You know what??? I think vighāta-dakṣa is the missing piece I was looking for at the end, trying to see if Mantreshwar overlooked the servile nature of Aquarius. Vighāta-dakṣa ("expertise with problematic things") means that Aquarius is able to deal effectively with things most people don’t want to deal with. Saturn, the owner of Aquarius, does not consider any deed to be “beneath” him. And air, the element of Aquarius, likes to please people. So Aquarius, hoping to please people, will take care of the things they don’t want to deal with: chores, hard work, and lackluster deeds.

I translated vighāta-dakṣa as "warding off evil intentions" and I think "expertise with problematic things" is also true. The meaning seams to convey that aquarius having a pot can protect things or people by hiding them or avoiding them being seen by people with bad intentions. In doing so aquarius has do deal with difficult things or difficult people. As an aquarius with many aquarians in my life I can attest to this, we are very protective of people and also ideas from ill intent from others, we also fear it when the self esteem is not developed enough (leo).

- being very receptive & once accumulated enough wanting to share that abundance as well

Aquarius rising here, this couldn’t be more true. I am listening to this as I drive up to visit another town, with my car packed to the brim, lots of make up on to hide my blemishes, caffeine to hide my fatigue. I complain about having A chaotic life from all the traveling I do, but I know that I get bored really easily too. Lmao. Thank you.

I have aquarius rising in my d9 chart, sometimes I relate more to that, but covering evil interpretation to me is that we don't want to focus on negatives. What we focus on expands. I'm known as a problem solver. I like to get to the part where we are all well and enjoying life. I attributed this to my parents telling me you will have time to have fun when the work is done. I really enjoyed the piece about traveling light. I've started over more times than I can count. My father would throw away things when it got too hectic and he would always say they're just things I'll get it for you again. I learned all you really need in life is what you can carry. im glad to hear that. i am not very experienced with aquarius, so I was just blindly translating and making sense of it from the theory alone and just a few cases of known individuals. (in contrast to Capricorn, which is practically everyone I know, lol)

Even ur brief description of Mars in Dhanista (which is what i have) was spot on for me. I always have a hard time wrapping my head around the description of the Air element & Fixed modality. It finally makes sense to me.
@@VicDiCaraAstrology spot on! As an aquarius rising with sun there too I can add that "covering evil" also works with other people because you either want to "fix" people or cover their flaws. So you could easily become a servant/healer or an image consultant/makeup artist, etc. I can also see the pot theme trapping space as trying to grasp ethereal subjects that are difficult to define and thus making you a natural researcher or artist.
Aquarius’ combination of water carrying air makes me think of clouds 🌧

I'm definitely a problem solver and never stop thinking. Aquarius rising. Pisces stellium in second house with Venus, Saturn, sun, moon and mercury. Jupiter in Taurus. I have regularly selected interior design items and saw them become a trend a couple of years later. Flower designs in particular. Lol
Bro's Saturn is a mixed bag. Venus and Mercury are helping Saturn while Sun and Moon are hurting Saturn. When Saturn is pure good you also get the ability to stop thinking to conserve energy thus giving you even more of an ability to solve problems especially with things you aren't passionate about.

its just that pouring water was the most basic job of the servant. and that is what aquarius is all about: service.

My late husband had Leo rising and sun and moon in Libra. I have Aquarius rising and sun and moon in Pisces. Of all the people I had long term relationships, he is the only one who I had a marriage like relationship with. (Bought a house).

Hi Vic, I wanted to ask about the sign of Aquarius in Jyotish. Could the symbol be related to the story about Dhanvantari emerged from the Ocean of Milk and appeared with the pot of amrita (elixir of immortality) during the Samudra Manthana, whilst the ocean was being churned by the devas and the asuras, using the Mandara mountain and the serpent Vasuki? Is there a connection with Shatabisha nakshatra?
Bit off topic but I was wondering with all the clashes between element, mode or ruler between Capricorn and Aquarius, why doesn’t Gemini face that issue with its description? As an air sign ruled by the Mercury which is a planet that represents the earth element right? Wouldn’t some of the issues parallel Capricorn & Aquarius?
Good question! Could it be because Mercury is rather neutral and interactive by nature while Saturn is a malefic associated with negativity? Also, both Mercury-ruled signs are dual unlike Saturn's, one being cardinal and the other fixed.
Time. Time (Saturn) is the liquid (essence)that Aquarius holds. Time, the bubble that holds all of life. It’s fluid yet made of “air” and contains all the information of “life”. It is also the 2nd from Pisces. Which means that Aquarius perceives all Pisces energy in an objective and scientific way. Capricorn is the structure itself, Time itself. It restricts or contains. (Because it comes after sag it IS the EXPERIENCE itself. Whereas w mercury, it’s the information itself. Virgo sees the patterns. Gemini communicates it. Virgo brings the esoteric into the physical by CREATING tangible. (AFTER Leo) Communication of that information. In order for Gemini to perceive that information it must first wade in the waters of consciousness and then pluck it from the ether. That means it first must experience. (Sag opposite!)Be it from others or from self. Also 2nd from aqua is Aries aqua values independence, whereas Gemini has cancer in the 2nd house. Gemini values home, safety, stability etc. which brings me to my last consideration (sorry for my rant lmfao) the opposite of Capricorn is cancer, and for aqua it’s Leo. Two opposite energies honestly. You have the sun and moon. Whereas Gemini and Virgo opposites are both rules by Jupiter. Sag and Pisces. Jupiter is our guru ;) because In living, you learn :)

Mercury is being earth and saturn being air is an odd thing, because mercury is light and saturn heavy. So saturn doesnt really have any problems with earth (at least not dry earth), and Mercury doesnt have any problems with air, especially not fragrant air. The clash in Saturn signs is not really with its ruler, but between the mode and element. Cap is Movable Earth (cardinal). And Aquarious is Stationary Air (fixed). Thats the clash. Gemini has no such clash - it is Moving-Staying Air, or Back and Forth Air. Perfect. Even too perfect, Gemini goes a little overboard, if we want to see its flaw.

The part about liking beauty enhancements/fixing - as a child one of my favourite shows was "Extreme Makeover" where they'd take ugly ducklings with low self esteems due to their appearance and give them a huge surgical makeover. It made me really familiar with all the surgery options. And I myself had 1 protruding ear that stuck out (not both) and I was sooooo insecure. I begged my mother to let me get surgery on it to get pinned back. I had that procedure at 15.
Another thing - no matter how much money I make, always finding that I "need" so many more things and spending it all anyway.
Lastly, Nicki Minaj had surgery on her ass so was not always that thick. But don't forget the Saggy element i suppose - because I too am a Sag sun and Aqua rising. I was always quite relatively slim compared to family and yet had the most ass and thighs nonetheless. Definitely NOT shapeless.
Can the pot be the broken pot from the tarot signifying our ooen wounds that people can see. Also maybe our body reveals our wounds.

I am an Aquarius rising and I can be in difficult environments and bring calm to people. I think it's the Leo descendant where the presence of a lion can instill calm.

Hi Vic, must I say I enjoy and love your videos. They are so informative and have taught me great things and has helped me with my personal growth and journey.
I must say however I am a bit confused with the charts. I have a vedic chart that showed me that I am a Capricorn rising, with Capricorn moon and Scorpio Sun. However, with the Vedic Tropical chart in your website or the link provided, it shows that my ascendant is Aquarius.
I guess my question is if I should take these results with a grain of salt and take what resonates? I watched the video you made on Capricorn rising and I related to almost everything about it, however, not much from Aquarius.
I would love to know your input.

you should ignore the charts cast with sidereal signs. trying to make sense of them will not lead you to consistant, steady, reliable, deep, objective information.
