Ssshhh!!! Don't tell anyone how easy it is. I wanted to hike up Kinder Scout today, but there were zero parking spaces. All lay-bys were chockablock too. Drove passed Mam Tor. It was like Christmas Eve in town an hour before closing. I drove to Ladybower, zero parking. Cock Hill, zero spaces. I gave up and came home. But I wonder if you are preaching to the converted? But on a serious note, everything you said is spot on. I started June 2022 and couldn't even get up Mam Tor. 7 months later, I'm 3 stone lighter and 2 off finishing the Ethel Challenge. Walking/Hiking is the best thing I could have done. Despite my failings today, I still support getting out there. But leave me a parking place, please. 😉
Yeah, it has gotten really buzzy after covid, but that's why the bus service has done a long-range ticket for £2 can get from Derby to the peak district for £2! @George Dawson Tbh I haven't had a problem with them, and they are always nice and give right of way to me so it is fine with me but only thing I would say is at peak times there a lot of cars at the bottom of the woods so can be hard to park
