about the ethics of dropshipping: i don’t see dropshipping as a bad things ethically because every retail store (walmart, target, walgreens, etc.) sell items that they didn’t make themselves. i see it as okay also because you are helping the manufacturer and original producer of those items sell their items which helps make them money since they’re getting sales. you pretty much are doing advertising for them, and get to set your profit margins for helping them sell their product for them.
oh and also i bought a domain name website for $12 for a year of ownership to start affiliate marketing for amazon products and made the website using blogger (which is free) and hopefully will start making money soon but it takes a while to get traffic
@@Omar-ir4gk err I mean I guess that’s one way to look at it - but I don’t personally agree: the retail stores you mention either get their items from wholesalers or credit the brands (if they have a selection of brands) - but for dropshipping, you’re not buying from wholesalers, but rather from brands, and taking their product images / marketing but now switching it for a different country’s audience! If you were to buy from wholesalers as well that’s fine, as that will be basically making your own store - anyhow, just a few thoughts
Well explained. Thanks for bringing up the videos financial education is indeed required for more than 70% of the society in the country as very few are literate on the subject.
I hope people remember that for a lot of these newer side hustles (ESPECIALLY the e-publishing and dropshipping) you need a business license, proper tax forms, etc. And this all adds up to the startup costs. You can get into serious legal & financial trouble selling stuff en masse online and not taking tax into account or your state/country's laws about it
Shoutout to Chloe for including a sponsor that is actually interesting to her audience... And also getting the ad out of the way super early and fully disclosed!! Thank you!
this might be weird but like i love how fast you speak like this video didn’t feel long at all! And yeah that point about crypto/stocks needs to be emphasized more. I tried doing it with like $200 last year and would get such a practically useless amount 😭 these online investors that give advice always forget to say that they’re starting off with $50k in their portfolio
YEAH -- every time I see "how i make $XXX passively with crypto" 100% of the time they're starting with a massive base amount ;-; which is very cool and aspirational but definitely not something entry-level investors can achieve HAHA
Funny enough but i can only say it depends on broker. Even as the crypto market price is depreciating, I'm still making great profits. Though 200 is too poor. I had to start with 1k and with the help of my mentor, i make not less than 7k every 20days with crypto bot.
Love this video, but I gotta say something about plasma donating because I’ve been donating plasma a lot before. With some plasma centers, it’s typically twice a week as long as it’s two or so days apart from the first and second donation of the week. Some people do this consistently every week, for others it’s not as consistently, it all depends on your health and your time management. Because I know with a plasma center I donate at, with checking in at the computer, going through screening, waiting in line for a bed, and donating, it can range from an hour- two and a half hours, depending how busy or how slow a plasma center gets. And each plasma center companies have different ways of paying out to the donors. Some tips I have with those that are thinking of donating plasma. 1) STAY HYDRATED. This is a huge key as to how smoothly the donation process goes. My recommendation is alkaline water since that gives you more hydration in a bottle or two. But I go the extra mile for three or four. 2) Eat a lot of protein. When you get screened, two of the few things the phlebotomists or the people that screens you check you for are iron and protein levels (along with temperature, heart beat per minute, & weight). If your prone to iron deficiency, plasma donation isn’t highly recommended because you’ll be pretty disappointed when you find out that your level isn’t where it needs to be. A source of protein I highly recommend using is Greek yogurt of any kind. You just have to check the nutrition chart and you’ll find how many grams of protein are in a certain amount of serving. Eating vanilla chobani yogurt is a life saver for my plasma donations. 3) for those that deal with anxiety or rapid high heart beats at 100 or over, the best you can do is take deep steady breaths. Don’t do it rapidly, cause that will increase your heart rate. Take a breath for 5-8 seconds, hold it for 3-5 seconds, & exhale at 5-8 seconds. The 4-7-8 breathing technique is a good one to use. If you can, you can sit or lay in a relaxed position when getting screened and just think about something that calms you down, for me I think of the beach or ocean of my hometown in Texas. Another thing to do is, going back to hydration, is drinking cold water. That can do wonders to calm the heart rate down as you’re also doing breathing techniques. I’m very anxiety driven and very prone to rapid heart rates even when I don’t do cardio or any exercise, another best thing even just outside of plasma donating is drinking lavender and chamomile tea, and have someitamins that helps with anxiety & stress relief. Yes, there’s a vitamin for that. I use Nature’s Bounty Anxiety & Stress Relief Ashwagandha KSM - 66. It’s two tablets daily. Just use it at your own discretion, but if you’re somehow allergic to that certain vitamin, I don’t recommend it. I give this third tip because certain plasma centers when getting screened, one of a donor requirements is that his/her/their heartbeats is at 100 or below bpm. I believe somewhere above 50 bpm (beats per minute). Research is KEY, so that you know what you’re getting yourself into when donating plasma at a certain plasma center company. All in all, it’s a good way to make extra money!
if anyone is into shoes, clothing, collectibles, etc. i would recommend looking into reselling those items. been doing this over my high school years and its been a vibe :)
Hey Chloe! I just want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MENTIONING THE ETHICAL CONSEQUENCES OF EACH OPTION. I find that most of the time my personal moral system holds me back from pursuing new side hustles and I just thought that maybe I was being too uptight. You made me feel heard :)
I used to sell my plasma! It was twice a week, and I generally made 200-250$ a month, depending on wether they had promotions. It paid for my gas and extra expenses and was definitely worth it!
@@OOoKarmaoOOyes. Plasma is everything but the RBCs in blood. Those are spun out in a machine then delivered back to you with saline at the end. This is why you can give more often that giving blood but you still need a day in between donations.
I do loan signings and it’s perfect for me. I make about $2.1-2.5k VERY part time and usually take a week off every month. And it’s fun meeting new people and seeing how people’s families operate and stuff. I work about 10 hours a week maybe give or take. This summer I have started working more and am on track to earn about 5-6k a month, still very part time bc I’m taking time to relax, have been focusing on moving, sewing, and having a friends come visit; tho I may take time off to do a trip to visit my bf so we’ll see
hi! Im very interested in learning more about this, whats process like? Is it like in the video where she said she guessed people reach out for an appointment and you can accept the job offer or not? I saw u also needed specialty training for a loan signing agent.
I work at a thrift store and wanted to talk about the secondhand thing. 1. Very lucrative side hustle if you have the time. You have to think about the time it takes to create listings (From what I can tell, instagram is good for promoting your listings but people usually make listings on lookup or ebay n stuff.) and hunt for clothes. I work for a chain and transferred stores and you see the same people. They'll drive around and sometimes visit 2-3 stores in a day, 5+ on sale days. 2. They pretty much look for tags at stores that don't mark up. You' re not going to find a mint condition gucci coat that was somehow overlooked, you're going to find a lot of $40-60 clothes that you can buy for ~$6-9 and sell for around $20-40. They like to talk to the employees to see if there are certain days or times where more stuff gets put out. 3. Can be have dry spells depending on the staffing. 4. As far as it being ethical, I think it can be an awful cycle. I don't mind the nice people that want a small benefit from something that everyone else is already doing, including the company itself. Thrift store chains now have their own e-commerce department to compete with these people. Overall, you're rarely going to see higher priced treasures at a thrift store because of these resellers. It also probably has heavily affected the pricing over the years because its allllll about margins with resellers. I've literally had someone haggle with me and say 'that margin just won't work for me.' Okay??? But if you're nice, sure, we might even hold stuff for you that we wouldn't normally put on the floor but could sell to you.
i gotta say tho selling ur OWN secondhand clothings or shoes (not buying them from goodwill) that don't fit u anymore or u never wear is more sustainable than giving it away for charityshops cause many clothing donations gets thrown into the landfill still, by selling it ur directly giving it another home! love ur video so much!!
You're a big inspiration, especially coming from me as a high school junior! Would love to hear more about your journey from when you were in high school / transitioning into college :)
Great video! As a recent graduate, having some side income really helped to get through those university years. I love that you included how much it costs to start and if it is sustainable since many tend to overlook that and skip to the actual hustle at once. This helps many beginners to know what they need and what they should have to be able to start these hustles.
This is very helpful! I think driver's license is very important for some reason. Well at least in my place, it's not public transportation-based, so anything that needs any movement is very hard. The most possible out of this is online tutoring or hired based online services.
you are so honest and detailled you almost took me a tear. Firstly because the video was very great, and secondly because i realised they are few things i can make money with.
@K dude, dropshipping only works for established brands...youn cant just start dropshipoing from scratch with 0 customers waiting for your website to launch.
wow the hustle is real I remember Erika Kullberg mentioning that she pays her virtual assistant a solid amount and I suppose that falls under freelancing. And I've been on 'study/work with me' streams on twitch and it's a completely different experience from TH-cam because of chat. idk twitch changes you. I wonder about podcasting for college students hmmmm
I've watched you since the beginning of your channel when i considered applying for UChicago and was binging your application advice ❤️ Glad to see the channnel grows!!!
Possible for me: - blog - medium writing - freelancing (graphic design, video editing, etc) - social media manager - selling empty books - selling coloring books - selling art prints - selling your items
this video is rlly helpful thank you!! and also with dropshipping there are soo many ethical issues... for example, the fact that factory workers are paid close to nothing to mass produce the products you'd sell on your website AND the environmental impact of shipping mass-produced, polyester products all the way across the globe... it's just not worth it imo.
OMG Chloe can we plz have a video of your take on sustainable fashion, stuff like that????? Btw ur content is just amazing and the amount of time and effort u put into this TH-cam channel I- We don’t deserve uuuuuu🥺
YAY I would love to talk about sustainable fashion / my personal opinion on fashion etc but it's so different than the content i usually post im scared ahhh 🥺
I like what you do and the way you talk, I'm a fast talker and easily get bored of people talking too slowly or (rarely) too fast, but the rhythm you talk in is just good and I don't feel bored even though i knew most of them, also, keep it up, your content is always short and straightforward and i like it
Great video as always Chloe! As a college student, one of my favorite hustles is buying and selling coins! Been collecting for a while and a specialized in the coins of historical China and Korea. Quite a hot market! Lots of research and variety analysis! :D Keep it up!

I am thinking of helping students with making their college schedules and four year plans? But I don’t know how to start. Does anyone think that this is a good idea? I really like the blog idea, I might look into that more! Always look forward to your videos! 💜
That actually does sound like a good plan! My friends just got a job at her university as a peer counselor, basically doing all the things you mentioned. I’m sorry about not knowing how to start though :( Maybe you could incorporate the freelancing aspect into it and start on Fiverr or Upwork to sell your services to students in need (and offer to research requirements, type up a plan, things like that)
@@mikaeleugh546 I will definitely look into those. I am actually doing something similar to your friend on campus. But I want to do something for a larger audience, if that makes sense.
Drop shipping makes me so uncomfortable ethically. Not only are you up selling other people’s stuff, but you’re also selling stuff that isn’t that high quality and putting a high quality price tag on it. Just find something that you can make yourself to sell
glad you liked it!! This was actually my second film & edit :’) first time took 4 hours before I gave up on saving the footage and this video took 8 hours HAHAHAH

DoorDash is a good hustle if you have a car. You can manage time nicely actually because it gives you the option to decline an order, pause your dash, end your current dash, and schedule your dash. You can dash for an hour or even for 30 minutes.

Hey Chloe! Keep up the great videos! A question about tutoring. Do you tutor off of your laptop or your ipad? Is there an app where you can simultaneously share your screen while still being able to share your face? What is your set up like? Thanks so much! I'm just getting started with tutoring online and was hoping you might have some tips!
about the secondhand thing it's mostly worth it if it's vintage/designer, it's more about being able to really fig and find some exeptional things online/in thrift stores and knowing some things about fashion (trends, quality, history..). Sometimes It works w things what are only cute or very on trend but then the margin is v low. Howerver It does take a quite a los if time, i think It has to be something you rly enjoy doing and you have to have a previous interest to have a trained eye i guess
There are so many young people on social media promoting side hustles. These are all short lived and over hyped. I appreciate that you mentioned you have an actual stable primary source of income. Selling second hand clothes never made sense to me. Why would I spend $50 dollars on something from a thrift shop? I feel like I’m robbing peoples money for my benefit.
I’m a plasma donor at BioLife and I can go twice a week and they constantly do deals where they give you anywhere from $600 to $1000 a month (they tell you what you’ll get in advance) if you donate twice a week and you get a $120-$200 bonus if you refer someone
Yes!! I’m trying to do one sit down one vlog alternating so I can balance both, and yes! Will be going over some productivity tips soon :)) (esp with finals wrapping up lmao)
"you're selling stuff that's other peoples and pretending it's your own". Pretty much every high street brand does this. In fact every store. Buying from a supplier then selling it on = commerce.
an u make a vid on sharing apartments vs dorms? i’m trying to thing about affordability but also i feel like an apartment would be nicer in terms of having a full kitchen and nicer bathrooms, etc

@K dude, dropshipping only works for established brands...youn cant just start dropshipoing from scratch with 0 customers waiting for your website to launch.
Onnethox Facebook ads and google ads are really effective
Love this independent review of so many options.
Thank you for all these honestly also your voice is so nice, I can hear you talk all day and with all the research you did!
wow the hustle is real
I remember Erika Kullberg mentioning that she pays her virtual assistant a solid amount and I suppose that falls under freelancing.
I love your way of speaking so much!!!! You speak fast but understandable ahhh
As a student looking for a side hustle this is so informative! Also your sweater is so cool :)
Possible for me:
- blog
- medium writing
- freelancing (graphic design, video editing, etc)
- social media manager
- selling empty books
- selling coloring books
- selling art prints
- selling your items
I also get really caught up in the ethics of side hustles like drop shipping. I don’t wanna be selling stuff made in sweatshops!
the tierlist i didn't know i needed, thank you for the content!
This is one of the most relevant side hustles videos ive seen on here
♡ hope this was a lil bit helpful!!
Absolutely & I was confused b/w Affiliate & Dropshping & This video came up! i'm convinced now.
omg really love your content 😳 love how straight forward and transparent you are ❣️ and you go exactly to the point
this video is rlly helpful thank you!! and also with dropshipping there are soo many ethical issues... for example, the fact that factory workers are paid close to nothing to mass produce the products you'd sell on your website AND the environmental impact of shipping mass-produced, polyester products all the way across the globe... it's just not worth it imo.
Daym never in my experience watching TH-cam i would double check my speed, coz i would turn it up sometime
OMG Chloe can we plz have a video of your take on sustainable fashion, stuff like that?????
Btw ur content is just amazing and the amount of time and effort u put into this TH-cam channel I-
We don’t deserve uuuuuu🥺
YAY I would love to talk about sustainable fashion / my personal opinion on fashion etc but it's so different than the content i usually post im scared ahhh 🥺
you're so cute and hyperactive and I'M HERE FOR IT
I like what you do and the way you talk, I'm a fast talker and easily get bored of people talking too slowly or (rarely) too fast, but the rhythm you talk in is just good and I don't feel bored even though i knew most of them, also, keep it up, your content is always short and straightforward and i like it
Can you do a video on your time management plz, would love to see it!!!! xoxo
Great video as always Chloe! As a college student, one of my favorite hustles is buying and selling coins! Been collecting for a while and a specialized in the coins of historical China and Korea. Quite a hot market! Lots of research and variety analysis! :D Keep it up!
I loooove how realistic and functional your content is❤❤❤
Literally one of the best videos about side hustles you give so much information!!

Man, did I just watched a 21 min video? Good job girl. Keep doing what you're doing
But I want to do something for a larger audience, if that makes sense.
doing the lords work with these vids thank u chloe xx
Drop shipping makes me so uncomfortable ethically. Not only are you up selling other people’s stuff, but you’re also selling stuff that isn’t that high quality and putting a high quality price tag on it. Just find something that you can make yourself to sell
hi!! good luck for your finals :")
;’) thank you!! (And thank you for watching till the end hehe)
This girl is so impressive! So smart and filming such a condensed informative video during finals week. @.@ how is she doing this?
DANG CHLOE this was such a thorough video dude thanks so much! Also your edits are so CLEAN how long does it take you?
glad you liked it!! This was actually my second film & edit :’) first time took 4 hours before I gave up on saving the footage and this video took 8 hours HAHAHAH
@@asynchloe HEY it was obv worth it dude love ur aesthetic
Just watched two of your videos, subscribed, and now I'm about to grab a bag of chips and binge-watch your channel! I love your vibe and how you go straight to the point. Please don't stop making videos✨
I discovered your channel just recently and what I love about you is that your advices are specific and practical (not just some generic empty words). Also, watching your videos doesn't feel like a waste of time. You talk quickly, you focus on the important points, and your videos are well-structured. Subscribed!
as a junior in high school looking for side hustles that I can do from home and aren't too, time consuming these were perfect! Especially the Medium one because I like writing a lot :)
I work at my college library and im honestly not making enough to buy my own apartment, thank you for this
It’s good that you speak quickly and clearly convey your ideas. I can’t often do this. Do you have thoughts on gold, silver or coins?

im glad you were 100% with everything honestly I've had very similar thoughts about these things and this just helped confirm some of my doubts
i'm a simple feller, i see "New Chloe Tan Video", i click watch, i like, i share with the homies.
thank u good sir

DoorDash is a good hustle if you have a car. You can manage time nicely actually because it gives you the option to decline an order, pause your dash, end your current dash, and schedule your dash. You can dash for an hour or even for 30 minutes.
this is amazing - well researched, clear, concise and to the point, and well organized!! thank you, and hope your finals went well :)
Yessss make vlogs about it I'm literally obsessed with your channel
Honestly didn’t think you were the F bomb type after watching several of your videos. I was pleasantly surprised to hear it at the 6:31 mark. SUBSCRIBED!
Literally love the way you talk
I just love how real you are!

I absolutely loved this video!! Super helpful for us students and I'm in love with your style of explaining! Thank you so much!!!
OgmyGod, I love your vid, your voice, even how fluent in speaking, very clear and convincing that we should give it a try 😍💙
30 years old and finding myself wishing you were my classmate in college. Thanks for sharing!
Very great advice and love her voice! I definitely had to keep up, haha. She talks so fast, I felt like I had to take a breath/pause for her! 😂❤️
OMGGGGG YOURE A LITERAL ANGEL!!!❤❤❤
here before this blows up bc i know fs it will
♡ AHH that would be insane ;’)
Aye congrats on your first sponsor!!
Aaaa thank you 🥺
Hey Chloe! Keep up the great videos! A question about tutoring. Do you tutor off of your laptop or your ipad? Is there an app where you can simultaneously share your screen while still being able to share your face? What is your set up like? Thanks so much! I'm just getting started with tutoring online and was hoping you might have some tips!
this was really good. Finally someone who tells the right things not that everything in easy money.
when i get my exam results in August, im gonna start tutoring. Might start making my website today so im prepared! :)

Watched the whole thing! Thank you Chloe, this was so helpful 🥰
ahhh I’m so glad ☻ thank you sm!! ♡
Good luck on your finals! I'm taking the LSAT for the first time this week so I could use a little luck as well.
WOAH that’s intense - good luck!!
about the secondhand thing it's mostly worth it if it's vintage/designer, it's more about being able to really fig and find some exeptional things online/in thrift stores and knowing some things about fashion (trends, quality, history..). Sometimes It works w things what are only cute or very on trend but then the margin is v low. Howerver It does take a quite a los if time, i think It has to be something you rly enjoy doing and you have to have a previous interest to have a trained eye i guess
I love the dedication and value you bring to each video. It’s always genuine and to-the-point. Love your content sm, chloe! 🤗❤️
I’m a plasma donor at BioLife and I can go twice a week and they constantly do deals where they give you anywhere from $600 to $1000 a month (they tell you what you’ll get in advance) if you donate twice a week and you get a $120-$200 bonus if you refer someone
hi from Shanghai! Could u do more vlogs or productivity related videos?
Yes!! I’m trying to do one sit down one vlog alternating so I can balance both, and yes! Will be going over some productivity tips soon :)) (esp with finals wrapping up lmao)
Yey new video, new things fo try and more knowledge. Thank You Chloe ✨✨✨
gosh, she is so mature... ppl in my colelge r just looking for an internship that pays a decent amount of money
"you're selling stuff that's other peoples and pretending it's your own". Pretty much every high street brand does this. In fact every store. Buying from a supplier then selling it on = commerce.
Here within first 10 minute! Getting faster each video! ✋🤚
🥺🥺
This is amazing Chloe! Thank you for the informative video and kudos for getting your very first sponsor! I hope it is the first of many :))
an u make a vid on sharing apartments vs dorms? i’m trying to thing about affordability but also i feel like an apartment would be nicer in terms of having a full kitchen and nicer bathrooms, etc
I love your points in your final notes.. Keep doing you.
you talk fast enough for me not to skip any parts =)) btw I love your content a lot.
I've never even considered monetizing my blood plasma; I'm such a slacker.
Love the colors in your outfit and background!
