I talked a lot about using ats to practice maneuvers with my trainer. He was all about it. That was a couple months ago. Now I'm 5000 miles away from getting my own truck from the company. I went to college, have two degrees, and now I'm a truck driver. Never say never.

yeah, I’ve talked to my family on how i’ve learned to back up trailers (not tractor trailers, just regular trailers) and when they found out I learned the basics through GTAIV and the rest through ATS, they thought I was lying.
Side question, how long did it take for you to get that far into the company?

How did you get the overlay at the top that tells you your gear and what not?

Thats Hemil's Route Advisor mod. There's a version that is also on the Steam Workshop but it comes with the bar at the bottom. If you look on the SCS forums in the mod section you can find the offline version that will offer more configuration choices

@@ram89572 awesome! Thank you so much! I play on sequential because I don't have a shifter and a lot of trucks have no easy way of seeing what gear I'm in. I'm about to go vr so I won't be able to use my phone with the sim cockpit app anymore.

@@Brycieb00 Yeah I feel ya. I've been using that particular route advisor mod for many years at this point. I have had it considered as one of my essential mods since the first version of it released for ets2 back in the day. I like to have all that hud info without needing to also have the hud map since I use the in truck gps
