vid after i think about needing it?
Quick question why do i see players with 200m combat power with sweetwater gear that has insane flames but when i roll my flames on my sweetwater gear i get like the same flames i get on my gollux gear
They used to be able to get higher flames in the past through transposing, not anymore.
love this guide ty
so if the all stat 1% = 10 fstat, 1 att = 3 fstat, how much does 1% boss damage or 1% damage give compared to flat stat?
GOAT GUIDES OMGG!1!
Thank you very much
What flame score should I be aiming for my bossing mules?
anything is fine
Oh nah duky fr the goat
Genius!
Since events give flames, i use them to try getting t7 att on my arcane with boss since im not even remotely close to getting genesis. Never beat vhilla so no bm for me 😅
I sacked 218 matt with boss% dmg% and int, so gassed
W video🎉
How do i know what is my secondary stats
Google it
Pooperdog111 goated
The only reason he made this guide is for sure cuz his flames started expiring lmao
LMFAO
CHILSSSSSSSSSSSSS
