    Materials that are subjected to extreme mechanical loads can only be designed within the range of their low cycle fatigue, i.e. up to a maximum of 10^5 load changes. Typical specimens used for LCF tests are threaded and alternating load (tensile and compression) is used. When testing flat samples the chellenge is to prevent the buckling of the sample. The video shows an LCF test with an anti-buckling device to prevent this buckling. The HC100 has an integrated power unit which means it does not require additional hydraulic supply. The hydraulic body over wedge grips have excellent alignment and are ideal for LCF testing of flat samples.
