Loved the look of that wee cook pot! Just catching up on your videos. All the viewpoints and filming of them are great as always! That layby parkup past Port William was good as you say just having to cross the road to get to the beach. Lovely!
Thanks. It was a good location but I didn't sleep much, even though the road was quiet. I think cos it was on a bend it made me nervous, but it is a great location to just cross over and walk Wolfie on the beach, which he enjoyed.
Wow what a lovely spot, never heard of sea cabbage brilliant, Helen you got us all excited about our imminent return to Scotland, the pot is a good idea for off grid.. have a great weekend 🙏👍🚌👊
Thanks both. We've seen the sea cabbages in Dorset too and you can eat them, but you have to take the tender stems. Never tried it though, I'm not brave enough lol.
Some of the cars were fast but only a out 4 went past in the night. I did feel restless all night though, as I didn't feel completely relaxed until I got up lol.
Aw, George, that is so very, very kind of you and very much appreciated too.😊 I am gobsmacked by your generosity. You live in a very beautiful part of Scotland. Dumfries and Galloway is probably my favourite part of Scotland.🏴❤️
Loved this video Helen. I did giggle when you got to the top of those steps at the hill fort. "They nearly killed me" 😅. Glad you explained what that tinkling sound was too 😂😂. Well done on that layby park up. Think i would have been awake all night. Take care. 😊
I was awake most the night lol. I did get some sleep but I didn't settle well, more so cos it was on a curve in the road. I did think when I watched the video back that the tinkling sound sounded dodgy😂😂 I think I visit a hill fort in the next one too, but you drive quite steep and high to get to the car park, so it's a much easier walk.
Lovely part of the country - wolfie was loving being out Well done staying in the lay-by as seemed a bit exposed but if it’s quiet then they’re ok and nice all it’s about budget and where you spend your money Nice day parkup especially for services at stairhaven sad l made a note of that
I felt nervous in the layby because of the speed of some of the cars, but I only had to cross the road to walk Wolfie by the beach so it was in a good location. And it was free lol. Stairhaven is a cracking place. OK, you can't stay, but it's great to relax for a good few hours. Get your stuff done, have your dinner and then move on. It's got a really nice feel about the place.
Those steps 🥴, what you do for us, definitely worth it for the view though. Would like to sit in that bay with a nice cuppa enjoying the view. That cook pot is ideal for you (especially as you can make enough for two days), food looked yummy. Hope your spirits have lifted a little. Guess it’s strange not having Karl to bounce off, and having to think about the jobs and routes etc as well as the filming on your own. Looking forward to the rest of your journey, however long or short.
Yeah, the cook pot is great as it's just the right size to do two portions, and it doesn't use too much power, so it works on the power bank we have. Definitely an amazing view and although I was nervous in the layby in the night, more from a traffic point of view as they drove past fast, it was lovely to just go and have a stroll on the beach in the morning with Wolfie. I contemplated whether to stay there or not for quite a while, I'm quite indecisive! But decided it was simpler to stay in the end.
Thanks very much. Hope you had a lovely weekend. I won't be coming up your way unfortunately, but I or we, shall definitely be coming up that way once the midges have done one!😂
Nice position, Helen. Easy to walk up or down to the beach! Nice area to spet stuff out and use loos ect. Fuel costs are so expensive when travelling up. I did 1k miles last week.

Thanks for the info. Very useful.😊
You're welcome.
Thanks Helen 💜
What do you run the crock pot off does it use a lot of battery power
@@SusanBocking I run it off a 600w powerbank.
Another great view. Wolfie looks right at home with you. Bless him. Curry sounds nice! 👍😊
Thanks. Curry was yummy!😋

Lovely part of the country. Good film. Wolfie looks good and settled. Safe travels. All the best. 👍🚐🐾😎🏴
It is a beautiful part of the country, you are right there Rob. Wolfie is doing amazing. He's such a good boy.🐾💜
Great video, lovely views, poor wolfie climbing those steps.
I know. Poor me too! He was OK once he got the hang of them. He's not used to using stairs living in a motorhome.

Lovely video. Not sure if I'd have parked there, the cars did look like they were whizzing by!
Some of the cars were fast but only a out 4 went past in the night. I did feel restless all night though, as I didn't feel completely relaxed until I got up lol.
Another cracking vlog helen. Im really enjoying watching this trip. 😊thanks 💜
Thanks Chrissy, really glad you're enjoying the videos. Love the positive feedback.💜
That climb certainly was worth it with that view.
It was. Nearly gave me a coronary though, it was bloody steep! Wouldn't have wanted to live up there lol.
Lovely video Helen, those sea cabbages looked pretty all along the shoreline.
Thanks Mary. The sea cabbages do look really lovely. They are all over Cogden Beach in Dorset, but not as many as here.
Loving this solo trip. Giving me really itchy feet to get back out on the road with George. Need to sort out a new camper soon.❤️🐕
Aw, thanks Sarah. I've been enjoying it.😊
Blinking heckers Helen, you were brave with those steps! Lovely area & you’re making me want to go again 😂 Em 💜
Ha ha ha, you're always in Scotland, I reckon you're there more than home 😂 Steps were a real killer!
HI Helen, a few bob to help with the tour. Wigtownshire, my home county. Love you and Carl's stuff. ❤
Aw, George, that is so very, very kind of you and very much appreciated too.😊
I am gobsmacked by your generosity. You live in a very beautiful part of Scotland. Dumfries and Galloway is probably my favourite part of Scotland.🏴❤️
Liked the spot where you could do all your filling up and emptying, and I liked the video.
Thanks Trevor. Stairhaven is lovely and so good that you can empty and top up there for free.
Lovely video Helen ❤
Thanks very much Steve.
Puffed out going up that hill!
Cute cook pot!
Handy little service point.
Look at those views.
Xxxx
The hill nearly killed me, it was horrible. Wouldn't want to have lived up there, that's for sure!
Lovely vlog Helen ❤😊
Thanks Charlie. Hope all is well with you.

@roaminginraymond Ooh, more hillforts. Like those. Look after yourself. Oh and Wolfie pooch
@BentleyOnTour of course.😊🐾💜

@@roaminginraymond They were busy last week but have gone again now.
Beautiful views as always, there is plenty of gorse about and the sea cabbage is very interesting, don’t fancy eating it though haha.
Apparently you can cook it, but you have to pick the younger tender stems. Not brave enough to try it though lol.
Nice position, Helen. Easy to walk up or down to the beach! Nice area to spet stuff out and use loos ect. Fuel costs are so expensive when travelling up. I did 1k miles last week.
Wow, that's a lot of mileage. It's a glorious day again today. I'm on 672 miles so far, but got to get back yet lol.
@@roaminginraymond well you will be close to 1k also then!
