A friend of mine is big into AI and noticed that it's noticeably dumbed down over the last year. As if they are getting programmed to be more vague.

What they probably lost was open access to good data for the LLMs. A lot of people thought the moves by Twitter/X and Reddit as well as others was to cut out third party apps, but they really didn't care about that so much as limiting access to crawlers that were aggregating data for LLMs.

So what I heard on this stream was that every time a rare drop just isn't happening, instead of Shawn we have to blame chatGPT for fudging the drop rate? Not sure if this is acceptable! We need a meatsack to hate for it, not a computer program!

There'll be a variety of ever more complex implementations of this over time.
Not sure we'll ever go that path, but who knows where the future will lead us.
