Sidge almost becoming self aware and discovering what wrestling is before realizing and doubling down on the wwe hate was magical.

This was a GOATED episode. Feels like things are finally picking up for the build to SummerSlam. WWE has made so many stars that I think they need to hot potato the WHC for a little while.
I also appreciate Sidge's more cynical views at times, but sometimes it feels like he dominates discussion in a prohibitive way that sucks away any enjoyment of the product.

Can we just get Sidg off the pod when discussing WWE? He used to make some cogent points back in the day and now he is just miserable bc WWE is hot again. He's so in the weeds with the product like I've never seen him with any other company. It's bad media and makes the pod unbearable at times.

Shock Sidgwick didn’t like Raw - he doesn’t try and hide his hate for WWE anymore - no doubt he will praise the 8 man tag on AEW - despite it basically being a repeat of a match from the week before which basically aimed at getting as many people on the card as possible and it’s obvious Dante is there to take the pin

😊 I liked the seeding they did during the show with Chad Gable. Not only did Otis defended the gang in the ring, leaving Chad screaming where you going you’re my family. You can’t leave me then doing a backstage where they pack up and leave continues to yell at them saying we’re family and you leave when I tell you. At the end of the show, the one that you can clearly see on camera at the very end is who, Chad Gable.

Get off the podcast mate if you enjoy literally nothing about the show week in and week out, there are plenty of talented people there who would love the opportunity to broadcast their opinion and yours are truly draining, you quite literally bring the whole podcast down.

I always like listening to sige’s takes and opinions to get a different viewpoint however a couple of recent takes i.e listing a negative of having a camera man film the massacre is bizarre, it’s a tv show so how else would it be communicated to the world, like any angle
why would the camera man be comfortable filming with all those blood and corpses around?

😮 Unfortunately, the biggest problem with TV based wrestling is that it’s a different animal than watching it live at the moment. It’s just like a sports team when you’re there in the crowd it’s a totally different vibe than watching it on TV. So in regards you have to create a reason to watch it on TV. That’s why ridiculous things happen. And this will never change, trying to do TV wrestling combined with a live wrestling presentation will drive people insane. That’s why most of the commentary here when they sound like they’re negative it’s not so much that they’re negative. It’s that they get it. It’s ridiculous and stupid but when you go to see a live show, you’re having a blast.

😮 it also comes back to a comment. I made a long time ago debating whether TV produced wrestling should be in one location/studio or traveling city to city as they do because you do not have control over whether the crowds are going to be in your favor or not. The pandemic proved one thing, if you are lucky enough to find a city or location where the crowd is consistently hot for you all the time because they love you. You could be there all the time and then every once in a while go out and travel to different cities doing your big events. I understand they go city to city to change up the crowds and for the exposure and to not make it monotonous and you can charge whatever you want every time we go to a different city but unfortunately, I think for TV viewing it’s a whole different animal.

😊 boys I don’t know if you’ve forgotten already which I doubt but they have to build up to the next pay-per-view and they have epic TV that they need to fill so having as Sheamus would say a banger after banger every week every single time we just burn everybody out it’s a fine program with Seth Rollins nothing to go ape crap over and it’s just building up Damien Priest, which I think is the goal here to build up Damien Priest so when the match happens, he’s got actual credit

😊 I do have to admit, though it was easier back in the day when WWE was what one would have considered not great wrestling and it was all over the place and made things a lot easier for you guys to critique it but now that it’s actually a little more normalized and not that bad. It’s a little hard to go off on the show. Not saying that that’s what you guys do but when it’s sort of like everything‘s kinda OK you know nothing too ridiculous. Going on. It’s sort of like hard to pull anything out of it. That’s why you three work well because whenever you feel like it’s sort of bland, you guys come up with stuffto talk about skits or whatever so love you guys

😮😮 oh I totally forgot last night I saw the most shocking travesty in TV wrestling. The main event was a triple threat match for a shot at money in the bank. Each wrestler came out when Rey’s turn came to come out, they cut the commercial for like it seemed 5 to 10 minutes. Came back. They were already in the middle of the match and not what 3 to 5 minutes into it straight back to the commercials again. It was the biggest commercial dump. I have ever seen in the middle of a main event, and it took me out of the moment. Basically it was telling us this match doesn’t matter. It was horrific commercial booking.
The level at which you guys just laugh at your own jokes is honestly the worst. It makes it impossible to get through the 1hr plus episodes ye churn out. Il stick to ups and downs from now on.
